I just imagine those 10 bricklink orders will be arriving one after another and i will be extremely happy so lack of food is not even a problem.
One of orders is a bigass pack of pieces i always had problems with.
It contains 15 technic pins, some weird connectors and super useful stuff like that in quantity of 6-10-15.
I will never have problems of not having those pieces again.

I wouldnt mind a 100$ set with for example 2 slightly smaller buildings and less figures. That focuses on a chirstmas dinner.

It wasnt called an "IDEA" for nothing

I literally cannot see any reason they wouldn't put this one forward

Also, vote for this holy fuck I want it
https://ideas.lego.com/projects/119421
>>
They should have two categories of Ideas sets, or something.

A cheaper one (like, the $30-$60 ones) and a bigger ones (Like modular-sized plus).

There's plenty of people who'd buy the big ones, and LEGO only releases one modular a year anyway. And it isn't like they release all that many multi-hundred dollar sets a year.
>>
>>6217651
Scale it down a little and you got a nice modular.

>>
>>6217686

Looks like its two, at best.

Also looks like its about half as deep as an "official" modular.
>>
>>6217679
It's a bit smaller than average modular as far as I can tell, base size aside, but probably sets a precedent for future Ideas modulars.

Wasn't that really ugly old market street modular nobody really talks about also a fan design, now that I think of it?
>>
>>6217687
Ideas mostly exists for the sake of publicity, that's why it's mostly random licensed shit that they know wouldn't sell as full theme but can be easily marketed as a one-off
>>
>>6217692
>Wasn't that really ugly old market street modular nobody really talks about also a fan design, now that I think of it?

Yes it was. In fact, I don't even think it was really a modular until after the fact.

Its almost nothing like any of the other Modulars LEGO has released.

This. It's hilarious how manbabies on 4chan's toy board think they know more about the market than one of the most successful toy companies on the planet. The past few threads have been great for me because I love seeing all the anal angst about Friends, etc.
>>
>>6217690
It's 88 studs wide and 32 deep. That's 2.75 baseplates.
>>
>>6217705

And a lot of that real estate is dedicated to the cobblestone detailing which can easily be cut away.
>>
>>6217689
>>6217703
Ideas is simply first and foremost meant to appeal to people who might buy one set based on something they like as a novelty display piece, rather than people who collect Lego by principle, let alone kids. It's not rocket science.

First moc anon from last thread!
I decided instead of a completely new moc based on HM I would got for a recreation of The Sons' drug room instead since it gave me something to reference while building.
I know it looks kinda off in some places and I'm sure you guys will know better ways to make the walls that take up less pieces and I would love to hear some feedback!

>>
>>6217805

>>6217794

>>

>>
>>6217824
>I think it was a polybag
It was in a book.
>>
>>6217796
What you have now is a good build (though it's simple, but that's the nature of what you're basing it on) just keep on making stuff and you'll get better
>>
>>6217796

>>
>>6217412
love the helmet rack
>>
>>6217820
No I was just going off of screenshots.
Scale is tricky not so much with the room I made since one person was about as wide as a single square tile so I used 2x2s as them and went from there.
Detail is annoying too since most of the maps in HM have lots of very small things littered around the floor which is hard to recreate and I often found myself staring at a small bundle of pixels trying to work out what it was supposed to be

I also don't like the way studs look in LDD so it was nice not seeing the whole room filled with them

Check a few places, like minifig.me or firestar toys, they do third party printing (meaning prints of OFFICIAL lego parts, so not cheap quality) and might either have just a plain white suit, OR they could print one for you. Jack in pic related was done by minifigs.me.

the reason i want it is to use those pieces to mod picrelated plane into the same style as Misfortune Keep.
i think its a nice set that can give you some weird damaged and dirty pieces

but that looks fucking cool, I would think it's Chinese because it doesn't look like the usual boring Lego garbage

it has some neat neutral stickered pieces for run down structures or vehicles, pretty neat red rims if you like that style of cycle and atleast some fun minifigure parts that can be used for custom stuff. Torso from volleyball player might be the same print as the CMF Swimming Champion, but with a red torso instead of black

Coin collector in bottom right corner has a torso that will go great with the new upcoming Hotline Miami Vice Meme Decade guy

If you're going with bootlego, you can maybe see if china has something to help. Bricklink is a good option for real Lego. Maybe if you have a local Lego store you could PAB parts if you have the time to sit in the store and pack cups perfectly. You could also save on shipping if you pick a brick. Good luck

>Are there any other ways to buy bricks in bulk?

It's a little-known fact that you can buy a sealed cardboard box of pieces from the PAB wall at some Lego stores. You might look into that. Otherwise, eBay often has auctions with X pounds of a single color for about $10 per pound.

FYI it's only controversial because the artist is an idiot who thought cutting and gluing pieces was easier than actually building sets. We expect better from you.
>>
>>6219711
>a sealed cardboard box of pieces from the PAB wall
You are better off to buy the parts well packed in a cup than the k-box. But that's an option I probably should have mentioned. sometimes k-boxes go on sale if they store is overstocked on any silly parts that don't move. Those are usually one half of a hinge or palm fronds that aren't very useful in a $100 boxful.
>>

That looks pretty simple, cut pieces aside.

Like all the buildings are just boxes made of 2x4 grey bricks. I'd advise you to pick better source material, there's a shitload of concentration camp images online that would help you build something moderately accurate and creative that isn't "The place where grey 2x4s and baseplates go to get cut up"
>>
>>6219715
How do you even find out about those in the first place?
>>
>>6219693
If you want some advice, look at actual images of camps and realize that you need a lot of grass and dirt and wood
they were not at all as grey as you think they were
you'll need plenty of brick colour too
>>
>>6219784
The k-boxes or kbox sales? I read about the k-boxes online and asked my friendly local Lego store. They happened to be having a clearance and I was able to buy a box of dark read 1x2 bricks for $20. I should have bought more. If you get in good with your local store they can give you heads up when they go on sale. Or just luck into it.
