A stupid question but I noticed on the pricing list

If an all female wave would have given us a muscular body mold I would have been all for it but the reality is it probably wouldn't have. I don't think a more muscular body was ever on the table. So with that said...I am glad this whole wave wasn't females only because I have ZERO interest in any of the bare body mold ones. I just think the mold fucking sucks. The 3D sculpt looks like it has more detail but it did NOT translate into the toy at all. So they needed to make the sculpt more detailed.

How much money do you save for all in order?

Finally decided to take off Boarrior and Morgolyth from my list, got it all down to 210. Maybe later i'll get them.

Ugh. Upped my pledge to $281. Feel like such a whore. But I decided I really wanted that goblin legion builder (love the head on him,) azza spiritbender, and the king dwarf. Because dwarves are cool. Even if they are no taller than goblins.

I'm really hoping that the x6 legion builders can pay for themselves if I flip 3 of them each. I really don't have any room for x6 of them each

I thought about the Goblins but I'm not a fan of the short stacked mold for some reason. I really should sell off my Dwarf.

And I picked the ranger up because I wanted him to fill out my adventuring party with a elf ranger, even if I don't normally care about elves. It's an archetype and I needed to fill that slot. Still need to get a dwarf at some point.

And as other anons have stated, you can't drop your pledge during the backer kit. Kickstarter takes the cash within hours of a project closing, during the backerkit you get a credit for whatever you pledged during the KS. You can then select figure rewards, or not and just give them the money as the pledge isn't a "Purchase" it's an investment in the project. While you can add money during the backer kit, you can't get back money because at that point your investment is already spent.

Well thats why I said to each their own, again stating MY reasons I prefer KS. The money doesnt bother me, im spending 400$ But im way under budget since last year since not much has released I like lately. Also my money management skills are fine so I can afford to drop that and not dip into savings or emergency fund. Honestly the 6 month or so lead of having them in hand is worth it alone for me.

They had a warehouse sale of 7th kingdom and other older stuff for cheap. I checked out super quick and thought i locked in all my options. Paid for it etc. later they sent out emails saying the demand was higher than expected blah blah everything sold out in under a min or so. Canceled everything but it still took a while to get a refund, like 2 weeks or so. Another sale of the MLs post ks when they got inventory in was cartjacked. Just not a lot of luck on the site. I know this wouldnt be the case for the preorder sale but I havent had a lot of luck on the site so again would just rather lock in now. Its good timing for me anyways, my birthday is tomorrow and im splurging on my present to myself. I will forget about it then be surprised in a year and a half or so. Rather than anxiously have to pay attention and get in on a preorder sale when I may have other shit going on.

Long story short, yes you can spend more money during the Backerkit.

Say you pledged $200 during the Kickstarter and chose the Knight Builder (a $60 pledge value) as your Pledge Level. As soon as the Kickstarter ends, that $200 will be removed from whatever payment option you used.

Within a week or two you will receive an email Survey, this is the Backerkit. In the Backerkit, you will be able to select what figures, in addition to the Knight Builder, you would like to receive as rewards. Having pledged $200, $60 of it will go towards the Knight Builder and you will be left with $140 in 'credit' to select an assortment of figures.

If you select an amount of figures where the price total goes over that remaining $140, Backerkit will then charge the difference to whichever payment method you have on file. Meaning if you select an assortment of figures that costs a total of $165, Backerkit will only charge you that extra $15 you spent past your credits.

The Backerkit portion will last approximately 3 weeks (possibly 4, but 3 is the norm). In that 3 week period, you will have until it closes to be able to select and alter your order to however you see fit. You can decide to spend more money then what you pledged for during the KS, allowing you more time to get more funds for more figures, or just break up a big purchase into two chunks. However, once the Backerkit ends, your order is finalized and can no longer be changed. Even if you didn't fully spend your initial pledged credits.

I was wavering on this or the shadow elf pack not sure what I would like more. I got the elf ranger as my only current elf, even though he comes with a bow and quiver. I figured the dual weild bladed staff would be cool and having plenty of options for bows. Plus I just really like weapon packs. I got all of them last run and still didnt have quite enough to arm all my figs. Not sure if the shadow variant would look cooler and I could share the weapons with say Azza or any other evil guys.

I just really like the deer goddess honestly, its a unique figure and different enough from my trend of mostly evil figs. Not a big enough fan of her flock figures unfortunatly. I flip flop on cutting her or keeping. I like her armor sculpt, its something I dont have yet. I love white armor and I missed regular wings, even though I picked up a set of bone wings in ravens. She goes from meh to cool. I guess for most of these i would rather throw money at it and sell it if I hate it than miss it amd regret not getting them.

'Add On Sheet' guy here....50 minutes left.

OK...I can live with this. I did some last minute crunching & considered just saying fuck it & going all in but its just too much to swallow. Maybe I'll get a few more in BK if I get some more gigs. I'm still waiting to see what the king dwarf looks like..

I had to go multiple oh Hangon with the extra heads so I'll have two ghosts & swap armor with one of the plain skeleton legion builders for the 'ghost wearing armor' effect.

Kinda makes me wish the 'all in' was a set AMOUNT of figs as opposed to one of everything (double up one one & get zero on another) but realistically its probably asking for trouble...

Anyways, I'll still update the spreadsheet so everybody can make adjustments in the backer kit if they want to. I know one anon said I missed on that I'll correct after the KS closes & they announce ALL the extras.

I've been a part of tons of Kickstarters, and none of em are as fun as a 4H Kickstarter. The FanEx vote, official forums and these threads always have something interesting going on.

And just for the hell of it, current 'final' faction list. The FanEx figure will eventually get a faction voted for it while the other two will most likely stay a mystery until they get released. That said, Ed from the forums mentioned the Cavern Dwarf was somehow "shady" so my assumptions of him being part of the Legion (following the Dwarf King) is most likely accurate.

I'll update everything again once we have the final product pics and the FanEx has a faction.

I shall sit comfortably with my one figure purchase for tonight.

But once that Backerkit hits...I'm $300 out instantly.

The traditional vidya analogy is that on the larger KS project like Yooka Laylee, Bloodstained, Shenmue they had to acknowledge that they had backing from major publisher, and the KS was an extra income, proof of concept that people want said games so they could get more money from actual investors.

During the Army Alpha KS, BBTS actually had pre-orders running on their site that they'd turn into pledges to try and ensure the KS succeeded, but their account was locked at a certain pledge level and caused the KS to stall. They tried making more accounts but they almost got banned doing it. Large outside investors like BBTS can only add so much to a KS project, and they most likely did, but for a full store order they have to do it outside of KS.

Actually, after the first KS's figures BBTS's mark up was minimal at $15 a figure. Comparatively for the original Raven's line, they had some figures listed at double the price. I'm personally not a big fan of just rushing to throw down extra accessories onto various characters randomly. The initial extra heads were nice, but throwing extra weapons just increases the production cost, for no real gain. I doubt an extra dagger or axe here and there can make/break a character. Now that the KS has ended, I'm hoping that the 4H can take their time and plan properly what they could do with all of this extra money which I'm sure they didn't anticipate. I'd prefer quality over quantity

Maybe take their time to sculpt a new figure, sculpt a new head, etc, or just save the money for longer term investment like a better online store, or an integrated account system so you can actually combine orders.

They certainly weren't randomly adding accessories. Most of the weapons they added to figures were ones that make a lot of sense for the character. That said, there were some that were kind of odd (dual-edged staff blade instead of the short sword for Thistlethorn? Really?). But most of the weapons added an extra layer of value to a lot of figures. In fact I decided to drop an entire weapon pack and instead grab a figure I had no interest in before since he comes with a new head and weapon I really wanted.

Though I do agree they should take some of these funds and upgrade their infrastructure and Customer Service departments. These guys are great at making toys, but they could certainly improve in how quickly they get them out and how well they deal with customer issues.

Actually, the way the KS closed, their production costs should be way down per figure. At 6 times their original desired funds, they'll be producing 6 times the figures. If they planned their production at say, 500 pcs, now it's 3000 pcs. Factory cost per figure is going to be a *lot* lower now, and that difference is probably where all these extras are taking their costs from.

Sadly the keychain is a bit on the heavy side since it is diecast. My black knight, and most of 1.75 figures are to floppy to hold the sword other than on the neutral stance like I just pictured.

This also highlights the crippling lack of up & down joint for the hand. I'd trade up and down swivel for these in out joint, it allows for way more posing options, especially when trying to put a big sword over the shoulder, or have spear/rapier user do a stabbing pose.

If the pliers have teeth or anything, you can even weather the belts some by crimping and beating up the leather strips. I'm sick and tired of how floppy the hips are on the splits motion for my 1.75 black knight and templar knights. They stand straight down okay, but put them in any wider feet stance and they'll do slide and do splits, especially over glass/detolf surface.

I already tried to rub in some floor polish, then super glue into crevices of the joints by using exacto knife with no avail other than making the hidden joint a mess and ugly Does anyone have a better trick up their sleeve on how to tighten this kind of swivel joint?

My biggest gripe with the results is that instead of the potential female rogue that was the driving force for most of the votes, we get ANOTHER blue armored magic user. Paint the armor like leather, the pauldrons and kneepads silver and the hood and cape black, and she'd be a much more unique figure.

Thanks probably not my best work, but I'm decent happy with it. Since the skelebuilder started off darker, drybrushed some silver. Then some silver lightened with white for highlights, then just a little more drybrushing with bronze for some shinier rust, then a black wash in the detail sections, and then sponged on some rust at the end. Then covered it in dullcote.

I fucked up on his right pauldron though and you can see where the black wash pooled too much. I'd fix it, but eh, maybe later.

i was on board until i saw this picture.

It really emphasises how out of place the hood is.

What does it connect to? I was willing to still slap on battlemage tag, but she needed the full chest armor, not the corset.

Blue and gold, sure i'll take it, looks regal, then you get the disgusting leather bracers and boots that really just take away from any aesthetic this character had.

This is a pass for me.

There's no excuse for the elbow. They bothered to make it an articulation point, so it already break the sculpt as it is. But then again 4H sculpts for Mattel and DCUC stuff which they worked on is the king of ineffective articulation.

This is not me complaining about non-existing articulation. The articulation already exist, but badly engineered that it is not effective.
