The rest of the line isn't to my taste, the new Hound looks alright but I'm more than fine with my fatty KO Hound.

The generations stuff looks pretty solid, but most of the new figures already have better toys (either older like the Botcon/TFCC Krok/Pounce or 3P like Overlord/Blitzwing/Octane).

Kinda interested in Nautica unless MMC decides to tease one sometime and is that Windblade a new mold? I really would love a Windblade that wasn't a mess, but the RID one has shit paint so hopefully this new generations one is a winner.

Babu seaspray looks 1000% adorbs. Guess I'll get the Octopunch deco of the movie Seaspray so I can replace that one with the new one.

Metalhawk is a nice surprise but kinda don't need that mold twice.

Ok some after looking at some pics. Thunderwing uses pieces from TM Fangry, namely the tiny TM head, arms, and legs. Seems like only the torso and Thunderwing face are new (and the only bits with metal).

The one for Rodimus appears to be Ptero (not entirely sure due to the head and lighting, but he does share the arms and legs, again, only metal bits appear the be the main body and head plate)

This was such a mistake. Beast Wars/Beast Machines was such a deviation of the franchise it barely counts as transformers. Design aesthetic was all wrong for the series. Its mostly forgotten by all but the most hardcore fans(who surely stuffed the polls and skewed this) and devoting any time to it is a mistake. Not to mention all the past homages have shelfwarmed. This will do the same.

Ultimately Beast Wars was just a silly 90's mistake in an iconic franchise. The same level as mullet Superman, leather jackets on Marvel characters, X-TREEEME redesigns, and the like. Its cringeworthy. Its not real Transformers.

Beast Wars was a big-ass hit. RID sold well. Armada was a hit (with kids, where it counts at the end of the day). Energon/Cybertron sold just fine, with stores ordering huge amounts of the product. The resurgence of the comic series throughout those years was popular, despite Dreamwave being such ass. The shows had reasonable support from Cartoon Network. DVD sales of the original series were pretty good, even with all the problems the Rhino versions had. But yeah, it may as well have been dormant!

I got drunk last night and apparently bought this guy on ebay for 40 bucks. I like the mold, and love the color-matched titan master vehicle/weapon. I'll probably get the titan-master pack with his Hasbro-style head, since I prefer it.

Main and popular characters have ALWAYS gotten multiple figures. It didn't start with TF, and it sure as Hell isn't going to end with it.

Plus this practice has been going on in TF since G1/G2, and only really picked up with Bayformers. So if this practice has been continuing for 10 years, then anyone with a modicum of common sense can see that it must somehow be paying off for Hasbro.
