I went out yesterday and only target had the SU blind boxes and 3 were gone, but they didn't look too tampered with so I bought one in the spot which was supposed to be lapis because the figure in the 1/36 spot was gone. Turns out they were more moved around than I thought because when I opened the box it turned out to be the 1/36 box, but I got onion. I doubt anyone would trade their peridot for him, plus the shipping wouldn't be worth it so I'm going to check a few further away local stores for untouched displays and then just give in and pay $15 for peridot. I also bought the last SU pint sized hero at GameStop just to see if it was Jasper, but of course it was just Steven. Steven has been the first figure I've gotten for all 3 of the blind box figure brands actually.

There a lot of possibilities, one of them being that your Target's reusing the display and restocking it with more SU blind boxes when they run low. Another thing to remember is that Onion is the easiest of the 1/36s to get, largely in part due to being the lightest 1/36 in the set.

I kind of get their point, but I think it all comes down to what people get out of it. Like I collect a few different figures, cards, coins, etc. I don't buy things because they say 'collectible!' on it. Idk why exactly but I hate these.

It's like they fall in this safe normie grey area of being "almost artisitic" like they're props for girls to signal to dudes that they have cool "interests" they can relate to.

Also they seem lazy, like they have the same amount of detail as a lego minifig but at a much larger scale... which can work if it is done on purpose...

Maybe it's just me but the stylized big round face aesthetic is unattractive too. A lot of times the head is the most iconic part of a figure and they're all blown out into this moeblob by default.

finally found some of these in the wild. 2 Roses, 2 Connies, a Stevonnie, a Peridot, and a Star Eye Steven, plus the Water Clone Rose and a normal Steven since they allowed me to take the case. Kinda miffed about the dupes, but that's the risk one takes with blind bags.

Debating whether I should trade the Water Clone Rose for other figures. It looks kinda neat, but the other Water Clone figures are exclusive to stores that don't carry them anymore (at least locally), and I would be content with trading it for 2-3 other ones.
