I figure this is the best place to ask: What's the best 6-7 inch Batman figure out there in terms of a balance of sculpt and poseability? Preferably not the mezco dk figure as I don't have 200 bucks to spend on one figure. I have the jae lee designer series batman and he is probably the least poseable figure I own. Any suggestions? robin looks like he has no neck because of his hood though. either push it forward to fix it or make the neck longer, but the longer neck will always look worse

whats with every dc line announcing a bunch of figures a year in advance, and taking forever to release them? They haven't even made a single bombshell and they are announcing an extra wave a 6 already. Same thing with dc films and icons, they release a single figure every month or two, but have the next 10 of them lined up (even ended up cancelling a bunch the films figures). As far as I know they use Gentle Giant. Whether or not they share people I do not know. Definitely someone with a distinct style doing the ML heads over the last couple years.

I feel the same, it's really solid overall (like I said, a little too tall), only major problem I have with it is the heat vision is a bitch to fiddle with. Also, the left eye on mine is slightly off, but it's not horrible.

Swooped mine up for 28 bucks off amazon. Definitely worth it at that price.

Also replaced his twizzler eye beams with some spare gunpla swords I had lying around and it looks much better. No modding needed, the eye holes are the perfect size for them.

No it's not. If anything it's overrated. The waist looks ridiculous, and due to the way it's shaped, he gets barely any forward crunch. The joint integration on the elbows and knees look really bad, the eye beams suck, his biceps look deflated, the likeness is terrible, most of the suit is bare plastic and looks cheap, and the scale doesn't fit in with anything, being 6.75 inches tall.

As a retailer who actually _likes_ the Batman Animated line, I just stopped ordering anything from after I had enough of their lies. They never ever hit a release date. The lies don't stop there, no, this stuff shows up 6 months later missing accessories that were clearly solicited. The last straw was that Booster/beetle set that was pricejacked months after orders were placed. It was a gamble at $40, completely unsaleable at $55.

And as a customer? Done after Animated Batgirl.

What type and dosage of drugs are they on to think doubling down on lies and pricejacking is a solution to their problems? If it's not drugs, they need to have their management tested for autism or something.

While I'll say that it's been a very difficult sale to collectors, the sales figures that DCC has access to are sales to _retailers_.

After all of these years selling to small shops, DCC still doesn't understand that we're not Walmart. We only have so much money to work with and we can't have it locked up with no product on shelves for 6 months after the solicited delivery date. It's one thing to happen occasionally, it's another to for it to be 90% of the time. Surprise, we don't feel any urgency getting our orders in.

And that's before the surprise dropping of accessories or coming back at us for more money.

I watched an interview with a Mezco rep and apparently the plan is to produce three Batman figures that represent three distinct phases of Batman's personal history. The Ascending Knight represents his earliest crimefighting days, then there's going to be a figure representing Batman in his prime, then there's going to be old Batman in a similar vein as The Dark Knight Returns.

Yeah I saw about the release, but having never collected mezco i'm not sure when preorders go up. I fucking hate how the dark knight figure they made is now 250 fucking dollaridoos aftermarket and i'm hoping to maybe get this one before it skyrockets due to scalping/scarcity/whatever. Of course if it goes up for much more than 70 bucks i'll have to pass anyway...

Not everything Icons is getting cancelled, more like the individual figures that were initially announced are being "shelved" since they're re-thinking their priorities.

Going off of interviews they seem to be gearing more towards specific character outfits/moments than necessarily an all-in-one take of a character (which is weird because the Icons line was more like the former anyway).

So the line isn't technically dead, it's more like it's being pulled back for more careful and selective releases, which still sucks but eh.
