OH SHIT! MEZCO YOU MAD MAN!
>>6173974
What's so mad about this?
>>6173980
They're in a new 4 inch scale.
Doctor Strange
Iron Man
Wolverine
>>6174019
FU-
some nice titties would be nice
wow lol... I'm guessing the 6 inch line sold well? This is an odd choice, cloth over 4 inch scale figures seem a bit of a risky choice, unless I'm just not aware there's a big, unanswered demand for this.
>>6173998
So garbage scale then
>>6174016
whoa is this one cloth free?
>>6173974
whoa. I might need to get that DD.
>>6173974
>holiday 2017
yeah right
No purple gloves or black underwear. Throw this shit in the garbage.
>>6174059
Yeah no way they're making that date. They'd have to pump out the 15+ planned and delayed releases before then, which isn't going to happen.
>>6174067
God dammit, it has the same fucking build as the BvS Batman; squat and built like a fridge. 1st appearance is supposed to be way more lean
They also showed Ash from Evil Dead and some zombies from Dawn of the Dead for anyone interested
Daredevil looks nice.
>>6174138
I know some of their figures had had huge-looking heads (Red Skull comes into mind) but this looks even worse with the skinny arms. Waiting to see how this looks once more promos/photos come out.
>>6174083
Pics?
>>6174140
>>6174142
Groovy~
>>6174147
I don't know it's just me but this looks to be one of their best renditions by far and the liberties taken actually fit the character's aesthetic.
>>6174149
Mixed feelings with this one. It's cool in that it resembles Sideshow's "modern take" on the classic suit but I don't know, it ends up feeling like a glorified ML without the cloth aspect.
>>6174140
>skinny arms
Have you seen Gal Gadot? Those arms are spot on.
>>6174151
I don't even know where to begin with this one.
>>6174149
>shitty 80's granny yoga pants
I'm glad that they're keeping to the spirit of the source material.
>>6174152
I don't deny that, hence why I said the skinny arms only serve to exacerbate the problem with the huge head.
>>6174151
I think the biggest issue is they're going up against Sentinel in more or less the exact same price and size bracket with a comic-inspired Iron Man. They needed to bring their AAA-game engineering-wise, and didn't.
Can't wait for this guy's Mezco News at 10
>>6174154
Oh almost forgot Wolvie.
>>6174166
This is a must fucking buy for me.
>>6174149
It's not just you. I saw this stuff in the Marvel General and only Strange looked okay. Wolverine's costume looks too smooth and shapeless. DD looks fat. Iron Man has the proportions of the old 4" Hasbro figure and looks about the same quality.
>>6174149
I dig it. Nothing there that screams, "This ain't the Strange you know from the old comics!"
>>6174162
>This guy has 25,000 subscribers
>>6174149
>thos Marvel Legends tier effects
>>6174166
Shoulder pads are gay and unnecessary.
>>6174157
>hence why
If I could reach you, I'd shove a pitchfork in your taint.
>>6174186
You are overexcited like a woman. Get thee to a nunnery and forget your useless sex parts.
>>6174166
Should come with a Logan head smoking a cigar instead of the neutral masked head
>Still waiting on my Punisher PX Exclusive
> theyve changed the release date at least 4 times
just kill me now lads
>>6174151
maybe its all diecast
>>6174170
Charlie Cox does have a chubby face/frame so i'd say its accurate. I think these are prototypes so maybe by the time wolverine releases he'll look less smooth
Looks nice, just wish Mezco would stop taking artistic liberties. I like stuff being accurate to the source material, not some random toy sculptors head.
That's my preference though.
>>6174067
>first-appearance
>no trunks
>no kitchen gloves
>no gun to go son of sam on dracula
Mezco is one of the few toylines I legit hope goes down. What a crock of shit.
>>6174258
why would anyone want that ugly ass first appearance costume is my question
>>6174234
Yeah, Mezco has consistently shown that their previews are not as good as the finished product
http://thefwoosh.com/2017/02/mezco-one12-toy-fair-preview?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
here's some more info from today. Looks like we're getting variants for most of everybody, including yellow/blue Wolverine. Plus Thor Ragnorok figs!
>>6174332
http://thefwoosh.com/2017/02/mezco-toyz-one-12-collective-toy-fair-reveals-promotional-images?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
promotional pics as well
>>6174147
Were they not able to get the Bruce Campbell likleness? Or...?
>>6174282
It's fun.
The fwoosh board butthurt over these reveals is AMAZING
>>6174766
Well, duh. He doesn't even have the web-wings.
Where were these images taken?
>>6174929
Pre Toy Fair event
>>6174149
i like this, though i wish they would have gone a bit further with the cloak
Boy the costume on these all look really shitty.
loving the logan, but i wish the yellow was a little more orange
>>6175151
The shorts seem a little long, but yeah, I'm excited to replace my ML one.
Ghostbuster still look like shit.
But will they ever do Twilight Zone?
Are they going to reveal more at Toyfair or is this it?
>>6175151
dafuq is this shit?
>>6175525
With marvel they always change things around and do their own versions of the costumes.
It's so strange considering they don't do that with DC or other properties they do.
>>6175528
They do tho, didn't you see Green Arrow?
>>6174252
Agree. DKR Batman was such a great start to the line. Then they completely fumbled it.
>>6175528
Just look at the new Batman. Great head sculpt. Looks like the First Appearance. Then it goes to complete shit.
Am I the only one who thinks their heads look way too big for their bodies?
>>6174166
Looks like a midget.
>>6175664
You know he's 5'3 in the comics right?
>>6174166
>>6175664
>>6175746
They scaled his proportions wrong. His head is too big, and his arms too long. In fact, it looks like they just shortened the legs of a standard body without touching the upper half. I respect making him shorter than the other figs, but they did it the wrong way.
>>6175755
This is what i meant. Maybe it's just the angle but he has stubby midget legs.
Did it ever occur to anyone that they might HAVE to do original designs due to licensing? It wouldn't surprise me at all since they already have to do things like the soft goods in the first place to be able to make these. They had to specifically ask if they could do Iron Man without soft goods.
>>6174053
No, clearly if it's called One:12 then obviously they're 12 inch figures. No doubt about that at all. Why else would they have 12 their name like that? It's just like how 1/6th figures are all 6 inches.
I'm personally more into collecting 18 inch figures myself.
>>6175892
Even as original concepts, they're still odd design choices, unless they're somehow specifically told to design them that way.
I know everyone is in a tizzy over the Knightmare Batman cancelation but why wasn't BVS Superman present yesterday? Is he canceled too??
>>6175892
But TDKR Batman...
>>6176114
Mezco might have different requirements with Marvel. All of their Marvel figures had tweaks to them to set them apart from the comic book versions, but they seem to have no problems doing comic book accurate versions of DC characters. Look at their Shazam, Superman, Flash, Green Arrow, and Joker figures.
>>6175532
I would argue their BvS bats is pretty stellar
>>6176509
hahahhahahahahahahhaha!!!!!!!
>>6176509
The head sculpts are amazing. I think the grey suit could have been better though.
>>6177030
>>6177084
shouldn't that be in the front?
>>6177084
THICC
>>6176509
Looks decent overall but the arms just don't work in this pose. Shoulder area looks ridiculous.
Do newer Mezcos still have shitty ankle articulation?
>>6173998
It's blurry as shit, but it still looks like One:12 to me.
>>6175894
>collecting 18 inch figure
You must have a really big space for storage..
>>6176509
Is that his sex face?
>>6177030
Oh no, the Joker's toxin has claimed another victim!
>>6177307
18" figures are all the rage between NECA 1:4 scale releases and Jakks Big Figs.
I mean, obviously you were just funnin around, but it's a pretty reasonable thing.
>>6177084
Hank Hill got a figure?
>>6177288
he comes equipped with full rockers
Why does the Deathstroke look so terrible? I would buy him in a heartbeat otherwise.
>>6178150
Provide evidence.
>>6178166
Looks good desu
>>6178177
Those shoulders look super weird. And his legs seem stumpy.
>>6178189
That looks fucking fantastic.
>>6177084
That's the Hot Toys figure.
Yes, really. Mezco's 6" Batman is better than the HT version.
>>6174166
The shorts are fucking histerical
I haven't been a fan of the cloth on most of the Mezco stuff that I've seen so far, but I'm really digging that Dr. Strange and Wolverine. I'm thinking about picking up the Joker that's coming out. How's the articulation on this line so far?
>>6173974
Netflix Punisher when?
>>6178181
BONES!
Definitely getting this. Their Star Trek line is probably their best.
>>6178192
Don't it, tho?
>>6178440
I hope they branch out to other Trek series when they finish the TOS crew. I'd love to have a decent DS9 figure.
Frank is fucking awesome
>>6178770
Enterprise would be good too. The Art Asylum figures are alright but they're a mix of uniforms and space suits. Oh, plus Trip was an exclusive.
>>6175151
>shoulderpads
>shorts
If it wasn't for those, I could def get behind this guy.
>>6177448
How far do they rock though?
>>6180984
They're not ankle rockers, they're ball joints, so it depends on the figure and the sculpt of the boot.
BvS Batman has really good range, Captain America and Punisher are more limited but decent. Daredevil is pretty good but not as good as Batman. I don't have any others.
Can anyone vouch for how well the quality has held up in recent releases?
I've seen it in so many lines when the initial release acting as the flagship model (in this case being Batman) has so much effort and care poured into it, but as soon as they start pumping out releases more regularly each release becomes more and more lackluster.
>>6181193
You could try reading the thread
>>6176509
look at that bat-bulge.
>>6178192
I'd say it looks a bit... Strange.
>>6179126
Nice!
Got more pics?
>>6181345
Only took 2 others...
>>6181358
I'll try to take more later.
>>6181203
Based on your reply it's clear that you didn't.
>>6181807
There's multiple posts gushing about a recent release up and down this thread
Holy shit, they seriously shrunk WW's head down with photoshop in the promo pics.
>>6182819
Here's the actual from the event
>>6182821
>that fucking face
Did Ben Garrison sculpt that?
Damn, they got me.
>>6182819
>in progress prototype shown
>>6173974
Is it just me or did they rework his face sculpt?Either way, this thing's an insta buy for me.
>>6182943
Shit, I meant to attach this.
>>6182933
Oh. OH. God damn. That is beautiful.
>>6182933
Best Darkseid ever
I'm hoping they do an articulated Hellboy
Looks fantastic.
I still wanna grab the one that's out for the wire batons, but this one might earn Matt two spots on my shelf.
>>6174140
why is that every wonder woman figure based on this actress is so godawful? I'm starting to think she really wasn't a good choice for the role, physically speaking (ok, acting-wise isn't much better).
Much more flattering shot of Wolverine.
The shorts didn't bother me even in the early photos, but it'll be cool if they refine it as production continues.
Batman looks good. As a guaranteed selling character, I hope they don't wait too long to milk a more iconic look. Give me a Year One esque Batman and I'll sell anything in my collection to afford it.
>>6174766
what he said. the tag says "ascending knight", it's obviously from that specific story arc.
>>6183201
>it's obviously from that specific story arc
Which doesn't seem to exist since all results for "ascending knight batman" lead back to this toy
So
>>6183201
There is no "Ascending Knight" storyline. This is just mezco's attempt at "modernizing" Batman's 1939 costume.
>>6183190
We'll have to see how she does in her own movie where she shows up for more than 3 minutes.
But seriously it's just the cheap/shitty people that toy companies hire on both ends (design and production) that makes these toys look so uneven.
>>6182947
I'll buy
>>6174067
>>6174258
What could have been.
>>6183201
>obviously from that story arc
>obviously from something I'm assuming that exists that doesn't actually exist
Obviously you have no fucking clue what you're talking about.
>>6182933
Holy fucking shit
Thanos remold when?
>Everyone's got their Frank and are enjoying it
>can't because I ordered the Exclusive version and loldelays
Just fuck my shit up, man. The wait better be worth it
>>6183194
Wish they drop the shorts. Looks bad
Space Ghost got delayed again...
I feel this is going to be 3A's Judge Fear all over again...
>>6183609
Wow. That looks much better. Is that a Mezco proto or some other toy line entirely?
>>6184660
custom, also 1:6 not 1:12
>>6183609
If Schumacher got to make the Batman Year One movie he wanted.
Still can't wait for this guy to be released.
>>6185005
And Strange looks killer as well.
Please let them at least consider making Beta Ray Bill when they get going with Thor stuff.
>>6185010
Just hope they work on those proportions cause his head looks quite big and his legs are piss thin.
>>6185025
Looks great to me. He's a surgeon-turned-sorcerer, not a street fighter.
>>6185140
shit *cloak
>>6185140
According to an interview with mezco guy, it is.
>>6182933
It could barely move it doesn't even matter I'll preorder
>>6185010
I wish i was a Dr Strange fan, just so i can justify paying all that dosh for an overpriced but perfect looking action figure.
>>6185149
very nice
Damn I really want a steampunk Captain Nemo, and a whole bunch of spiderman suits. Scarlet Spider or gtfo
>>6186256
>steampunk Captain Nemo
Like, a new 1:12 collective figure of the one they did years ago?
>>6192240
Arrrrrg! I cut me own head off 'n stuck it in the snow. I'm the best at what I do, matey!
>>6192295
Why are you making him sound like a pirate?
>>6192299
>thinks you need a reason to impose pirate speak on a fictional character
The hell is wrong with you?
>>6178181
oh fuck yes
has the fatshirt Kirk been released yet? I've seen pictures of it around today but no dates
>>6192460
I hope we get a Robin or other street level heroes like Blue Beetle(Ted Kord) in this style soon.
I know people are annoyed its not a recognizable purple gloves/Y1 design but I've enjoyed a number of Mezco's original designs.
I'd like to see this lined up beside their GA, Darkseid and Deathstroke.
Speaking of, anyone got a good pic set/review of GA?
>>6183195
>Heavy Assault Bat Brick
wut
>>6192460
I actually want this now.
And Dr Strange is just too amazing not to buy.
whytf is mezco trying so hard? Bunch of fucking assholes who want nothing but my money.
>>6193868
Sort brass knuckles/batarang?
Bat brick. Huh.
I dunno.
>>6197632
I agree. Either it's the same price as regular One:12s at 80ish dollars despite not having cloth goods (maybe die cast?), or it's cheaper. The only thing that could justify it nearing the cost of Sentinel figures is some really impressive construction.
>>6174019
Midgetrine
>>6199867
That makes me a little uncomfortable. Popeye works as a cartoon but making his face and forearms realistically fleshy is disturbing.
>>6174138
How is it this look is fine everywhere but in real life?
>>6199481
You do know that comic Wolverine is a manlet right?
>>6199909
Accurate body desu
>>6199879
The likeness has improved since the last time they showed it off. I'm assuming better paint job.
I wonder if there was/ is a chance for mezco to do TMNT figures? Shredder and Splinter would have some cloth, but the turtles have no need for it, so maybe that could pose a problem for mezco since nearly all figures include some cloth material.
>>6174019
BTFO by Revoltech
I'm disappointed they didn't show the Batmobile again, or announce any new vehicles. Anyone know if it was cancelled?
>>6173974
a little blurry, don't you think?
>>6200221
Mezco would run into the same problems as NECA.
PlayMates is going to cockblock as much as possible.
Also, Shredder, Bebop and Rocksteady would be perfect... but what style would they choose?
Their own? Mirage? Cartoon? Archie? Or Mexican party favor versions like the figuarts?
>>6201229
Mezco seems to like giving their comic book figures a customized aesthetic, so I'd love to see them do something along the lines of what DreamEX is doing for TMNT in a 1/12 scale.
Also I know it's old news but Captain Marvel looks so damn good. I want this figure so bad.
>>6201244
I recall his figure looking like a carbon copy of Norm McDonald. What happened?
>>6199842
what a cutie
>>6174361
Why's he giving me duckface
>>6199867
>Those wrist joints
It looks like his hands are squeezing out of worms.
>>6204645
I think it's pretty impossible to make wrist joints not looking like that with forearms that huge, unless you want a very obvious joint there instead
Where should I preorder/buy Mezcos from? BBTS?
NECA too, my TRU is shit so I'm thinking of ordering online.
>>6208836
Wherever you want.
>>6208868
Yeah but like, which is cheapest and has the best service?
I should've said, I live in Canada :(
>>6208874
BBTS is usually fine for Mezco, in my experience. I think Amazon has some listed for preorder, but I dunno how any of this might be different in canuckland.
>>6212188
Amazon sellers put them up for, at times, double the price. BBTS sorts their shipments by number of pre-orders, so you can almost always snag one from them.
Also, my Mezco Batfleck and Captain America arrived yesterday. I got them because Frank and DD were absolutely stellar, and Batman in particular is probably the finest 1:12th scale figure I own. He literally feels like a scaled down Hot Toys figure, except with more mobility. Mezco Batfleck is my absolute favorite Batman now.
Captain America is passable. He's okay, but doesn't feel like he was worth it. At best, he's fine. He's serviceable, except his suit is a onesie, and looks awkward when posed.
If they do more of their weird "original" designs, when they get to Guardians I hope they use something like Secret Wars: Infinity Gauntlets designs instead of the film designs, because we all know they ain't gonna be DnA designs.
>>6184458
>>6184448
>>6183603
Found an edit that with some slight changes. Not sure if it's much better though.
Still interested in the final figure though.
>>6218872
From that thumbnail all I see is a tiny body Wolverine with a giant head.
I really want that Popeye... I like him, even if he is a modernized design, I like it.
when does he go on sale?
email from BBTS says yellow Daredevil should be arriving soon.
>>6218936
Early to mid 2018 is what we've been hearing so far.
>>6218872
It seems like they were going for this costume but decided to all the boot tips and shorts. If it didn't have those plus maybe more orange-ish, I'd get it in a heartbeat. But after the franking I got yesterday, I don't feel right giving them any more of money.
>>6199917
The suit in season 2 looks pretty good, still needs some tweaking but its a huge jump from season 1
>>6192460
Is this not just the Zero Year costume?
>>6222457
Minus the purple gloves, basically yeah
