Because Titanfall as a concept simply doesn't lend itself well to cheap and good toys. It's a game where you pilot giant fucking robots that are highly detailed. You either need to stylize it heavily (like Funko) or do it right and go really expensive and accurate (like ThreeZero). Middle-of-the-road approaches usually don't go well (see: Megabloks and PAK).

I haven't played Destiny, but I like the armored torso so much. I only wish the base fig was bulkier, had appropriate armored arms and legs, and came in black so that we could use it as a base for Robocop or a Mass Effect armor.
The hunter armories look like the guys are wearing expensive sweaters rather than plated undersuit with those sleeves.

To be fair, the Hunters and Warlocks mostly wear cloth armor in the game. Some outfits have some plating here and there, sure, but the armor is mostly for the Titan anyway.

Hunters are more or less the thieves/rogues/Speed units of Destiny, and kind of loners, so they're always pretty much just wearing tattered capes and shit they find from other hunters.

And even the titans doesn't seem to be wearing a sealed powersuit. I get the class thing. I'm just bothered that the undersuit looks like it somehow transitions from segmented armor in the torso to sweater in the arms. The cryptid armory bothered me the most, because the undersuit was colored like clothing while the pants and scarf were coloured like metal. Plus the copper color in the armor looked crap in my opinion.

You know who has nice armored arms? The two guys in the wraith set. I don't understand why MB didn't use the arm, vest, pistol and head molds anywhere else. They're great. Does anyone have the set btw? I wonder if the guns at the wings of the wraith can be held like rifles by the figs.

The minis are pretty inaccurate anyway, but they're pretty close, so it doesn't really sting too bad. Also, I imagine a lot of this stuff is hard to do at that size, and considering HOW close they're getting, some liberties are expected and acceptable.

They're just using the same body for all three classes so they can just do the one body, and have all the armor across all three classes fit on one body.

Well, see, that's kind of the problem.

I've played Destiny, not since day one, but I got it a couple weeks after it came out. And I was pretty pumped when I heard Mega was doing Destiny sets. But then I though..."What exactly are they even going to make?"

Destiny doesn't really have many (if any) truly memorable vehicles. Save for maybe that Arcadia Jumpship they did.

There's only three personal vehicles in Destiny: The Sparrows (which you called Speeder bikes), Pikes (which are basically just Fallen versions of Sparrows) and the Cabal Interceptors.

Vehicles are practically an afterthought in Destiny. Its not like Halo where you have some vehicle combat, and things like that. Sparrows are basically just utilitarian vehicles that get you from point A to point B quickly. Pikes and Interceptors are found in maybe 2~3 Missions and strikes each, and you can totally ignore them. And there's really only one PvP mode (Combined Arms) that uses vehicles, and it's literally just one of the other modes (Control, a mode where you capture and hold points on the map) except with vehicles thrown in.

Wave 1 was pretty solid, and frankly, they did about the best they could for a first wave, but the only real vehicle variety is the Sparrows and Jumpships. Supposedly in this upcoming "wave" we're getting another Jumpship, and a Cabal tank and some other Cabal vehicle.

Outside of that, I'm not sure what they could even do....I guess there's the enemy dropships (Tombships for the Hive, Fallen Ketchs, and the Cabal dropships)...maybe some variations on that Fallen walker or something.

Destiny doesn't even really have all that memorable locations. I guess they could do a diorama of like, the Tower (main social space/Hub) or something, but...

Well, the armor and weapons are probably the highly of the game. There's tons of really cool looking stuff to chase down and collect, especially if you're kind of into the grind to collect all the unique looking high-end stuff.

There's just not a lot for vehicles. Like I said, there's a lot of variety if we're talking about the Sparrows and the Jumpships. It was my hope from the beginning that they'd do at least one or two Jumpships per wave, but that second wave was pretty "eh" for variety. Just two more sparrows, two more armory packs, and that pretty meh Hive set.

I actually enjoyed it, but I enjoy the grindy nature of RPGs anyway. So seeking out a bunch of the Exotic guns and armor parts was a lot of fun, then using them all to see how they all worked.

That said, definitely don't get the PS3 version....they cut support to the last-gen consoles back in like, August of last year. I think they do some tweaking and bug-fixing in the PS3 and 360 versions still, but they don't update them really anymore, and they haven't added any new content, to those versions, and they didn't even get the new expansion pack in September last year.

For me personally it's the new Pokemon. I cannot wait to see them and am hoping that they turn out really nice. Other than that I really like their minifigures, so if anything cool gets revealed in that realm, which it surely will, I'll keep my eyes peeled on those. Someone also mentioned it but if the scale is applicable I think it'd be cool if certain Pokemon could get their own minifigures. Also hoping the Pokemon are to scale, though that would make Gyarados huge!

Yeh, both is what makes most sense. Smaller Pokemon, like maybe Hitmonlee or Hitmonchan, or even Machamp could be minifigures (Machamp could have the double torso of those 4 armed destiny characters, for example). Then something like a Blastoise obviously couldn't be, so he'd need to be brick built. I would also hope they can achieve a mostly streamlined look. If they look like they're made of bricks then it might kill the illusion of them being what they are. Of course some nubs sticking off of them wouldn't be a big deal, but overall. They could even do human trainers as minifigures. I wouldn't mind some lesser articulation on the humans, but I'd expect any Pokemon to be fully articulated.

The bruiser set however talks about it being a battle inside the tower's hanger as Lord Shaxx, sword in hand, battles a member of the Red Guard who uses cleavers. From what I can see;

Cabal Goliath Tank looks great. Minifigures look ace, and that Zavala looks fantastic (still hoping they do a Jovian Guard mini using him as the base though.)

Hard to tell about the armor packs, though. They're showing the current two (the Titan one and the Warlock one) Its kind of hard to see what the middle one, and the one above them are, though. They might be new ones.

Two new Sparrow sets. One with two Thrall (I forget the name of the Sparrow, but it was the freebie that I think we got with the TTK expansion). Also, another Sparrow set with a harpy and a fucking Vex Goblin, fuck yeah.

I don't see anything on the new Jumpship, though. Sadness.

Just going off Destiny alone, there were rumored to be three sets. We see only one of those sets here, but we also see two more that weren't even announced.

New stuff still seems to be coming out a lot, especially for CoD and Halo, and even TMNT and a few others seem to get a fair amount of stuff often.

I don't think they're really doing bad, just their handling of their own information is pretty bad.

I've think that, due to a combination of high prices, relatively niche/small brands, and word of mouth/QC discussion has led to a lot of their shit not selling as well as it could.

Halo is, maybe arguably nowadays, their biggest line, but, thanks to things not really in Mega's control, the brand has kinda sunk. CoD is sorta dying a bit too, and likely seems a bit too generic for most people just shopping, and most casual consumers who may have played Destiny likely wanted sets 2-3 years ago now, and it's just a little too late. Turtles is weird as it's survived so long but I legit never see people buying Turtle merch, Mega or otherwise.

There's not really a license they could get that would save them/boost them back up, either, as Lego has just about everything else under the sun and the odds of them losing Star Wars or Marvel anytime soon.

The Destiny sets were slated for summer as a wide release, (they ended up making their initial rounds June/July) but in March the Cabal Interceptor and the two original Sparrow sets showed up on amazon.

I like the hummer, but it's too big. It's the same height as the tanks, so scale wise it looks ridiculous next to the other vehicles.

The sniper spot is my favorite. It has usefull terrain pieces, some maps and the sniper has the cap backwards, which is cool.

The anti aircraft is cool too. If you have a lot of desert figs and are planning a desert base, it's a must.

The large troop pack, most of those figures are in other sets. I would recommend if you're army building only.

Just to add on, I think it's because they're willing to innovate more than Lego is because Lego doesn't have to (and rightly so, they're great too). And in having to find ways to distance themselves from their knock off Lego image, they've done something really good.

Plus, they honestly seem to have fun with their own stuff. I mean all the cool box shots out in real world settings, the nice rendered scenes in the instructions, that awesome ToyFair set up, and the builds themselves just feel like someone was having fun creating them. At least imo.

Down south visiting family this weekend and my mom had picked me up some figures from a closing Kmart, the brute set and the yellow/white Spartan set. I don't really collect Halo, but you can't argue with free figures or the sentiment. The brutes cool big guys, I'm assuming they aren't good guys.

Brutes are the one new figure design where it feels like they dropped the ball.

They don't look BAD, but they are so tiny compared to what they should be.

Hey does anyone know the name of this old (possibly megablox) set? This doesn't have any identifying markers outside of the minifgure looking like an old Megablox guy.

I wish the cargo containers were bigger, but God fucking damn it am otherwise happy with these stupid things.

My mom had a bunch of 'em hidden in the closet for birthdays, and I would always take one a week. They were pretty awesome back when I was a kid.

It's a phantom toyline. Hardly any documentation, no wikipedia page, any references to the line have links to geocities. It's a toyline that hardly anyone knew existed.

I wish Mega would make a deal with Bethesda for a share of all of their licenses.

Doom, Wolfenstein, Fallout, Elder Scrolls, Dishonored, Prey, and a whole bunch of others.

Could give us some classic characters, awesome designs, AND lots of material of all kinds of eras and genres.

There is a ton of cool looking shit in Call of Duty that they've never even touched. Especially the last few games.

I'm not a big fan of the games themselves, but Black Ops 3 and Infinite Warfare both have some great looking character models that I'd love to see, as well as a ton of really cool LOOKING weapons.

Not to mention a few things from Advanced Warfare that would still be great to see.

My thoughts exactly. It's a fairly well-known fantasy license that hews close to "generic" fantasy.

How hard would it be to paint a MB figure? I almost wanna buy 2 of those Titan sets to recolor the armor.

Having a few fallout figures would be cool too but I don't see that many sets coming from Doom besides Doom guy and X on X, no vehicles or big sets you could do.

Do a line of character packs just like the Destiny line with each ass a loose "class" like archer and shit and each having two sets of armor and weapons.

You could do a sets with each monster/beast over a size doing a medium base with about as many pieces as the sparrow with two figures one normal and one large like an archer with a werewolf on a piece of a broken tomb.

Big sets like dragon dude fighting dragons.

There are a lot of enemies that would make medium-to-large sets of their own in Doom.

Nice. The Red-exo guys make wonderful Duty.
Some capes n hoods would go great with things but then you have to start cannibalizing the Assassin's Creed stuff. There really needs to be more than Brinkworks and Brik Armoury so you can get 3rd party bits. .
