They were also cheaper. Remember when you got a whole damn figure for $20-30?

What's really a shame is those wrist joints. They were so prone to breaking. I picked up a Haruhi real cheap a few years ago and never swapped her hands...they felt like they were gonna break every time I pulled on them.

How can Bandai compete?

It's weird, most of the Love Live SHFs actually look pretty solid in person. Honoka and Hanayo are a bit off-looking, but everyone else is surprisingly impressive. I kinda hope they get around to Sunshine, because I could deal with 8/10 faces rather than 9/10 faces if it means getting stage costumes and not having to pay modern Figma prices.

Don't forget figma still have problems with -painted part -> skin- paint transfers, so add a can of top coat or magic erasers to the price equation too. I mean, both new and old ones.

Sunshine had better anime costumes IMO.
I hope they make the Mijuku Dreamer costumes and figure out a way to make the Terashitai costumes look cool on plastic.

No, just No. The Shf Love Lives are terrible. Pink Honker was floppy and breaky, all the bokura versions were bricks at the torso, and all of them had meh faces.

The figma LLs can be gotten at 3-4k right now which is a pretty worthwhile price over the SHFs (well except Maki and Noz)
