on topic, I recently bought a Mega Man Nendoroid off Amazon, but I'm not sure if it's a bootleg. I've read multiple guides on the subject, but I'm still unsure.

the face plates are matte, no issues assembling, and the box doesn't reek of paint, but the stands are off (the arm for the figure won't fit in all the holes in the base, is transparent with bubbles; the smaller arm for the buster effects are also missing a section) and the leg joints are painted grey (with the GSC logo on it).

I'd take pictures but they're at home. Any input?

So how are the Touhou Nendoroids in general? I've been in a bit of a binge on Touhou and the Nendoroids look solid but I'm not sure if I should expect plasticizer to leak since some are older than others and I guess considering how long some have been sitting in Mandarake.

I have three 2hu nendos, the oldest being Remilia [2010] that I bought mint in box from a private sale on My Figure Collection last year. No problems with plasticizer leakage or anything else.

On that note, if your worried about plasticizer leaking, a way you can prevent it is to take your toy [or anything made of PVC] and put it into a freezer for 20 minutes, which will harden the plastic and plasticizer, preventing any leakage. It's good to do this every couple of months.

It's hard to tell, that depends on 2 key factors, how well the game does, and supply vs demand. If you think you'llhave the money by june, you can preorder him on ami. You can even cancel if you need too later.

For reference, MM Link binned hard, so you can get him really cheap, but toon link sold well and can be difficult to find. They could have overproduced MM Link which is why you can get him for so cheap.

I've bought around 6 in the course of 2 years

I don't really know why, but I don't get as excited when opening nendoroids as compared to opening say, a figma. So whenever I get them I usually don't open them right away. Like, out of the 6 nendos I own, I still have 4 which I have yet to open.

i'm a sucker for different colored characters on the same team (super sentai, madoka, etc) and it looks like they're gonna finish this trio in nendo form.

Stupid question - how does customs work in the US? I've got $500~ of nendos and figures in my HLJ warehouse and was thinking of shipping them to the States where I'll be for a few weeks.

Would I be better of shipping them in one big bunch or in smaller shipments like I have to do back in the UK?

So I got the Galko nendo from my local anime shop and it's legit. I think it's either missing a part or I lost one though. The little extender bit for the display pole. The instructions say it should have one but I can't find it. She can only stand up if she's off her base and it restricts her hair. I just set up my new detolf and tried out my new acrylic display. I previously had a detolf but I moved and had to leave it behind, moving is also why their is so much junk in the reflection. Plz forgive me, still unpacking.

Left pic is my first nendo, right is my PO. Galko lives on my nightstand and was worth every penny; Mai definitely will be, too (debating on whether or not I'll get Kyo at the moment, but she'll be good enough as a standalone).

On a side note, I never knew that you could sculpt cleavage on a nendo until now (ditto with Melona and Caster).

Other Galkofag here! To answer your first reply, yes. She came fully intact, instructions and pieces included.

I had the same problem when I displayed her, but after some trial and error, I found out that she stayed in place using a combination of both the pink kanji plates in front of her ponytail and hand (which are optional but I recommend using them) with the Q-piece. I found her hair sturdy enough to keep the peg in place (your mileage may vary depending on which pieces you have). You also need to make sure both legs are straightened so she can stand with said support. If push comes to shove (should you try this before ringing up GSC again), use toothpicks or lean Galko up against something sturdy for the time being.
