If you're a fan of the show or her design you won't be disappointed. She looks amazing and feels more substantial than the average figma girl due to her chunky parts. The only issue is paint rub can occur if you're not careful about colliding skin/hair with blue parts, so be careful with that or prolonged contact.

Some neat features that aren't advertised is you can remove her hat and the peg is far enough back on the head that any front/side profile shots look great. You have to basically look at her from a top down or backward angle to see the big gap. You can also remove her shoulder shaws if you pull out the pentagram piece, once again, the gap is not visible except from top down angles. So she has two "unofficial" forms that are both cute.

Here is a review to go over articulation. It's pretty much standard stuff.

Black Rock Shooter stuff was selling well at the time so why wouldn't they? It doesn't matter whether you hated the tv series or the OVA or just the idea of BRS in general.

In terms of designs I would argue the OVA was superior and the TV series was probably responsible for killing the line despite the engineering on the toys actually being a bit better than the OVA ones.

They really should have focused on releasing more original characters, rather than redoing the whole cast a second time.

I really loved (and love) BRS designs, but for some reason they went with really weird (and poor) decisions about their releases.

I have Beast and she's an interesting one since she has these sorts of extendable pieces on her boots that lends to the look with her blue crown. Even her weapons are exaggerated just like her with the huge sword with the printing and gun.

The original one came with an OVA DVD, was really cheap, and was overall a decent figure back then, but I think it aged pretty bad. The faceplates do not look nice especially compared to the next releases.

Then there is the TV version, I just bought her (finally) and waiting for it, should get it today or tomorrow, she looks a lot better overall, especially her hair and face. The cannon is also cooler. She also has a hood.

Then there is the PSP game version, I really don't dig the futuristic/machine design they went for, so I never even cared to read infos on this one. But if you liked the game you may want this one.

This is it for BRS as in her "original" design.
Insane and Beast are also considered BRS, but they're completely different, I guess you were talking about the original design.

As for the cost, the original one should be still cheap, while the other two are more expensive. TV version usually goes for 9000 yen or something.

I have Beast and IBRS. Beast is a fantastic figure, really poseable and she looks soooooo good. IBRS LOOKS fantastic but is a bitch to pose- the cannon lance is cumbersome as fuck. Be careful with the smaller stand, too, mine broke (though I did fix it).

I have to be honest I love all the BRS Figmas I have. The only ones I'm a bit "eh" on are TV BGS (I got a bit of a dud with shonky stand tolerances) and TV Strength (Any figure that needs 3 stands is going to be a pain to pose). They all look awesome though and if I had the space and money I'd buy them all.

Speaking of which, is Chariot worth it? Excluding WRS and the humans she's the only BRS character I haven't got a representation of in Figma form.

Got her this morning and l have to say l love her.
Articulation, except for the legs, is pretty limited, and the shield is too big to be kept with a decent pose, but the design is a lot better than l thought. I waited so long to buy her, I'm glad l managed to get her for 5000 yen in mint conditions.

I've been buying using SAL unregistered for seven years and never had a problem until recently, a figma order from mid october is still lost somewhere. I saved more money over the years using SAL unregistered than the price of this figma, but for all my new orders I used SAL registered just for peace of mind, something I only have done in the past with more expensive items.

I just bought the same figma again on Ebay (Mandarake has none) for almost retail price before it scalates even more. Now I'm sure the chances of the lost package showing up have increased dramatically just to spite me, but it would be better having two of the same at a decent price than waiting more and having to buy one for ridiculous scalper prices.

I know. I can't fucking wait. I always deeply resented the Other M Samus figma due to it being... Ya know... OTHER M SAMUS, but finally getting a figure based off the character BEST design from her best game is something I never thought would happen. Now I can Finally getting my favorite Nintendo character in proper 1/12 without having to display her in her worst costume and getting Other M Flashbacks Seeing her and TP Link (also my favorite version of his respective character) announced were mind blowingly amazing, and I don't think I've ever been this hyped for a figure since those two, plus the Zelda.

Sinon had something similar and it was soft enough to not totally ruin articulation on the legs but it did limit a tiny bit. It wasn't detachable and was firmly glued in place or at least felt glued to me. I sure wasn't comfortable yanking at it to find out.

The hip joints are disgusting. The only saving grace here would be that the paint job is so bright and seamless that the joint openings aren't really that shady or obvious. I mean I think paint in general will do a lot of hiding of the joints, but it's still pretty bad.
