What's the best figure avaliable for the major?
>>6149309
the figma with pants
the figma without pants
Scarlet Johansson
>>6149309
I didn't know she collected toys.
>>6151198
sorry wrong pic
>>6151243
looks better than what we're getting in reality
This.
Though I wish she had the jacket sleeves rolled up and no pants like in the first season of S.A.C
>>6149309
Are you much of a pervert?
>>6151887
AFAIK this figure was one of the earliest pioneers of good ass tech.
>>6151887
Which one is that?
>>6152077
yamato's
>>6151899
it is still very good ass tech. comparable to even today's ass technology
I'd fucking kill for a figma of either her leather jacket look or full combat gear from the end of the 95 movie. They have the least tiddies though, so they're never happening. Ditto for anything batou.
>>6152872
I actually bought a bootleg archetype to mess around with stuff like that, and it doesn't really work. The major's limbs are too long, so she ends up looking stumpy when you put the archetype legs on her.
>>6149309
Now that there's a big Hollywood movie coming out maybe we'll finally get a figures depicting the rest of Sec------
>mfw Ishikawa and Boma are now black and Togusa is Chinese and Scarlet and Takeshi are the only ones who look like their fictional counterparts
>>6161025
>Scarlet and Takeshi are the only ones who look like their fictional counterparts
>Scarlet looking like the major
Major is 5'6" strong looking and fit, even ripped, and looks European.
Scarlet is a 5'3" pudgy jew.
>>6161086
This.
Now make it x 1000.
Now I'm glad Cameron's Alita project is probably dead for good.
>>6161086
>Scarlet is a 5'3" pudgy jew.
Is she really that short? I kind of want to bully her now.
>>6161086
meh
part of the point of the major's character is that she could look like anything she wanted. My real problem with the casting is that Scarjo is a terrible actress.
>>6161086
>and looks European
She uses a somewhat common body in Japan.
Stands to reason she'd look Japanese.
>>6166601
Doesn't look Japanese to me.
>>6166620
>using a slav, a Eurasian mutt race, to say anime characters are white
>using anti-Japanese chinese propaganda to say anime characters don't look Japanese
>>6166620
Huh, mongoloid Yui looks kinda cute that way too.
Best Major Kusanagi Fig?
Obviously this one
>>6167803
straightened the pic out...
>>6167803
>those useless articulation points
did Mcfarlane make this?
>>6168063
yeah, it was part of his anime line
>>6168098
Like a lot of McFarlane sculpts, it's only meant to look good in one pose: this one.
No one has announced movie figures yet or at least having the license?
>>6166620
hi subjectanon
>>6168684
Unless you count this piece of statueshit, no.
>>6168700
Fuck no. I just want some 6-7" articulated figures. I'm hoping for SHFiguarts, maybe NECA, or anyone but Mattel to anounce something at Toyfair.
I have the Gutto Kuru figure and I'm pretty happy with it. It has decent articulation, although the hands like to fall off all the time. It's overprices at ~$100, but it goes on sale on Amazon for ~$50 over the holidays.I really don't like the way the Figma's jacket look in pics and never picked it up.
Bauto figma fucking when?
>>6169152
That design has a better chance of becoming a figma.
>>6166601
>implying Japanese women wouldn't choose as European-looking a face as possible
>>6168700
But her face... the suit. its all so fucked up and wrong!
>>6168700
god that face
Literally what's wrong with the movie black suit figma? It literally look better than literally any other figure on the literal market
>>6172242
I'm simply not interested in the design. Its a lot of black with Motoko's head on top.
>>6168772
How tall are these?
>>6172934
1/8 IIRC
>>6171258
Generally they don't. Japanese have a different kind of taste that's more focused on cute. Even the westaboos of Asia, Koreans, look down on white people A LOT. They like certain things but I've heard some pretty nasty things coming out of their mouths.
>>6180329
curious to hear more about this.
>>6180329
Are you talking about culture or appearance? Because one of the most popular cosmetic surgeries among Japanese and South Koreans is eyelid surgery to reduce "Asian eyes"
>>6172392
>Its a Gantz body suit with a generic anime girl head on top.
fixed that for you.
>>6180400
>>6180444
I'm not sure I can explain more, they only like specific aspects of westerners.
Like for example, Koreans tend not to like wide or square jaws, they get chin shaves to get narrower, rounded jaws and pointes chins. They don't like heavy brows or large noses, but they like dark, distinct eyebrows and straight and slender noses. You can see it in the kpop and drama stars they manufacture, it's very young and noble and girly, emphasis on girly as in girl as opposed to woman. They're very distinct from Western fashion models and pop stars who tend to have more androgynous faces and styles and mature bodies. And the double eyelid surgery is indeed popular, since it has a double effect of making the eyes look slightly bigger.
Again, the best way I can put it is they like certain parts, like it's a buffet where they pick and choose.
>>6181314
Not sure why my phone autocorrected nubile to noble.
>>6181314
Maybe. But I've never met a Japanese (in Japan) that didn't wish they were born white. I also can't tell you how many times I've heard people tell me they wish they had a "tall" nose like me and express disappointment that Japanese people all have "flat" faces.
So I'm pretty sure that if those people were cyborgs they would chose a western looking face if they wanted a different look.
