So which xenomorph - any scale - has the best neck articulation to pull off the best crawling pose?

Pretty sure NECA is McFarlane-tier in terms of articulation so I'm not sure

That's a bit of an exaggeration, but they're certain'y no shinkis. The Hiya ones aren't bad, but they're 1/18 so they don't have quite as many points of articulation, and even then their necks don't go back that far.
The SH Figuarts is damn near erotic

I've wanted to pic one of these up for ages but the price completely turns me off.
Not sure if it's the same everywhere, but here in the UK they're the same price (sometimes more than) Neca aliens, which doesn't make any sense to me. They're half the size with less paint apps and nowhere near as detailed sculpts.

They're definitely a bit pricy, but the scale is a draw to some people, not a turn off, since it lets them make entire fucking APCs when Neca explicity said they'd be too big and pricy for them at 1/12.

Neca's are closer to 1/10 scale, so I can see what they mean about vehicles being unrealistic.
I really like the look of the Hiya toys stuff but I can't justify spending that much on such small/basic figures.
I wish Hot Toys snap kits were still a thing. These were the shit back in the day. I remember getting mine from Forbidden Planet and the packaging being mostly in Japanese.
Revoltech Alien Warrior (the 2nd one) was pretty good. The back spine projection thing was on a joint so it moved out of the way of the head.

The NECA xenomorph actually has some of the best articulation I've seen from NECA and is on par with the monsterarts in a lot of ways. But if I recall correctly, it couldn't lift its head as far up as the monsterarts, I'd check, but I ended up selling it since I didn't care as much for the larger scale.
just bumpin

Wild Boar's my favorite and afraid if they do it at all it'll get half-assed because it had so many unique parts.
Probably SH monster arts

i've got the hiyas but i was really disappointed in the articulation.

I own necas, monster arts, and revoltech. Revoltech is sturdy but don't have a very dynamic range of poses due to scale/ sculpt. Neca are pretty big in terms of scale and are made of a fairly durable plastic but are slightly handicapped for crawl posing. The dog alien and avp variants are your best bet. The big chap mold is particularly fragile and prone to break ( I've gone through three).
Monster arts have nice scale and a plethora of joints but the price can be off putting. Avp variant crawls pretty good. It's worth noting that the neca avp has a fully flexible wire-tail while the monster arts is fully balljointed.
In terms of what you're looking for op : monster arts > Neca >>>> revoltech.
