All these new Spider-man and new molds are gonna make me split this shelf up into a Spider-verse and a Spider-man Rogues shelf. I'm missing the latest two Spider-man waves along with the New Sinister six and stuff like that. Looking at those bootleg Spider-Hulks too Ive seen on ebay, anyone own one?

Just realized, I forgot to fit the new Hobgoblin BAF up in that clusterfuck somewhere too. Well, fuck.

What is the man spider in the back? Custom?

The huge one? I have no idea, I got it this Christmas as a gift. It's huge but has like 15 points of articulation and reminds me of those old school toybiz figures.

Toybiz did a jumbo line of their six inch figures. The base body is from Beast, if it isn't a custom, it'd be from the 90s Spider Man line, specifically the 12 inch ones. Or maybe a Toybiz Halloween or monster themed subline.

Hey Anthony.

Just replace Shocker with Overdrive.

And I don't really care for Silver Sable, and would probably replace her with someone like Scream. (I would love a Scorn, but I doubt that's ever gonna happen)

And I don't care about Kingpin, but I see why others would.

I would, but he's already in my second list.
And really, I'm not too into Silver Sable myself but I was trying to be semi-realistic with my picks so I went with her. Most Spider-Man waves tend to have two women and one symbiote so that's the format I was going with.

>>

I've actually argued for the wrong price with a walmart manager before. There was an entire endcap full of the walmart exclusive MP skywarp for 30. They honored the price after much hassle, but that was years ago. I don't even think Walmart price matches competitors anymore.
>>
>>6137041
At least at the Canadian walmart I work at we do.

And at least when I was in training, we're told that if a customer is really being a hassle, and arguing for the wrong price, just give it to them for the lower price, unless it's something ridiculous.
>>
>>6136979
If you asked to speak to the manager they would have bent over backwards for you.

The manager may have given you a hard time at first but if you say you're just gonna leave if you can't get it for the price the shelves say they are then he'll make the sale.
>>
>>6136927
Yeah I mean Morris is kind of an arrogant dick

Tossing in my "wants".

I want these in the 3.75" scale, though. Not the 6" scale. So I replaced "Build a Figure" with "SDCC Set"

Using the "Jim Lee Cyclops" buck.

>Updated 90's-style Scarlet Spider
>Deadpool in red
>Nick Fury Jr. (Come on Hasbro this is literally a repaint of one of your existing figures with a headswap from another)
>90's Iron Man (With a "War Machine" chase variant repaint!)

Using the "X-23" buck.

>Anya Corazon Spider-Girl
>90's Storm

The SDCC set could be made using any bucks. Smooth out the Ulik/Thing/Whatever buck for Charlie-27, the same buck as the Vance Astro and Yondu releases as Martinex, and the older "Lanky" buck with the newer rocker-ankle legs for Starhawk.

They have what they need to make the penultimate articulated hero at that size.

The "Jim Lee Cyclops" legs, codpiece, torso bits, She-Hulk arms for double-jointed elbows, and they can re-use the head. The only retooling required would be to make the hoodie slightly larger. And finally, Doctor Strange hands for thwips.

It makes perfect sense to do so, so Hasbro won't do it.

Sure it's POSSIBLE, but most companies seem to have moved away from vac-metalization. Given how Hasbro is currently doing things, I'd say it's a pretty good bet that Silver Surfer would be cast in that swirly light silver plastic they used on this Ultron.

Maybe possible, but it's more likely they'd use the same silver paint they used for Havok's hands and stripes, which picks up light really well but doesn't reflect its surroundings.

Also, this shit is getting out of hand thanks to cheap Legends on Walmart.com and discounts at Walgreens and Ross. I find myself wanting to get more flight stands for Iron Man, Jeeeeean, Namor and MCU Spidey, as well as two more Kitty Prydes for headswapping.

Found half the strange wave, machine man, and hawkeye on clearance at Target for 7 bucks, Iron man two pack for eleven, iron skull and nuke on amazon for 6 each, and got most of the space venom wave for ten bucks on walmart's website. Havok here was going to go right into my $5 BST bunch, but now I might keep him for a little while longer.

>>
>>6140309
The whole "amazon has legends for 8 bucks" did a number on me. I built a couple BAFs because it was literally cheaper than getting just the pieces on ebay or whatever, but now I've got a bunch of junk-ass figures that immediately got tossed in the rubbermaid box.

>as well as two more Kitty Prydes for headswapping.
I'm very close to getting an extra one of those and paying someone to paint up a magik recast head for it. Fuck knows I missed the boat on the sdcc one.

The chrome is nice, but a Silver Surfer kit would be terrible idea primarily because these kits work best on figures that have clearly delineated planes and surfaces. It's also impractical to do complex (if you can call Habro joints that) joints with vac-metal, since it works best on cut joints that have clearly defined boundaries and less chance of the surfaces rubbing each other, just like it's a bad idea when they paint joints.

I saw a review on it recently. Everything is pretty much the same and does not come with a weird toxic smell. Only difference the reviewer noted is that she has slightly more hair in the front than the real one. It doesn't look awkward though.

I know. I actually just found it on eBay, so I could just lob Paypal funds at it. But I'd really much rather have Storm and Stryfe. If Hasbro could re-issue that entire wave, I'd gladly buy a case.
>>
>>6142019
It's one of those rare cases where they can pretty much get away with whatever they want just due to the insane scarcity of the real deal. 40 bucks is high for a bootleg, but isn't really bad compared to 150+ or whatever the baf is going for nowadays.

I'm sorta just glad it finally happened at all, it was pretty much THE perfect figure to get knocked off, and it took them two years to get around to it. I already got a custom done so I'm set, but I'm happy people actually have an option for her now.

Dude does nothing but bitch about how much he makes in a year, price gouges on shit, makes fun of customers as soon as they walk out the door/he hangs up the phone when they call in, and he scalps something fierce. There's a Target right next to the store so anytime something like this comes out, he or one of his henchmen get in early when the shipments arrive and buy them so he can put them on his own pegs at 3x the price.

One of the most satisfying days I've had in recent memory was rolling into that Target and finding Deadpool before he could get to it. Would have probably been worth the ban from his store to walk over there with it and rub it in his face

How about regular old squirrel girl before the inflation fan art

In fairness we have the Abomination mold meaning only have to retool the torso and make a new head.

What was the last Legends figure to have a tail?

Rocket Raccoon I guess, but he's not exactly your average mold

I'd be fine with it, I don't hate that outfit, just the art style. And since Marvel Legends don't go out of their way to replicate art styles, a figure would be fine.

Just under $14 a piece, and at least three keepers (if you include the BAF). Not great since you gotta offload the chaff, but not bad.

I just found this "hollar.com" site that has the entire Hulkbuster wave for $10 each, if anyone is interested.

Avalanche. That would be a good wave, even though Apoc already had a BAF and a regular figure.

I'll probably have a gift card or something to use on him, but I have no idea why he doesn't come with anything, not even alternate hands.
Deadpool lacked any BaF part, but he made up for it with a bunch of accessories, no idea what happened here.

>fingerless gloves

what's a secret identity?

Though I suppose if everyone is too dumbass to check Superman's fingerprints when he wears no gloves, it probably isn't a big deal for superheroes to get their prints on everything.
>>
>>6149019
Black Panther was an entirely new mold, as was MK46 Iron Man, and both came with parts of Giant Man.
>>
>>6149146
Looks weird, and doesn't seem to be a Legend, though I'm a sucker for homemade type outfits.
>>
>>6149165
He's a kid. A nerdy kid too, not a troublemaker. The police have no reason to have his prints on file.

Same with Clark. He's never been arrested in his civilian identity as far as I know. Aside from that though, I've read various theories on him and fingerprints, many boiling down to "he's an alien, who's to say he works anything like a human." Clark might not even have fingerprints, or his skin might not produce oils like ours, etc.
>>
>>6149329
>police

what about the villains? They'd at least check stuff like that on a chance of an ID.

Plus these heroes are vigilantes, at minimum they'd get their prints on file at the scene, and if they ever do get in trouble later, well secret's out.

I think the only time I ever saw this handled was in The Mash cartoon series, Mask has independent fingerprints from Stanley's own.

Yeah yeah movie implied they were the same but Stanley worked at the bank and Kellaway was a terrible cop.

>Clark might not even have fingerprints

That might be a problem if he's trying to blend in, no? Fingerprints aren't just taken for arrests, pawn shops often have you leave a thumb print when you sell/pawn stuff, there may be other reasons too. Some guy leaving a blank print is gonna raise serious red flags.
>>
>>6149351
>what about the villains?
Same argument, how would the villains have their civvy fingerprints to match to? Even if a villain had a contact in the police force, like I mentioned, I don't think (MCU) Peter or Clark have ever been arrested and fingerprinted. Fingerprints, frankly, aren't very useful unless the person has a criminal record or you're trying to match fingerprints at two crime scenes.

>pawn shop
Fucking lol, I don't imagine Clark is the type to be pawning his shit. In fact, if he knew he had no prints, he'd likely do his research and actively avoid activities that required fingerprinting.

Most of your arguments here are pretty wild "what ifs," I think under normal circumstances both Spidey and Clark will be fine.
>>
>>6149329
With Clark it's so easy, though.

>Whenever someone is taking his fingerprint, he just vibrates his finger subtly so that it shows up different.

I just made that shit up but it fits.

I prefer the idea that everyone at The Daily Planet knows who Clark is, they just pretend to fall for it because they know even motherfucking SUPERMAN needs to relax and chill for a while like everyone else.

Except for Lex Luthor, who finds it to be a joke and believes Superman would never lower himself to such a level.

I think that actually happened in one of the old comics. Lex fed a bunch of info into a computer and it told him Clark Kent was Supes, but he refused to believe it.

2099 is pretty boss, he's one of the few times a figure has sold me on a costume I didn't originally like. And I hear a lot of people say they prefer the old toybiz goblin for the headsculpt, but I really like the new one.
>>

>And I hear a lot of people say they prefer the old toybiz goblin for the headsculpt, but I really like the new one.

I can agree with that. Toy Biz's sculpts were pretty on point. But I also think the new ones good too. I've never had a GG fig. Maybe I'll pick him up.

I just wish they'd do a new Doc Ock. But knowing hasbro, he'd be a BAF.
>>
>>6149642
Him and mysterio are basically all I'm really waiting for now.
>>
>>6149146

I guess this means we wouldn't get this costume in 6" scale eh? I kind of like having the "pre costume" Spideys. I wish the Toybiz one's rubber lasted better over time...
>>
>>6148968
They couldn't just paint some plain fists a flesh tone?

I don't get it. The last Wolverine had all new parts and tooling and it came with plain fists and a BAF part.
>>
>>6149631
The Toy Biz one is a perfect 60's Goblin and the new Hasbro is a perfect modern version.
>>
>>6149861
I'm just hoping he uses one of their standard peg sizes, I've got a shitton of fleshtone fists at this point. It's still bullshit, but it'd be better than no comparability options at all like the falcons.
>>
>>6149821
It is 6 inch, apparently.

Lex is upset because the machine fails to take into account that someone with all the power of superman would never stoop so low as to be a "mere human", and ignores the reading.

>>6149449
>prefer the idea that everyone at The Daily Planet knows who Clark is, they just pretend to fall for it because they know even motherfucking SUPERMAN needs to relax and chill for a while like everyone else.
In All Star Superman, there's a scene where someone basically wonders why they all pretend to have no idea what's happening when Clark Kent makes a shit excuse to leave the room. Essentially, they figure if Superman wanted to out himself, he would, and otherwise they'll just leave it alone and let him do his thing.
