Yup, she's wearing a mix of Angelic Pretty X Pullip (Groove I think?) collab outfits. Dress and bow are the black Sugary Carnival outfit set; petticoat, blouse and collar bow are from the Sucre Byul doll (she wears purple Sugary Carnival); socks/wristcuffs are from the Decoration Dream Sax outfit set.

I think Draculara's outfit fits better because it was designed after the purple version worn by Byul, who's a bit shorter than Pullip. The dress on Robecca is made for Pullip, so it's longer and looser on her. I'm going to have to do some creative tucks here and there to make it fit properly.

Pullip shoes are are a bit too small for MH, but I'm okay with that because the MH shoes are much more creative.

Bratz, Equestria Girls, Hasbro Disney Princesses. Bratz and EG bodies are shorter tho, so pic related. Hasbro outfits look okay for EAH but may be too big for MH since they are more feminine. Some of EG and Hasbro shoes can fit too.

I feel like Skipper/Chelsea/Stacie outfits may also look fine, but I've never seen a comparison.

The Resurrection of Monstress toys were kind of shit though, despite coming with awesome accessories and being sculpted by the godlike Nirasawa. They were basically preposed statues, sometimes with a swivel or two. You just couldn't do anything fun with them other than plunk them on your shelf, it was like a McStatue. Saw from an amazon review that the new archery line for EAH has no articulation for the legs, the wrist are gone as well - so product pics do not reflect the doll. All reboot Venus dolls released so far (Electrified, Party Ghouls, Casketball) are defective.
The pegs for her joints (including the legs) are too thick and don’t fit properly. But instead of fixing it, Mattel is trying to sweep it under the rug as intentional, and have omitted the detachable parts diagram from the back of the box.

They’re hoping no one will notice, even though the gaps in Venus’ limbs are obvious when you put her next to other dolls.

Seems Mattel is trying damn hard to find something that will keep it afloat - which sounds like they are still suffering due to the Disney thing.

If only Mattel would do one solid year - two or three solid MH lines. Shame but it has failed for two reasons, one of them being unavoidable.

1. Mattel fucked up.What made MH great was that the dolls were articulated, the outfits were nice and varied, lots of accessories and bonus goodies in the box, each doll had a unique head and most items were unique to a doll. They were usually a good price too. But then they got lazy, articulation disappeared, outfits became cheap print dresses, accessories and shoes became reused and recolored, stands disappeared, pets, hand bags, ear rings and diaries disappeared, quality dropped and prices went up. No one is interested in over priced shit. Current dolls are not good and certainly not worth the price they are asking. I could go on.

2. Consumer tastes and attitudes change. Monster High was invented in 2008, the hight of the 'emo/scene' trend for kids and teens, it was cool to be different and horror stuff was in. The dolls finally launched in 2010 at the end of this trend but still took off well, they were new and exciting and were in trend. However being 'emo/scene' is no longer in fashion. Monster High is 7 years old, it's done everything it can, it can't do anything new or exciting any more, and people are bored and want something new.

The people that made MH a success are not kids any more and they've grown up and moved on, kids today do not want monster dolls, especially not the ones Mattel are currently shitting out.

Party Ghouls and the sports one feels like pieces that they had passed on with G1, or atleast planned for budget. But it feels like even the budget dolls for G1 were so much better. I also feel that MH burnt itself out - without planning for the future. They needed to do a lot more and expand - like a winter line, a longer fairy tale line, a halloween one where they dress as classic monsters/historic creatures line, a space line, a science line or stone one where they get screwed up due to spells or potions but without a messy switch character thing like fusion. Pretty sure that's intentional, especially with Snow White and the Evil Queen, they are supposed to be, in a way, "celebrities" of their world

Cheshire isnt near as bad and neither is the Queen of Hearts who has a rounded heart shaped face.
