Thread Challenge: Post some RADICAL MOCs
first for johnny thunder
>>6125557
For the anon who wanted to see this, I don't have the hexagon frame, but here's what it looks like with a dish inside.
>Post some RADICAL MOCs
I would, if my fucking Bricklink orders ever arrived. Colorado to California shouldn't take a week, and yet here we are.
>2016
>lego oficially creates satanic characters
It still blows my mind and its so much fun.
We always tend to say "well...things noawadays are not the way they used to be" or "Man...nowadays they would never get away with this!".
But nope.
Lego makes a satanic red demons, succubus and a demon with some sort of leather harness.
I so want to build an edgy 80s - Heavy Metal band made with nexo knight devils.
Need more heavy metal-based details, though.
That new Batman-metal minifigure will come handy for this idea.
>>6126423
Oh wait, you said TOP
Here it is on the other side.
>>6126414
>Thread Challenge: Post some RADICAL MOCs
Radical by 80-90s culture standarts?
Damn too bad i never had paradisa/enough city sets.
Oh wait...waaaait. I think i can do one later.
7th & 8th for shitty Speed Racer-wannabe cars.

Can you make it purple?
>>6126436
I'll have to check, but I don't think that nose piece (#93348) comes in purple.
My Queen Azshara - Hail the queen of the Naga's.
Anyone able to post other custom warcraft characters?
>>6126441

Nope, no purple for that nose piece. I think you can get the door pieces and most of the black parts (Save the chassis) in Purple though...?

Ok, thanks Anon, I guess the Double O will have to wait.

Huh, interesting. Everyone seems to love Corner Deli, though; did it hurt the build or experience at all?
I made some wojz
>>6126496
I have few of these "cartoony duplo eyes" blocks. 2x2 and 1.
Back in the 90s in Russia we had mini sets in a Milkiway Chest - it was a "poor kids Lego" because it allowed poor kids to have some klocki while rich kids had stuff like Knights Castle or Technic Trucks for christmas.
I still have most of those. Might use them too for fun.

what's wrong with their hands? Why are they so curved and not normal?
>>6126504
They're really great parts

Pretty sure that they're either from the generic players from the NBA line or the god-awful Jack Stone mini-figs.

Basketball hands!

I'm fairly certain that the jack stone minifigs couldn't be pulled apart
at least not in a way that allowed for re-assembly
That reminds me though
youtube.com/watch?v=gR004a8TCMo
>jack stone saw this obscure thing sometimes not even visible to the viewer and that gave him the idea to save everyone
was this meant to be tongue in cheek on purpose or did they just care that little?
>>6126548

i told her not to open it but she did anyway because she wanted to make sure they guy didnt replace parts or something, all because I told her about how some people will buy lego sets, open them and take out/replace parts and return them
>>6126568
So she was just making sure you didn't get swindled, dude, why are you complainig?
>>6126602

Dont know how rad it tis - i just noticed i dont really have colors that fit to that culture.
But

3) space/cool stuff - check
hope it works

It's like you don't know what happened to a "No Klocki Clown".

Must have.
>>6126709
>You mean "baby Groot" sounds cuter so people will say "awwwww i just NEED to have this!" and buy it because its cute?
yes, there are people who genuinely think like this
especially when you consider the types of people who consume marvel movies
it's not lego in charge of this, it's marvel themselves calling him Baby Groot™ in all promotional material for the movie
>>6126496
Nice Wojz, but make at least oen simple Wojtuś as well!

They're clearly Lava monsters.
Quit projecting.
>>6126901
>They're clearly Lava monsters.
I see you dont really know that much about demons.
>>6126901
They are summoned from the Book of Monsters which is pretty much the Necronomicon
>>6126906
>hey are summoned from the Book of Monsters which is pretty much the Necronomicon
not to mention demon is such a random thing. It can be literally anything.
BUT - red skinned/lava/fire/yellow eyed/bat winged vision is the most generic and popular one.
Its literally Diablo/Satanic interpritation made into Lego.
>>6126910
I view them as part of my Burning Legion Army
>>6126429
I appreciate the effort, but I explicitly meant the new Nexo wheels with the stalagtites. Pic related. I expected them to be the same as the ones you pictured but the interior looks different enough that I'm skeptical as to whether or not the new wheels have a larger diameter at the base.
>>6126910
they're just red orcs
>>6126910
Can new ninjago snake/tentacle monsters be viewed as demons? They are currently the most scary Lego monsters in my opinion.
>>6126948
I'm adding them as part of a future Naga hybrid army for Queen Azshara
In how many different colours do you own a lego jewel like the one on the end of his staff?
Also, does anyone know how old the mold is? It occurs to me that the piece originates from the nineties, but I could be wrong.
>>6127064
I have neon green and red ones
>>6126445

>>6127072
Worth asking, a few months ago there used to be some good customs never know I guess.
>found Batman CMFs, and got two
>got Joker and Batgirl, as well as ultrabuild Stormtrooper that was 16€
For just two mostly randomly picked ones, I think I did pretty good. Wanted Harley the most, but I still have time.
What I am not happy about is the price. 3.95€ is ridiculous.
>>6127064

Lego boxes aren't even transparent. It would just be a bunch of pieces sitting in darkness.
>>6127086
Yes, and Ninja, and Scala.
>>6126680
It's just like the "chibi" bullshit or scrappy-doo. I've never liked it or even understood it. But if I where in advertising i'd ride it to the bank.
But I also see mighty-micros and microfighters as analogues. I hated them when they came out, still do, but if I was in charge I would have given them the green light. People love cute.
>>6126613
And thats why you have a gf
>>6126568
So she cares about your satisfaction this much anon.
Also, just when I got back into lego I found a girl who is a BIG lego fan, her apartment has minifigures all over it and it's great. Apprecaite the fact that you have such a common hobby senpai.
I've just checked inside the Axl torso with a flashlight, and it has regular holes in the place of regular arms. Did anyone try to perform heresy to see how it looks by removing the huge bulk by its top?

All of 'em but trans bright green.
As a kid the rarer ones were more powerful or something. I only had one purple one (from a harry potter set) so that was like the best. I now mainly use them just as jewels or elemental crystals for my wizards.
>>6127373
"Klocki" is how you say "Lego bricks" in one of the former Soviet satellite states. Anon posted some regional catalogs that had the word prominently featured, and it took off from there.
Generally it's portrayed in a black-and-white noir motif with the theme of "not enough klocki" (not enough of the specific Lego pieces I need to build this MOC)
The empire is cool
Post empire stuff
I need inspiration
>>6126414
>just watched Jang's video on Phantom II
>40 pound price
That can't be right, can it?
>>6127394
that converts to 47.72 USD and 63.89 CAD. Take out the 5% increase europe has and that'll still be like 45 and 60 dollars
>>6127400
Star Wars lego is super expensive, it's why I avoid it like the plague and only buy on sale.
When does the rest of the Lava wave of Nexo go on sale? Does the Fortrex just carry over through the series lifetime?
>>6127392
it's spelled kinda like Klotz-kee , also it's Polish.
>>6127401
It seems much worse than normal though imo. Did they recently inflate the prices? The last set I got was the Carbonite set maybe a few months back for ~$25, 230 pieces. This set is 269 pieces for $50? What's their excuse?
>>6127400
Yeah, the set has no reason to cost any more than 30 USD
Also, there are a ton of stickers. I dunno about you guys but I fucking hate stickers.
>>6127400
The A-wing will likely be overpriced too, 358 pieces and I'm assuming it'll be priced at 50 USD (65 CAD, including canadabucks since thats where I am), when last years eclipse fighter and imperial hovertank had more pieces and were 30 USD (40CAD)

Question: How would you go about un-super gluing a head piece from hair piece
>>6127404
>Does the Fortrex just carry over through the series lifetime
I doubt. I've seen it on discount on at least three different stores this week alone.
But there's supposed to be Knighton castle coming this summer so take it as you will.
>>6127565
No easy way without using a Dremel or similar. Kragle works by melting the surface of the plastic.
>>6127565
If the head has the vented hole on the top, you could try and put solvent up there and hope it gets to the glue. Do you want the head or the hair more?
Just curious, but does anyone else "customize" minifigs or repurpose existing minifigs(like from ninjago or nexo) to do oc heroes and villains?
Idk if I'm just the special breed of autist, but I often find myself swapping parts and making up my own people and creating some type of storyline/background details to accompany them.
I currently have 3 different teams of heroes, as well as a few lone drifter types. These guys aren't necessarily a team, just various heroes I've thrown together over time.
would my local lego store still stock older polybags? i'm looking for the joker's bumper car
>>6127578
I love that Iron Sheik with armor.
Also HF minifig-parts are criminally underused.
>>6127578
Here's a couple of my main bad guys(not pictured here is Antimatter).
I've even made myself some c and b list villains who would pretty much be the equivalent of Marvel guys like Whirlwind, Stilt Man, Grim Reaper etc. Just kinda there to get their asses beat.
Ultra Agents was really useful for bulking up my Hero and Villain armies though. I just kept most of them as is. Fuck I miss that theme..

>>6127578

But You're not alone. I do the same thing. Though i mostly stick to official characters Lego just hasn't made yet I like to use Lego minifig parts as an easy way to create new characters
>>6127583
Thanks m8. That guy was actually my take on Charles Bronson(the inmate) as a superhero.

>>6127587

>>6127595
I bought every set. Last I checked a few weeks ago my local WalMart still has the first tank, discounted and the box is slightly banged up. I can check back for it if you still need it anon.
>>6127596
Thanks dog, the cyborg fella is pretty much my take on a modern Captain Ahab, except a cyborg assassin. The Mech was really inspired by the Marvel villain Holocaust(or Nemesis cause Holocaust wasn't a pc name to have).
>>6127600
Feels good knowing I'm not alone.
>>6127578
And here I thought I was being original by using that head and body together
>>6127578

>I've lurked a while but I just gotta ask, what the fuck is this meme
Its basically a meme that you can use to show the lack of KLOCKI (lego) in your life.
If you dont have enough money or your town dont sell that much of variety of Lego, Klocki Meme can be quite useful.
Just sit down and say
>mfw not enough Klocki Lego...
>why live...
I personally express my feelings of sadness using sad clown minifigure.
But honestly any minifigure with a sad face would work.
However black and white theme of colors is canon.
Im the original Klocki guy. Ask me anything.
>>6127879
That's probably not a Renee Montoya fig, but I would really like it to be.
>>6127433
Red and black penguin?
Or just a fantasy bird and You can imagine the mouth it's actually a nose of sort.
>>6127889
>Im the original Klocki guy. Ask me anything.
Do you have klocki now?
>>6127064
I think Ingot every color except transparent and black transparent.
Loved those things as a kid.
Trying to make some Blacktron III stuff.
At the moment I'm thinking the colour scheme will be pure black (like Blacktron I) but with neon green canopies (like Blacktron II). Would trans red details work, or should I just stick to black and neon green?
>>6126507
The bottom left thing is more or less how I imagine a LEGO replica of the beast from the last book of the Bible would look like.
>>6127632
>but then people would do what firemen did in Discworld.
As long as there's no rat plague and the people get paid for rat tails... ;)
>>6127064
I have red, green, neon green, dark blue, light blue, yellow and clear.
If I had a purple and an orange one too, I would make an Infinity Gauntlet. Does anyone know about sets where I can find those?
>>6127895
>Do you have klocki now?
Sadly...not enough klocki.
Still live in a small town - yesterday i literally walking all over it in search of lego.
ALL i found was couple of these Nexo Knights sets.
Every toy store i was entering (and that's 3 of them) had no oficial lego - only shitty chinese knockoffs.
In the last toy store i enterd and asked
- Do you have lego?
A girl answered:
- Yes!
but then
- Y-you mean LEGO-LEGO? Or...alternative lego?
PS:
However im getting a mail package filled with klocki soon - ordered them from Ebay.
Also gonna visit our capital city and hopefully get some of those tasty neat Batman Movie sets!
>>6127917
Złote tarasy has Detective's office. and series 15 minifigs cheap.
>>6127682
i like it
I'm going to copy this and make it orange and black with a fuel canister like in District 9
>>6127889
>Im the original Klocki guy. Ask me anything.
What would you build if you had enough klocki?
>>6127929
>What would you build if you had enough klocki?
Ohh...dont even start me on this!
1) A giant mechanical Dieselpunk T-rex
2) third Modular building but with more inside space
3) Full pack of MadMax inspired vehicles (now i built only few little ones)
MRW my wife calls me a faggot for buying another Friends set.
Puppy Parade car related.
>>6127578
Eh, I usually like TLG figs so I don't change much, and I usually prefer to create already existing characters/historical people. But I do have some OCs.
Here,s some monsters.
But everyone in my LEGO world has a backstory, I'm autistic in that regard.
>>6127935

>>6128012
Nice, I like the recoloured classic ship. I assume they stole that and decided to give it a blacktron touch?
>>6127988
Ogel is the main leader in the middle, On the right is a black classic space guy who has a stickered torso (when he coat turned and became part of blacktron)
On the right is Rench who is actually a spy and also secretly part of my Black Matter gang (a group composed of Black hole gang and Antimatters goons) Blacktron know this as they see him drinking with the rest of the gang in my arcade but they seem to ignore it as he does his work well enough!
>>6127883

>>6128017
Cool army! I always like hearing about people's different interpretations of Blacktron.
For me Blacktron I were basically space anarchists who were mainly into hacking, Blacktron II are more organised and trying to actually build an empire of sort.
>>6128016
Yeah they stole a lot over the years
>>6128023
Its actually a bit bigger thats just a pic of the non mook characters, theres a ton of smiley pilots too!
>>6127989
Sorry I tried to get to your question too, Yeah I have basic jists of each character with their names and such!
Chuck Stonebreaker is a veteren and a ladies man, He has a repeating plasma caster , His Viridian Swoop jet is the fastest of the fleet and acts as a bomber with its heavy plasma caster underneath!
His ship would be better as a interceptor but Chuck likes to bomb shit

Also taking up the family trade like Ashley but his father is retired and safe at home!
Jack is a cocky bastard but he has firepower to save his ass!

Last one, Three in one!
Black- Ray Darkmatter. Russian,Not much is known apart from that he Drinks but has control of it! His family are [REDACTED] He joined the team when he was found almost dead in a CMF13 Packet!

White-Warp Blaze
Solomons son, In a relationship with Ashley despite his father disapproval of him for her!

Pontiac was the only GM marquee that was actively trying to NOT be shitty and was on the verge of finally making all their models rear-wheel-drive and performance oriented again when they got canned.
But instead Buick got to live because the Chinese fucking love Buick.
>>6128145
Car makers in America literally can't be performance oriented. All these retarded regulations force them to have a super energy efficient fleet. That's why Dodge has to make to 10 shitty sedans for every Challenger they make. It's not worth it for most companies to make fast cars anymore.
>>6128158
Thanks anon. I didnt bother with one for Ashley as everyone else puts together her story!
Ive also got her father ready to get resurrected and also a Yellow galaxy squad suit in development!
>>6128169
It was literally a buzz lightyear homage, Warp darkmatter was a villain, I gave the warp name to Solomons kid and then went with something lightbased for the russian!
>>6128157
>Car makers in America literally can't be performance oriented.
The shitbox cars fund the performance cars. That's how it's always worked- you don't get the Vipers without the Neons and PT Cruisers to give it funding.
Pontiac had already brought over Aussie muscle cars and European sports cars under their own badge (i.e. the Pontiac G8, a rebadged Holden, which Chevy did a decade later rebadging the same, next generation Holden as the Chevy SS) with plans to bring over the ute and coupe versions as well. They got shitcanned with the rest and part of it was probably because GM was tired of Pontiac spending 60 years or so constantly on the verge of making cars that had to be killed to protect the Corvette (Fiero, Banshee, etc).
>It's not worth it for most companies to make fast cars anymore.
It's not worth it for them to make NEW fast cars, unfortunately. Mustangs, Camaros, they'll always sell on name alone, as will Corvettes. The Challengers have been doing pretty good and the Chargers have massive usage as police cruisers. Anything else? Good luck. Nobody bought the Chevy SS despite it being a fantastic car because they thought it was just a Malibu, the SS died and now Holden itself is stopping the RWD V8 cars they've made for decades. Nobody bought the Viper because the engineers refused to dumb it down by putting a non-manual transmission in and now it's dead too, and until last year FCA also owned Ferrari who was probably complaining about this ridiculous American sports car with a park bench on the back beating their 458s and Ferrari TheFerraris.
I agree the retarded regulations are idiotic and getting worse by the year, though. Let's make backup cameras standard required equipment instead of stepping back and saying hey, maybe we should make the fucking back windows a bit bigger. Let's add 100 types of collision avoidance because our drivers are too busy tapping on the fucking iPad we replaced the air conditioning controls with.
What is the Power Digger of 2017?

Are you from USA? Always wondered - was there anything lego-related on TV during 90s in America?
In Russia we have a kids tv-Show named LEGO-GO!
Everybody in my school watched it because it was so fun - it was featuring new sets and kids were having some competitions like Speed-building, Designing and stuff like that.
Of course everybody was super jealous because at the end of that show every kid was getting a free Lego-set.

>>6128729
I wanna recolor and modify it so I can use it as a base for Jango's version. Something like Pic related.
>>6128733
Do it if you want but there's a lot of large rounded pieces in sand red, dark green, sand green you'll need to replace that I don't believe have substitutes in the Jango colours.
Get it anyway it's a beautiful build and the closest to accurate minifig scale.
>>6128753
I did actually check rebrickable, and almost all of the dark red pieces do exist in dark blue, but some modifications are gonna need to be made to accommodate the unavailable pieces, especially for the top half of the dish. And I know for a fact that the arches above the fins exist in black, so I'm good there.
Either way, worst case scenario I just give up on the Jango palette swap and keep it in Boba's color scheme. It's such a nice ship, I just know I'm gonna kick myself in the future if I miss out on it now when it's available.
Does LDD still have the "purchase the set in real bricks" service or did they stop doing that?
Was it ever a good deal or was it grossly overpriced?

If you do end up getting a ucs Xwing, see about trying to get yourself one of these R2-D2 polybags when they're available. The minifig scale R2-D2 that comes with the Xwing is way too small compared to the set and it looks hilariously out of proportion when seated inside. I figure the 4x4 printed dome piece that comes in the polybag will look much better in its place.
>>6128809
Yeah I thought about getting it. Also, the 10240 has the same issue with the engines' sizes as the 7191 had so I'm currenty waiting for bricklinked parts to change them according to a mod from eurobricks.

Thats because Lego City is a lego "theme" - thing for action and playing. So it has characters and situations that keep happening.
And what is not more fitting to the City than fire, crimes or some demolition.
Creator on the other hand - for oldfags that have family so they can buy an expensive modular and build it after exausting job, dreaming about "perfect city" and "cute interiour"

I love modulars so much. And in my Lego world they are the most fun places filled with crime fighters and villains of all kinds.
Seriously - who buys modular just...to "build" and leave them like that?
Watch Lego Movie.
>>6128893
Exactly the point I was making. A Lego modular police station would be cool (in the vein of the fire station) but it wouldn't need to have a stupid little helicopter on the roof and holding cells and squad cars/bikes.
>>6128905
Oh sorry then.
I dont like generic crime-minifigs myself.
They are way too specific and so useless by torso-part. I dont like how in 2017 we still have classic early 1900s striped prisoners.
>>6128905
also yeah - its funny how every set is about somebody stealing something.
I even wanted to create a bigass image filled with those sets just to show how almost every set has a "police chasing a generic criminal"
Also i never understood why lego keeps making these.
They look identical sinse 90s.
>>6128916
>>6128214
Crocs boat.
>>6128897
i love modulars (cant afford them though) because they can make such a great comfy city.
lego movie tells you to play with your toys any ay you want (with instructions we can build a skyscraper!), except dont destroy them.
made few things, just.. things.
>>6128241
>Dude I love all 3 of those chicks you made, might steal the black and white one if that's cool. What's her story?
Feel free to steal my designs, that's what lego's about.
She's going to be a girlfriend of a gangster dude I've been meaning to make, though I've also thought about putting her in my punk gang (which the green girl is in) instead.
Here's some brick built sci-fi guns.
So, Tony Twister managed to steal a time control gizmo and used it to defeat Doctor Cyber.
After many years, Tim is finally able to get back in time and get his revenge.
>>6128998
Tim team ... Well, it sounds horrible, i have to find a name. They're technically criminals, since time travelling isn't accepted by the Ultra Agency.
I'm still working on an updated Flying Time Vessel and have yet to decide if it's used by Twister and droids or Tim team
>>6129001
>He's gathering droids across the various themes.
Not going to post the Ultra Agents because well, they're just Ultra Agents. But I think they fit well as "time police"
>>6128998
Time Cruisers were an underrated theme
I liked how batshit the sets were
>>6127937
That's a good set anyway.
>>6129001
Here is my Toxikita army.
She became crazy after eating one of the rare Iluzyt gems. She became addicted and she wants more.
Does anyone have pictures of a Chima collection?
I know there was that one guy with the Ice Bears, but I don't have the image anymore.
I'd like to see how the sets look together, is all.
>>6129027
What full-sized legs should I buy for this one? Should I just go with light bluish gray-ones, or are there ones with better printing around?
I just want to get Batman for my 60s Batmobile, and this is the best one available, not counting the real 60s Batman.
>>6129049
Light gray legs with dark blue hips? Maybe dual-molded gray/blue legs if such exist.
>>6128909
>Trying to outrun an ATV with a trolley

>>6128942

>>6129058
Lego criminals have it rough.
>>6129067
Do you think the Lego City Police force lets them escape so easily so they can chase them down like that?
I also wonder about the geography of the Lego City
>>6129067
Marcus "The Moustache" Monroe has seen some shit
>>6129069
>Do you think the Lego City Police force lets them escape so easily so they can chase them down like that?
They need to keep up with the crime quota
>>6129069
>Police let criminals run rampant
>Firemen start fires
>Hospitals rig skateboards to cause injuries
Gotta keep the economy flowing
>>6129076
>The LCPD only lets criminals pull off these daring escapes so they can increase their yearly budget
>Criminals have realised this and moved on to other ventures
>Crime in Lego City drops overnight
>Chief of Police runs a secret division of cops to act as criminals so the money train keeps on rolling
>>6129081
I haven't looked at city sets in ages, but I thought they would have switched to trans-clear rather than sticking to trans-light blue.
>>6129081
>A lot of buildings are built shoddily in order to demolish/burn them down for insurance
>>6129096
The real criminals in Lego City are the Bankers and Government workers
>Pottery.jpg
>>6129089
That sounds like that Batman plotline where Joker, Penguin, etc were all a part of Alfred's theatre group, portraying villains to cure Batman's depression.
Okay built a darksaber. C&C before I cracklink?
>>6129081
i still have this set, unopened for some reason.
>>6127941
Ghostly singing girl is cute!
>>6128214
This and Lennox's Lion Attack were my favorites. This thing is like a hummer with shifting laser cannons and razor disks that launch out of its mouth.
>>6129001
I love that grown up Tim became a villain. Very cool look you've got going for him.
>>6128283
Do it. They aren't available elsewhere.
>>6128800
Aside from the set that came with the Mungus big figure, the tribe packs were the only Chima product I bought. The ice zombies were good (the concept art was great), but the rest of the Fire & Ice theme didn't do anything for me. I missed out on those awesome arachnid villains.
Right, gf insists on buying me some shit on my birthday, and and I don't want anything, so we settled on the 5€ sets.
But now that it's inevitable, I don't know which one I want.

https://shop.lego.com/en-US/Blue-Racer-31027
https://shop.lego.com/en-US/Desert-Racers-31040
I'm balancing between red and blue. Which one has the best pieces?
>>6129167
Check bricklink and decide what's the best for you.
>>6129174
I have them opened, looking at the pieces list now.
The desert racer has the offroad branded tires and two mudguards, which are useful.
Red hasn't got anything interesting
Blue has the curved mudguards.
Now that I think about it, it doesn't really matter for five crowns, and I'd need at least four of them to make a difference.
Gonna pick the blue one probably.
>tfw not enough Estonian Klocki...
Thanks god.
>>6129182
That block mascot thing looks so tumorous and sad.

Nope

>when anon doesn't have anything to add but still wants to post
>>6129303
Can't be arsed to watch the review right now, what does he say?
The only time I get really irked with him is the fact that he needs to complain about nostalgia fags whenever he reviews an old set.
>>6129315
I linked the specific time it's muh damsel in distress shit
>>6129315
He said he's tired and fed up with the cliche of women being damsels in distress and needing saved.
It doesn't really bother me, but Lego literally did the same thing with the same characters in a wave 1 Nexo Knights set so I somewhat agree, at least with this set.
>>6129234
Man, i saw that at wal-mart for $45 (finally). Box was all worn warped from being in the discount isle for the past 4 years.
>>6129320
IMO this set should have King impresioned as he is scaredy cat in the show.

>>6128942
I'm still thinking about buying one of those, if only for the olive green pieces I could use for military MOCs.

He's right.
well then.....

that's a big car
>>6129399

Are you allowed to buy only a single minifig at the lego store, or do you need to buy 3?
>>6129412
You can buy fewer than three if you'd like, but you're still going to have to pay $9.99.
>>6129412
Never actually asked, but it seems you need to buy 3.
>>6128613
I really hope you will build this in real.
>>6129448
I believe the stores I've been to say 3 minifigs. Then it shows that each minifig is a head, body, legs, hair/hat, and one accessory. If you could buy any 15 parts you could just grab 15 chimps for $10.
>>6129461
Yes, you can.
Well, the official signage says 3 figures, but the guys at my store are more lax about it, then. Because I have seen people buy a 15-strong flock of seagulls and stuff like that. I know I've personally picked up a pile of hairpieces before to give to some incomplete figs I had.
Depends on who's working at the time, I guess, and how much they like you.
>>6128909
>>6129067
I like how stoked the cops are to be doing their jobs. They just look so pleased, and the criminals are just like "Well, shit."
>>6129005
Those kind of sets never quite sat right with me, similar to the Lego Movie sets. I like sets to have proper designs to them: If I want something random, I'll build it myself. I guess I mean that my own creations are dorky and hodge-podgey and I want official sets to be neat and orderly.
>>6129104
It's the Bankers who caused the economy to go bust and forced these guys to become thieves to support their Lego building habits.
>>6129114
I'd watch this animated short.
>>6129128
How will you display it?
>>6129328
Not just a trope: I talked to this (Mexican) married couple yesterday. He's all mumbly and whispery and unsure of himself, she grabs the phone from him and is forthright, commanding and clear-spoken. So many Mexican husbands are such cucks.

>I believe the stores I've been to say 3 minifigs. Then it shows that each minifig is a head, body, legs, hair/hat, and one accessory.
When the seagull was available in the BAM, there were a few people who posted pictures of their containers with 15 seagulls.

Sometimes the lego store or online lego shop gives away polybags with a purchase. You can also find them at stores like target or walmart, but it's kinda random. If you just want a specific bag, check bricklink.
>>6129721
>imperial army
75078 comes with 4 Stormtroopers with newer helmet/body prints, assuming you can find some somewhere.
75134 has two "battle-damaged" Stormtroopers with jetpacks, a red-tinted one, and an officer.
75103 is a bigger set that comes with quite a few troops for variety. Also makes for a nice "central" unit as it's a dropship/carrier.

People sell the original boxes on bricklink. You should buy up a bunch of cheep Friends boxes and just leave a few out at a time to mess with her. Fill them with bricks or rocks for a better effect.

It seems to be up to the manager on duty whether or not you can do that. I managed to get 15 seagulls at one LEGO store, a combination of 15 bats and t-bone steaks at a different one, but one didn't let me do a combination of hats and hairpieces.
I really want to get back into Lego but I'm reluctant to dive straight into a really expensive set.
what are some good easily available sets for £40ish
