Because, although they can't be posed or done shit with some look decent like the big daddy, it's nice and bulky and it's a nice decoration, because that's what they are, something you use to give a little colour here and there, of course it isn't even the same thing or hobby as collecting actual figures. But goddamn I fucking wanted a Bioshock big daddy, and this looked like the only chance I had to have one. Next thing you know someone decides to give you a gift and gets you a rorschach one because they know you like the comic, and it's not like you're gonna tell them to return it and give you a 15 euro gift card, then you find a nice cthulhu in the bin for 5 euros and there you have it, you have 3 funkos taking up space. It's not like you have to brand your loyalty to funko if you get one that you like, nor it's even close to buying a figure since it's 1/4 of the price.
Only reason that I lurk these threads is in the hope to ever see a gorillaz funko announcement, since that too may be the only chance to have a figurine of them.
So that's it, don't be too harsh, one may be collecting fun toys that are worth it to put in a cabinet but sometimes you want just some colorful stuff to put around, and it's not like you're gonna waste a good figure for something like that.

Hot Topic occasionally does but you have to be careful with the fine print, they occasionally leave out their exclusive POPs from them.

They'll probably look like the ones that the Lapis Lazuli Mystery Mini has, so it'll look good in theory.

My only worry is with Peridot, Garnet's visor wasn't too good in my opinion.

That's the general gist of what "flocked" means in the Funko community.

To be more precise, it's basically a felt-like covering that's applied POPs and some Mystery Minis to mimic the texture of fur or feathers.

The original Goofy POP looked weird, so I'm glad they fixed it for the KH POPs.

I would say yes. There's been some Pops that get jacked up in price the first month or so but then can be acquired for a more reasonable price not too long after.

Barnes and Noble has clearance sales each quarter and sometimes a Pop or two gets included (usually damaged boxes though), Gamestop sometimes has a sale where selected Pops are $5 but that's infrequent.

Your best bet is buying the boxes themselves online, but you don't have the luxury of hand-picking the figures yourself (which is necessary for Rose).

I'd agree; I've been shocked how good all the Witcher and Gears pops I've seen have looked. Of the last 20 or so Pops I've bought, the only one that was kind of rough was Tracer, and I imagine her goggles sort of lend themselves to sloppier paint.

The diecast isn't an asset, it's a detriment. I laughed when I saw the "heavy die cast" sign on the box cause it's clearly pandering to people who believe weight = value. Used like this, with no real reason for it, all diecast does is ensure that your paint will chip really, really easily.

Also, while I will admit a few of them look decent, I am mostly just weirded out by their hulking, roided out sculpts that clearly skipped leg day.
