Has there ever been a more hit & miss toy company?
It's hard to believe these figures are from the same line.
Anyways, this thread wasn't meant to be purely bashing them, as they're clearly capable of making some really great figures.
Post your hits and shits from the dark horse of Japanese 6" action figure makers.

You can't compare a character in a suit of armor to a steaming pile of shit. This is a characterization they'll come to view as a low point when they look back on the DC movieverse and I can't wait to see how they try to change it to fit a more classic Joker appearance all the while praising this edgelord take on the character.

>You can't compare a character in a suit of armor to a steaming pile of shit
Disregard the armor for just a sec, look at the quality of the paint applications on both of the Boba Fetts compared to MOM'S GONNA FREAK. Look at that awful hair which looks more like a watermelon than dyed green hair. Boba has nice clean paint apps, the Joker looks like something Mattel would shit out.
These figures were made by the same company, it really boggles the mind.

I've got nothing, Bob Fetterson is clearly superior, however since I don't care about The Jester or all of his failings I'm going to have to ask that you delete the DCU and reinstall the Val Killmore updates
>Kylo Ren supposed to release this month
>no new photos of it since it was announced

>JUST THE TIP
>Has there ever been a more hit or miss company?
Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. At this point part of the fun is whether or not the figure will be serviceable or absolute shit
Phasma when? Fucker's still holding up my December amiami order.

although as funny as it was I wish their Wonder Woman didn't turn out so fucking bad
>>6118451
What are the odds we'll get a 2.0 after the solo film?
For as much as The Dark Knight was ass the 2.0 was decent enough--- at least by comparison
>>6118224
A lot of reviewers actually ended up liking this Joker though, and even consider it a sleeper hit of sorts.
Even going off of that photo the only thing that could use some work is the hair sculpt itself whereas the rest look spot-on to Leto's Joker.
>>6118265
>the Joker looks like something Mattel would shit out.
I don't even care for Leto Joker but really now?
When we already have an actual example of what Mattel is capable of shitting out?

The Mafex looks like it's made from some kind of translucent plastic, like his skin is meant to glow in the dark or something. It looks so cheap for what it's supposed to be.
>>6118316
Yep
I'm guessing its going to be Wonder Woman tier.
It's honestly a fitting figure for this background extra from a Marilyn Manson video.
>>6118687
>The Mafex looks like it's made from some kind of translucent plastic
That's more of a norm for Mafex and even Figma than anything to do with quality control though, especially with how the exposed skin are usually molded in their respective colors.

i dont know why anyone is surprised, this one looked like trash from the get go
>>6118516
what the actual fuck??
>>6118224
The term is hit or miss.
>>6118451
I was really looking forward to her, dammit. It's not just the paint apps, her entire head seems to have warped from the proto sculpt.
Harley looks potentially good. The printing ought to help a lot from this point. I'm holding on to my Rey preorder with fingers crossed.

>Look at that awful hair which looks more like a watermelon than dyed green hair.
Dammit, can't unsee.
>>6118224
why would anyone buy this?
At least he has individually sculpted teeth, unlike SHF Harley.
If he bargain bins I'd honestly consider buying him.
I'm still waiting for them to finish their Dark Knight Rises with Bane.
I've heard a lot of good things about the BvS Batman.
>>6121377
Hit or miss refers to singular things, like a release could be hit or miss. Hit and miss refers to something with a record, i.e. Mafex has a history of hits and misses, hence hit and miss.
>>6121962
Bane?
>>6121949
Harley looks cute af tho
>>6121964
I have him and armoured batman and they are both great
>>6121949
To be fair, Harley doesn't really need individually sculpted teeth while it's kind of necessary for Joker since his 'grill' would look weird without the additional sculpting.
The Sarlacc base from Hot Toys Boba Fett looks comically small with a 1/6 scale figure, looks pretty good with Mafex though.
>>6121989
>hence
Technically it's "thus".
But you get points for not using "hence why".
One of my stormtroopers just took a shelfdive out of nowhere, it was totally silent in my room so I almost crapped my pants when he hit the floor.
Those knees and toe joints are pretty damn loose, makes neutral poses tricky to maintain.

My neca aliens do this sometimes... late at night. It's always scary as shit.
