For those unfamiliar, "Plamo" is a shortened form of "plastic model." If it's made of plastic, someone can probably help you here.

***Non-Gundam Group Build***
So this is pretty straightforward, build something that isn't Gundam. I literally do not care what it is, if it's not Gundam it counts (and just to get this out of the way, Bandai is fine). I do not require full paint jobs this time either, as I know the vast majority of people here build Bandai and that's it.
This is also not a prize build, but a regular group build.
Submit to [email protected].
Due Date: March 1st, 2017.
Banshee and SD, or Unicorn and SD? Need something to go with my SD Neo Zeong and the the HG Sinanju I'll be getting.
I showed my custom a few times but I get the same comment of adding a cockpit so I tried this ... comment??
Why doesn't Bandai undergate everything?
Seems like it makes much less hassle for snappers and makes the kits look better without having to do much work.
>>6115472
Needs to be shorter and more stout
Remember, girth>length
Cut about halfway where the white part starts to taper back, and shorten the tip
>>6115522
Short answer: money. It's cheaper to design a kit with regular sprues than a kit with undergated sprues.
>>6115313
>My kit as the picture for the general
I finally achieved something!
Mmm... vague.
>>6115788
is it a jim
Look what we've got here, a comission! Photopolymer parts of mecha from game Walking War Robots.
Anyone know if Tamiya Finishing Abrasives are able to be wet sanded?
Adding some details...
>>6115813
First explain why didn't you just buy regular sandpaper
>>6115789
I think its another lovely design part of the Astray family
Aaaaand it's finished. This one called Stalker, IIRC. Just basic painting with some scratches by tamiya's Dark Iron.
>>6115294
I build mine at work. I've had coworkers ask to buy built ones for their kids
>>6115472
Id say make the legs a bit longer and thicker and widen out the waist a bit to get that zone of the enders look
And last one. Stupid captcha.
>>6115294
IT goes like this:
>I build Gundams and collect children's toys.
>"But you're like, old."
>Yes, yes I am.
>>6115834
Do you call them retarded for trying to buy fragile models for their mong children who'd smash it as soon as they get their hands on it?
>>6115820
Got it for free, might as well use it.
>>6115853
Hey now, that's not really fair. They see a jointed robot and think toy because they DO look like toys. They don't know how these things work. If anything it's a matter of ignorance, but as soon as the word "fragile" is used I'm sure that idea is scrapped immediately.
>>6115850
Gundam is like extremely low tier weeb stuff anyway, just say it's Japanese transformers model kits and you like robots
>>6115294

>>6116126
I do not lie Anon, I merely tell the sad truths.
>>6116178
>SAL postal parcel available
Am I missing something or what?
>>6116289
Postal Packet costs basically twice as much as small packet, takes longer when it's in the country due to it going to Parcel Force and not Royal Mail, and more likely to be taxed too.
It's only upside compared to small packet is a bigger size restriction on parcels, but it costs the same amount to go for DHL or EMS or whatever at that point.
First build of 2017.
>>6116360
This is not my group build entry because too easy.
>>6116361
>>6115781
Is that a custom? I really like the looks of it.
>>6116362
Some time ago anon wanted my builds on imgur, here you go:
https://anonymousmodeler.imgur.com/
>>6116304
Any kind of SAL is better for me in France than EMS, since the society that takes over once it's there (Chronopost), is fucking terrible.
NEVER avoid custom duties, add its own 'file management' tax on top and forces you to go to a specific post office if they miss the one and only delivery attempt they make.
Paid 60€ for a box of gashapon toys, +20€ for EMS and 40€ for custom duties and Chronopost's tax.
I kinda swore off EMS after that.
>>6116369
This kit is pretty cool so far. The top of the head is removeable so you can access the batteries and switch for the LED.

RULES OF NATURE
How do you guys paint transparent pieces? Isn't there paint designed to have transparency when applied?
>>6116528
Tamiya clear paint is what I have. I'm pretty sure others make it too.
>>6116528
Tamiya, Mr Color and Gaia all make great clear paints.
You peasant filth, taking your gundams out to "build them"
Only I a true gundam lord know how they are meant to be enjoyed sealed, to maintain collectors value the way they're meant to be enjoyed...
>>6116568 just kidding.
>>6116568
If they're sealed, that's usually done by the stores themselves rather than Bandai or Bluefin.
>>6116574
I knew that...
>>6116422
How is the Cherno to build?
It's on my to-buy list but so are alot of other kits.
>>6116624
It's more like a big HG than a MG. The torso has inner frame but that's more because it has some exposed frame areas on the finished build and to make the LED work rather than being for detail.
Pretty fun build though, the way they integrated the LED works really well (It's a big block in teh center you build around with the battering at the top for easy access.
With its price though I wouldn't suggest picking it up if your just casually interested and not a big Pacific Rim or Cherno fan or you will probably be disappointed.
I've built like 1 HG kit and 1 no-grade 1/100, and everything else has either been a MG or an RG. I can't go back, but damn if MGs and RGs aren't so expensive in comparison.
>>6116676
>I can't go back
Says who?
>>6116680
my expensive taste I guess. I'll probably get into HGs when I git gud enough to paint to compensate for the lack of parts separation.
Getting close with this guy
>>6116629
Ok thanks, I might end up picking it up as an extra one time.
It's a unique model, so it's got that appeal going for it.
Can you use art store mineral spirits specifically with Tamiya enamels? Is it as dangerous for the plastic as hobby enamel thinners?
What are our chances of getting a MS-08 Gouf Custom RG... or Tristars RG
I can see that Ramba Ral Gouf will probably never get a RG but a HG Origin instead. Also any anon here care to share their opinions abt the HG Origin Char's Zaku II? I just finished building my RG Zaku II and am in want of more to pose alongside it.
>>6116705
Looking pretty good, man. How'd you go about with extending the limbs and torso that have an inner frame in them?
>>6116744
very small chance of either RG, as the RG line is usually reserved for main suits and occasionally major enemies. the black tristars specifically are not hugely popular or known
>>6116736
Why don't you just use these? The scale modellers thread on /toy/ and some military modelers use them with decent results.
Otherwise thinned down acrylics via a fair amount of gloss medium does an okay enough job for panel washes.
>>6116751
I'd rather use model paints to be sure of the quality. I just want to know if any mineral spirit would work as a cheaper alternative for thinner.
>>6116752
Don't use Tamiya thinner, get some Mr Levelling thinner, 100% better.
>>6116752
Dude, normalfag modellers (like Adam Savage, military, etc) use artist's oils for panel washes, and painting figure faces.
Step up your game mang.
>>6116759
I really like artists oils for things with many more little details where the wash doesn't need to be as super precise like gunpla lines often do. I feel like it "blends" into the surface better. Also they work just fine as you say.
>>6116777
W&N water mixable oils should probably solve most of the cleanup problems for precise panel washing in gunpla.
>>6116788
W&N water mixable oils are nearly idiot-proof. You can clean up, dilute and wash off with tap water like they're acrylics/watercolors, mostly.
>>6116736
Use mineral turpentine to thin tamiya enamels it works perfectly fine. That's all Tamiya x20 thinner is, but far more expensive because MUH brandname. go buy a litre of turpentine from a hardware store for less than quarter the price.
If you want to weather & panel line with enamels, go buy a bottle of lighter fluid too. Use the lighter fluid & a q-tip to clean up lining. Difference between turps & lighter fluid is lighter fluid will not harm acrylic paint at all if your enamel washing over acrylic paint. Turps will start to take off the acrylic if your rubbing hard with the q-tip.
>>6116748
So would the HG Origin Tristars be good kits to grab then if I'd want more HG/RG sized kits to display with my RG Zaku II? I'm not getting the RG Char Zaku II because it's just too pink for my tastes, I'm probably getting the HG Origin Char Zaku II instead of the RG.
>>6116797
The HG origin tristars are great, I have ortega. The surface details are fantastic and so is the articulation, but a few places require some awkward stickers or painting
>>6115781
what head and body is that? if you don't mind me asking.
>>6116758
GG, do you use Mr Levelling thinner for all paint types?
What are undergates? Are they when a sprue hits underneath a part?
And what are undergates for?
>>6116821
>Are they when a sprue hits underneath a part?
Yes, so that you won't have to do cutting and sanding on a section of the part that will be visible.
>>6116806
I guess no more RG Zakus for me then and HG Origin Zaku suits from now on, as much as I liked the RG, I don't really look forward to building another RG Zaku.
I went to London Comic Com during last year November and there was a model kit booth selling a lot of gundam models as well as kotobukiya and other stuff. There was a guy with a top hat selling stuff. Was he the guy Richigo had a problem with?
>>6116744
I think the HG Origin Char's Zaku II is great. Looks wonderful even you just snap and panel line, fun articulation.
I dont have any experience with RGs, however.
>>6116884
Any issues with the smell?
>>6116892
No, it's no worse than using lighter fluid with panel lining IMO (though I am using a booth).
>>6116901
with respirator or just a booth?
>>6116904
Just a booth by a window, in a decently large room.
>>6116906
tnx
>>6116937
they must be IBOfriends
>>6116422
What Zaku is that?
>try to put stickers on my RG MK.II
>they disappear even while they're on my fucking finger
I didn't sign up for this dark magic shit
>>6116736
>>6116758
>Tamiya enamels
>Mr Levelling thinner, 100% better
Not for enamels it's not. Lacquer thinners are not suitable for thinning enamels.
>>6116736
If you are actually airbrushing or hand painting I would stick with their brand thinner.
If you want a wash and are looking for cheap alternative use oils with turpentine as a thinner.
In both cases the thinner WILL damage plastic if you are not careful.
>>6116994
Wait Tamiya makes enamels? I've only ever seen their acrylic line.
>>6116858
I have a Zaku II RG, I don't really like it. I like the effort that went into the engineering, I mean the fingers are cool, although it can't really hold shit.
But it falls apart wall too easy.
I think at this point HGs are detailed enough for the 1/144 scale. I wish I got an HG Origin Zaku.
>>6116996
I don't think they're available in the states.
>>6116996
>doesn't know thing
>gives advice about it
>>6117005
>not available in the US
I don't think they sell them in Walmart but I am in the US and I have them. They are not prohibited.
They've been around forever.
>>6117014
Interesting, none of the hobby stores near me have it, they've only got the acrylic (and I've checked every one within a good 50 miles). Are you finding them at a railroad hobby store, or just a general hobby store?
>>6117018
I'm sure there are hobby shops that sell them but I buy all my paints online so I wouldn't know.
>>6117025
That explains it, I mostly buy my Tamiya in store, but Gaia or Mr Color I buy online.
>>6115313
Zaku II MS-06F MG 2.0 or RG? Looking at the pictures, RG seems more detailed.
>>6116972
Forget about the stickers lasting unless you're going to coat it all. I've laughed away the few stickers I've put on my RG Zaku II. I put the metallic strips on the joints because they really did enhance the look, before I could decide on whether to put down the small text stickers on the Zaku II.
Half of them just wilted away or had the metallic surfaces scratched off despite having only had the joints moved here and then for posing.
It's a joke, much easier still to just use metal marker to reapply so far lol.
Also, I'm taking any recommendations for metal markers to use on kits.
>>6116997
I know what you mean. I love the details but I did have to glue the end of the forearms and the wrist plate. The eye sticker keeps rubbing against the windshield part too but I do love this look for the Zaku II. I'd be willing to even pay for a sturdier 144 scale action figure if it had this level of detail.
So far there hasn't been any green Zaku IIs in the HG Origin line-up but I'm guessing it's coming whenever we get a scene with them in some Origin ep/movie. When that day comes, I'll definitely be grabbing a few to pose alongside the RG Zaku II.
>>6117014
I've been to a lot of hobby shops in my state and I've never seen any of them carry their enamels.
Not even the shops that carry damn near everything.
While on the subject of Tamiya, I got around to trying our their panel line washes. The black wash is pretty much what you'd expect; good stuff that. The gray wash is very subtle on white, but needed an extra application or two. Not completely sold on the brown wash, though. It's a little underwhelming on red parts, but not awful. There's a dark brown wash out, but I haven't been able to get my hands on that one yet.
>>6117158
You know you can mix these panel washes like normal paints to get the color you want, right? Black + light gray gives you various shades of gray.
Pic related is dark brown.
Brown wash is meant to simulate rust.
>>6117161
Trying them out for the first time on some spare parts; haven't tried that yet. My issue with the gray is that when it dries, the paint particles tended to recede a bit, requiring a touch-up or two. I rather like how it looks on white, actually. I tried the brown wash on red parts because I always hear people saying brown looks best on red for panel lines. Seeing it first hand, it doesn't do much for me, so I'll probably stay with black for colored parts and gray for white parts.
xmas present to myself has arrived from glorious nippon
>>6117004
>>doesn't know thing
>>gives advice about it
Thats basically Gunpla general's advice in a nutshell. At least half of the advice given here is from people who wouldnt know.
>>6117161
Should have gone for a black wash along the contact point between the wheels and track. Looks like a single mould right now (which I know it is)
>>6116996
>Wait Tamiya makes enamels? I've only ever seen their acrylic line.
Tamiya enamels have been around since the late 70's. Its a terrible, terrible idea to use MR Hobby thinners with them.
Why do people look down on snap builders?
I've seen some people get legitimately mad that people don't paint or customize their kits.
>>6117185
Good Choice. Please do it any other colour than red. There are far too many red customs & they all look the same.
>>6117354
Anon.... it's a clear kit
>>6117354
Damn, anyone know what kind of paint that is?
That looks amazing.
>>6117354
>Painting a Char suit in anything but red
>>6116434
Nope, comissioner gave me printed parts. Anyway, that photopolymer is real pain in ass in sanding and priming. Next time I will simply copy all parts in resin.
Also, my GF finished this Benisuzume, Resin kit from e2046
Are there any ways to reduce the amount of plastic that you can see when putting stickers on? Decals are fine, but actual stickers can be annoying especially on coloured parts.
I've tried cutting some down to as little clear plastic as possible, but are there any alternatives?
>>6117356
just spotted the gunpla expo label on it, oh well, at least do the inner frame shiny.
>>6117359
could be a number of things, gaia make some nice golds, alclad do too but theres a lot of others out there too. Doesnt look like its got clear colours over the gold so its probably down to a nice polish on the primer before spraying the gold.

Fill up the gaps with plaplate and putty or weld some other scrap pieces onto it

>>6117546

What are the chances we'll get an updated MG Dom anytime soon? And if the answer is "unlikely," how is the current one we have? Has it stood the test of time, or become creaky and outdated?
>>6117599
Go watch a review.
>>6115522
>>6115525
Fuck undergating, what Bandai really needs to do is use those thin-ass easy-snap gates they used on their LBX kits more often. They don't hurt serious modelers, and they make it much easier and more attractive for snappers. They also leave behind very small or unnoticeable nubs, which happily equals less cleaning.
I mean shit, I like to go all out on kits like anyone else, but sometimes when I'm tired at the end of the day I just wanna snap something together with nothing but my bare hands and NOT have it look like a nubby mess. LBX used to fill that niche but it's gone now.
>>6117599
the current mg dom is still amazingly good. super detailed inner frame, really good articulation, finger articulation, the regular dom is worthless compared to the rickdom, better everything including the fuckhuge improved rocket launcher (you still get the old one with the kit) but with chars rickdom you get a tiny 1/100 char to stand on the pilot gantry and a 1/20th char to stand in front.
>>6117611
BBsenshi and candy toys still use that. Basically, the "kiddie" lines.
>>6117641
Yes but more due to how candy toys are packaged.
>>6115788

Man, I can only aspire to be that brave hero of Earth.
Got the legs on tonight so I can see how tall it is now. From left to right:
Neca 7" Cherno Alpha
Plamax 1/350 Cherno Alpha
1/144 HG Graze
1/100 MG Zaku II 2.0
I didn't feel like pulling out a 1/60 for comparison but he's about in between an average 1/100 and 1/60 gunpla in height.
>>6118803
Oh right, i have a Graze to assemble too. I should do that. Eventually.
Did I do good, /toy/?

guys, c'mon.
>>6118940
still free even for individual items, so who cares
the pure luxury of having a single $5 dollar SD on international transport is divine
>>6118929
Basically no. The Gryps Era set contains all of the ancient Zeta HGUC kits. The old Hyaku Shiki and Mk II aren't good by any modern standard.
>>6118929
I'm positive if you just waited for the new updated Zeta that's releasing soon you could have gotten all updated versions of those for a little bit over the same price
>Shiki is about 15
>Gundam Mk2 is about 12
>plus whatever the new Zeta will be
Maybe even for less if you used an import site like hlj or something because of how weak the yen is and you're already waiting a month
>>6118150
You mix paints.
You test the mixes dropwise, record each addition and what the shade is each time.
You do actual work.
>>6118803
Yeah, when I found out the scale, I number crunched the model to be about 9.6in/24.3cm tall.
How high does it actually measure?
How do you guys display your kits?
Do you only display your fully completed/best kits, or do you have everything on display?
>>6119159
Right now I only have three kits built, so they're all on display but I figure eventually I'm going to have to only display my favorites or maybe cycle them out.
>>6119159
I have 38 of them sitting on various tables and desks in my house. Most are just hanging out in a clump in the office.
>>6119159
I have a glass display cabinent that's a part of this entertainment center I have, all my kits and gundam figures are displayed on the three shelves, outside a devil gundam shrine I have on a table near my bed.
I need that four-legged devil army grunt, come to think of it.
>>6118803
holy shit that's HUGE. I like how crisp the details look on it. My bulky/green mech collection is all HG though, so I think I'll skip this guy. Got Gusion coming, will probably end up grabbing a Graze too.
>>6119155
The Neca next to it is slightly more than 7" so a little over 9" looks to be about right.
>>6119159
I keep my SD kits on the non-vented half of my Xbone. HG/MG are boxed after being built.
>>6117719
I built this one recently, I still don't know how to make it hold the beam saber.
>>6119159
only completed and painted for me, keeps the space more manageable
>>6119540
I'll probably cheat and use sticky tack, it worked well with the zaku II hands that are loose
I've built the 1/144 Grimgerde, and it gave me a few ideas for custom versions.
Should I buy another 1/144 for it, or is the 1/100 more suited for customs?
>>6119612
Scale for customs is a personal preference.
>>6119619
I don't really have much experience with customs past custom colors schemes, and since I plan to scratchbuild and alter some parts, I was wondering if the difference in part separation made it any easier or harder.
>>6119622
There are certainly more option parts for 1/144
>>6119624
Okay, thank you
>>6119622
1/144 tends to have more variety so its easier to kitbash, and scratchbuilding for mg can be a little trickier to match the higher detail level compared to most 1/144, but overall it will come down to personal preference and whichever you personally enjoy working on more.

So, my HG G Gundam is giving me a hell of a lot of issues, I almost think the plastic has warped or something, took ages to get the legs together, and picture related is not making me happy. The backplate for the left leg in the picture is barely hanging on, compared to the one shown on the right. Should I just try to glue or cement this? I'm not having any fun with this kit, and it pains me because it was a really special gift.
>>6119787
It looks like you're not cleaning the nubs properly. I'd suggest disassembling both, cleaning the nubs, and going back together and see if that helps. If not I can check mine when I get home tonight if no one responds before then.
>>6119693
Looks like shit, senpai
So I'm in the process of building RG Sinanju, and I have a couple questions about it:
Why in the hell won't his left arm stay in it's socket under the top shoulder armor? A lot of spots on the kit have trouble falling apart when posing it, but the main offenders is the arm(s) and the head, and I'm afraid to glue those two in, because it will probably prevent them from moving, seeing as where I'd need the glue at
and why the hell won't he stand up on his own? The kit didn't come with an action stand, and with the backpack he's just wayyyy too back heavy and falls over constantly
other than those problems, I have some more, like the knee piece falling out a lot, glued it on, foot toe piece fell out a lot, glued. It's really just that fucking arm, pop in the arm, head falls off.. pop in the head, arm falls off, then hand falls off arm, pisses me off
>>6119963
the answer to most of your questions is basically that it is too complicated a kit for the scale its in
i agree about the knee and toe pieces being the worst offenders with regard to falling off
i havent had your experience with the arm and head falling off, don't know what thats about
as for back heaviness, get an action base i guess. it's the only way to put this grenade in any sort of pose
>>6119986
Oh okay, thanks.. Also what scale IS this kit? It says 144 in the RG logo, but it's bigger than the 1/144 Barbatos and 1/144 Kimaris I have, but it's smaller than my 1/100 MG Freedom 2.0
and maybe I just haven't clicked the arm and head in well enough, I'll try again later
>>6119992
It might still be 144, since the Barbatos is 18m (18.8 in 5th/6th form) and the Kimaris is 19.3m while the Sinanju is 22.6m.
Trivia: apparently both Barbatos & Kimaris are naturally heavier than the Sinanju
I wasn't very excited about the RG Gold frame, but after seeing that they overhauled the design...yeah that thing is on my list even though I have the HG.
>>6120010
Oh, shit, I didn't even think about them just... ya know, being different sizes
Which RG should I build first.
Wing EW
>Mk. II
Freedom
>GP-01
>>6120042
Which Mk.II is it? If Titans, then that. If not, then I'd vote for the Wing.
>>6120042
GP-01, more refined than the standard Gundam RX-78-2
>>6120026
I love it
>>6120026
i'll probably get it just because i fucking love putting together RGs, but I'll be damned if that isn't a hideous clusterfuck of a robot
>>6120047
AEUG. The Titans one intimidates me because dark blue plastic leaves stress marks like a motherfucker. I'll eventually build a titans when I get the water slides for it.
How is the Red Frame Astray to build? The RG 1/144? It looks really cool, but it doesn't look like a RG to me, according to the images I'm seeing on Amazon, the PG Red Frame Astray is a beauty but I don't have almost $200 for that beast
Hey guys, post your current custom or kitbash builds/designs.
>>6119859
The nubs to the connecting parts? No obstructions, went over them with a hobby knife to make sure. It's the two peg that hold the armor plate in that seem to be doing it, or not doing it in this case. Appreciate the help and offer to check your own Gelgoog, you are a really helpful guy.
>>6120115
I thought it was kind of a boring build. Inner frame is almost entirely pre-built, as seems to be normal for RGs, so you're basically just attaching a bunch of white blobs to a red skeleton.
The shoulder armor is also kind of weird as it apparently is supposed to partially hang loose.
>>6120026
What did they overhaul? Looks like they just changed some proportions and surface details as per most RGs. Also, MG when?
>>6120186
Currently building this monstrosity
Can the guy with the Dougram collectors box check his red Blockhead? I think I'm missing the piece for the visor, if there is one.
Testing out some Testors topcoat on old gunpla pieces that entered the graveyard years ago. Left is ultra gloss, right is matte. Which would better on a Saz?
>>6120417
I prefer the look of the matte here.
If the paint is coming out of the airbrush all speckled it's too thin, right?
>>6120430
That or your brush is clogged
>>6120441
I disassemble and clean it regularly, so it shouldn't be clogged. I guess I'll try using less thinner next time. Thanks Anon
Is it safe to use Mr. Super Clear or other aerosoles in the cold?
It's going to be 46F/8C today.
>>6120454
>Is it safe to use Mr. Super Clear or other aerosoles in the cold?
Long story short, no. The can should have a suggested temp range somewhere on the label, but I would not recommend spraying paint below 65° F. Humidity is also important, you don't want to spray when it's moist out.
>>6120192
Alright, pictures incoming. It looks like the back of the leg there is hinged for hyper mode, so it doesn't quite stick in place, it sorta hangs there without snapping into anything.

I've got 3 cats too, but my models are no where near that fucking dusty while building them. Takes about 2-3 months of sitting before they accumulate that

Yeah I've had it for a good while, I didn't even trim the v-fin on it, so it's at minimum 5 or 6 years old.

Still, thanks for the pictures Gelgoog, much appreciated.

Welcome, the only other thing I would suggest trying is to check if you've got the knee joint itself upside down.
Anyone got any cool tricks to have the Qubeley Mk-II's funnels deployed?
Is there also a way to make the decals not look like shit on the glossy surface?
I think the RG Z'gok waterslide decals from gundam.my do ship internationally
>>6120772
>Is there also a way to make the decals not look like shit on the glossy surface?
Several.
>>6120774
Looked through the guide again and did some auxiliary googling, no tips on having dry transfers not look like shit on a gloss finish. Mind sharing some wisdom?
>>6120673
>You forgot Rick Dias (Amuro), Re-GZ (Amuro)
If you're going to include even minor suits used by a MC you may as well include Guncannon, Guntank and Dijeh as well since Amuro hops into all of those at one point. (And Dijeh was his main suit from Zeta to begin with.)
>>6120777
Ditch dry transfers and get water slides.
>>6120026
>3240 moonbucks
That's pretty high for an RG, only 200 short of the Sinanju.
Will the gold be plated and the black glossy?
Hope the beam spear and shield aren't locked behind P-Bandai.
>>6120115
It's one of the more solid RGs out there, extremely poseable which is great for the Red Frame.
You can totally see the difference of the RG side by side with the HG.
There's always the MG which comes with the huge ass Tactical Arms which is pretty great too but I prefer the simplicity of the standard loadout of the RG.
>>6120820
Samueldecal probably has some you can order.
>>6120862
They are definitely hideous. So is Unicorn.
>>6120772

>>6120894
Unicorn in Unicorn mode looks really nice to me. Unfolding is trash. I rather wish they had stuck to the lack of a V fin for it. Not as bad ats the G-Self at least.
>>6120894
I like Unicorn mode too. I haven't bought any Unicorn kits other than the Zeon suits though.
How often do we get RGs? How much longer until we get to hear what's the next RG because I'm skipping that.
>>6120862
I think I like the gold frame but I can't really see what it looks like.
>>6117641
Assault Kingdom and Converge don't really require "assembly." It's pretty much just simple stuff like put the backpack and hands and weapons on. Y'know, basic action figure stuff, nothing that will take you more than a minute.
Be aware though that Universal Unit (which seems to have replaced Assault Kingdom) are basically tiny little kits, and must be fully trimmed off their sprues and assembled piece by piece.
>>6117620
>the regular dom is worthless compared to the rickdom, better everything
I don't really like the desaturated colors on the Rick Dom though. From what I can tell, the Rick just has the tiny char figure, the new rocket launcher, and a few small tooling changes, right? Cause I don't really care about that stuff, I'm mainly concerned with whether the Rick has better engineering or articulation or stuff like that.
>>6121004
Is that a Zeku Eins?
>>6121033
Zeku Zwei. From the aforementioned Universal Unit line.
I want it, but it's so pricey for what is ultimately a super fancy candy toy.
Can anyone with the MSG Killer Beak confirm that the pieces painted metallic in this image aren't actually like that straight from the runner? I imagine they're not, but a man can dream.
