Humans have a maximum security prison that holds captured Decepticons alive. That just screams a prison break happening to me. Also, dead Transformers are hauled to a junkyard, but not all of them are fully dead, and that's where Cade helps Autobots that have somehow survived. It wouldn't surprise me if some of those thought-to-be-dead are Cons, too.

The bit he mentioned about having to not have seen the previous films did worry me but then I had to think and, yes, compare what he might mean to what Marvel has done with their Cinematic universe (and yes, we're gonna bring marvel into this because they're the ONLY successful critically acclaimed Cinematic universe still going strong).

Take iron man 3, winter soldier, and thor 2. NONE of the events in those movies really lead up to age of Ultron. You didn't have to see any of those movies to understand what was going on in AOU. Yes, there are events that are called back to in AOU but they're so insignificant to the story happening within the movie that their only purpose is to kinda pat the people on the back that did go see those movies beforehand. Easter eggs that only serve for someone to go "I know what they're talking about". The TF films have done this exact thing in every movie after the 1st film.

That's why him saying the bee movie won't have to connect doesn't worry me. No doubt there will be nods but it doesn't have to continue the story from TLK.

That's the HFTD voyager version. It's essentially a downsized version of the ROTF Leader. There's a really slick looking repaint of it from Takara's AOE line but good luck getting ahold of that one.

Got my G2 Menasor set.

Was worried about shitty, cheap plastic, but surprisingly all the figures feels just as solid as their mold brothers.

The problem is the fucking paint. I mean, everything looks great, which is the reason I bought the set in the first place. But the extra coats of paint cause problems everywhere.

All the painted weapons are so thick you can't even force them into the figures' hands. Breakdown's chest piece is painted both on the pegs AND the insides of the peg holes, making it almost impossible to be set in place. The INSIDES of Motormaster's hands are painted, which gives him trouble fitting in the weapons... and I don't even understand why?? I can't imagine it was easy to paint the INSIDES of the hands, unless they literally just dipped the plastic in a bucket of paint. And obviously the paint there starts to chip as soon as you try to insert a weapon.

Kinda ironic that the most common complaint on /tfg/ is lack of paint, really.

Basically, they tried to "faitfully" recreate the look of the original G2 sets, on Superion this meant he has a ton of sections that will chip easily, Leokaiser has tons of paint issues, most of Computron's issues are on Scattershot (a very good chunk of him is painted, and it's easy to chip) and Nosecone (a number of new parts to the mold are painted, some in awful areas), and Bruticus doesn't have many issues since the camo paint is scattered pretty well (except on the Bruticus chest piece).

If the Bayformer designs where simply the next line after Cybertron, not even a movie, just the next toyline, the people who hd been following Transformers at the time would've at most, shrugged off the designs and just accepted it as the next stylistic change in a line that had seen plenty in the 10 years since then. The voice actors, one of which is black, have been on record as saying that the Twins were supposed to be basically dumb white kids trying to act all gangsta. They were young kids who were thrust amoung legendary soldiers and were acting like that trying to be badass and fit in. They didnt succeed but that was the point. In the end they DID manage to pull their weight in fighting Devastator

But the fandom prefers the "racist stereotype" because it rationalizes their "Anti-Bay" sentiments. They NEED excuses to rage about him and his movies. To this extent I think the fans are actually happy the Twins were like they were.

An "nice" post from seibertron forums in regards to titan masters replacing both target masters and head masters

Not by using another titan master as the weapon, why pull off hotrod's head for example when you can have the brawn TM and vehicle act in place, makes for a good "gotta buy them all" thing which looks good from a retail stand point, and kids would be switching heads around alot similar how in the japanese headmasters series how the main autobots would swap heads to share abilities and power, here you can "pretend" to give hotrod more physical power by swapping heads and swap back when you want hotrod piloting the show.

Smart in some ways, from a retailer standpoint, as well as the intended consumer ie a kid with a g1 eccentric parent who may encourage to grab a krok and apeface just because they remember the characters and show the kid a portion of the world he grew up in.

There are different fences on this subject.

Retools, from new accessories to just new heads are always a common theme with tools, action figures would be cheap to make because you can slap x head on body 3 and paint it differently and the only ones who complain are those who see that it may not fit supposedly.

For me personally with modern day transformers I anticipate "expected" repaints, the seekers will always be gladly be accepted (yes, I'm admitting g1 bias), for other cases it can differ.

For example, quake I don't mind as a redeco with a new head though I hope a new tank weapon is equipped (preferably one that makes him look like the older tank he was despite the hardhead H tank body) because the overall silhouette works quite well, krok I find lazy homages aside.

Even straxus and skullgrin I found lazy too back in generations, I dig the mold and attempts but something in the back of my mind irks me.

But really, I want more scourge to highbrow retools, they're robots, you can expect some sameness, but unless they're "related" via fiction (idw's take on starscream and jiaxus was a nice, if "excusing" touch) at least make them pop out in more than paint color and a new head

I like the unified theme of everyone being a headmaster. Makes more sense that Cyclonus saying only beastformers have to sacrifice their heads.

It makes me think that this is a step towards the concept of energy-conserving Maximals and Predacons, with all the G1 crew downsizing their bodies (helps that the Titan Masters are mini-versions of themselves).

I'm glad my collection is nearing completion with the headmasters, jumpstarters and clones getting toys, now I'm just waiting for the rest of the minibots and Decepticon combiners and I think I'll be about done with my Classics shelf, barring the occasional "hey remember this guy?" figs that are sure to still come out as time goes on. Eh guys first time here, I got a question about Beast Wars, so I hope I am correct here.

I am searching for a toy I had, but forgot its name.
I am not even sure if it was from beastwars, but it had clearly the sign from the evil/good guys.

It was huge, compared to the others, Had 3 Transformations, 2x Animal One Human. It was yellow-orange/black, looked like a demon and not like an animal. Also it had three spikes on his head which looked like Hairs. He also had yellow claws, three or 4 in the front on the back. 4 feet but could become bipedal.
