OK /toy/ what figures would you recommend for Metal Gear Solid and where can I find them for cheap?
>>6104791
Nothing is good or cheap.
As a pair these are fun although Snake isn't Figma's greatest effort. The Revol Minis are a lot of fun.
>>6104795
Any recommendations to something that's at least affordable?
>>6104801
Revo Mini Snake.
>>6104806
Yup
Revolminis are great, although i personally don't like the Solid Snake one very much. The Venom Snake and Grey Fox ones are some of my favorite figures though desu
the revo minis are the best IMO
i even like the stylized sculpt of the revo mini grey fox over the play arts kai sculpt.
i saw one in person and its not nearly as glorious as it looks in person, and it has a really odd scale. the revo minis are comparable in size to gi joes and look decent around most of my other figures. maybe its just me but anything taller than 5-6 inches looks clunky and out of place.
>>6104847
doesnt look as glorious as it does online*
I ordered the 1/12 venom snake, what am in for?
And how does it stand next to the solid snake figma?
>>6104892
Great figure, but limited/difficult hip articulation.
>>6104791
there are no cheap toys unless you want minis
Pic is extremely outdated.
got both nendo and revoltech 1/12 Venom since then.
not getting Mgs2 soldier (hes fucking $180 in my country) or any other set release past 2015
probably not bothering with getting anything else as the series is dead to me at this point
whatever you do dont get a PAK no matter how badly you might want a mgs toy
>>6105580
Play Arts Kai and Figma are the best ones imo.
just ignore the PAK Memers.
PAKs are really, really good.
Long shot, but I hope we get a Figma Naked Snake. One with a little more care into it than Solid. Final product seemed rushed
>>6104791
Revoltech if you can find it for a good price
>>6104791
Despite what some people say, I do enjoy the Mcfarlane figures.
>>6105589
I did ignore the pak memers.
worst mistake ive ever fucking made.
>PW Kaz and GZ snake at anime store in town
>impullse buy when they both were $200 each
>straight out of the box snakes hand joint snaps
>kaz leg keeps falling out
>kaz MSF head wouldn't even fit
put them back in their box and never touched them again.
ended up giving them away to my brother for free
>>6105593
>Quiet rerelease never ever
Why live
>>6105589
Nice pic but his left arm being bent backwards slightly bugs me
>>6104791
Nothing is cheap compared to its retail price, but Revolmini Snake and Grey Fox are hands down the best 2 MGS figures by far.
>>6106440
>200 each for some of the more common MGS paks
What the fuck, man.
Kaz is shit, he's got a weird arm joint system, I had to get a second one since the first one's arm snapped off. Also he had the floppy legs as well. This is the only major QC problem I've had with any of the MGS PAKs(well I did get a Skull Face with a lazy eye that I exchanged).
>>6105782
Speaking Revoltech
The Mini Solid Snake one is raising in price hardcore I know for a fact I bought mine for $25 new now im seeing that shit for $60 now.
>>6105589
>Play Arts Kai and Figma are the best ones imo.
Too bad the faces on both those figures look retarded.
>>6107006
not even for the common PAKs
Is the Variable Action D-SPEC REX any good? It's really the only one I can afford and I'd like to know if I should go for it or not.
>>6107013
Saw one go for 2500 yen on Mandarake a few days ago. Wish I grabbed it.
>>6105612
I want to see MGS1 Snake by figma or Revo.
They could do the whole MGS1 cast in 6" scale and they will be bought up left and fucking right.
