They're very nice. The whole time I was building mine, I thought it was stupidly overengineered for no real reason, but once it all came together - she easily has the best arm articulation of any figure I have. I'm still not sold on the free floating pelvis, though it does allow for more natural sitting and slouching. And coupled with the T-joint, much more rotational movement in the hips, which really helps for poses like reaching for an ammo pouch on her back or something.

While it's definitely the most fragile joint in the kit, it's not glass. Knowing that you need to baby it a bit, it /probably/ won't break with normal use, though 'taking a knee' poses might put some stress on it.

I don't see why brass wouldn't work, but it seems like a bit of effort that might not be required. I'd wait for it to break or just use some cut runners before doing that unless you were looking for an excuse to solder something.

Thanks, I ended up "ripping" them from my own bought digital copy of Feb's Comp Ace at the highest resolution I could manage. Now working on translating it.

Finished translating the 3rd "chapter" for Ultra Kotobuki Megamix first because of the recent holiday. Seemed appropriate.
We still need help with getting these out the door and it's really not all that much work because there's only 1 page per "chapter" past the first "chapter" which is 4 pages long.

Picked up my megami today. The package was absolutely SMASHED. The box is wrecked and the runners are bent. With amazing luck, the pieces themselves survived.

No regrets. MDs are everything I ever wanted from a shinki spiritual successor. My only complaint is that the hands fall off very easily.

Yeah, the wrists being easy to pop off was the one weakness to the kit I could immediately see. A tiny bead of super glue or some floor polish fixes it right up, however. Though you might want to be careful to not tighten it up too much since the joints are even thinner than materia wrists even if they give you 2 extra pairs.

You may want to consider pinning the hip t. Most common breakage point so far on twitter.

I didn't think I was being that confusing. Fort Bragg does not come with the missile pod that picture shows on the right shoulder, or the radar dish on her back, and her visor is different. They seem simple, so I will be trying to replicate it. Someone even made a resin kit of it in 2013, but I don't think that will be possible to find, so it'd be easier to just replicate. For loose sockets, I use a little bit of bluetack and add around the pegs to increase the dimension of the peg. This method helps me a lot for the past few months, including loose shoulder joints of the FAG before baselard

I Lost my ultra thin copics that i was using for panel lines and need to buy new markers.

Any opinions on what the best stuff to use is?

I was thinking of getting actual gundam markers, but i found an "ultra fine" listing that specifically said not for panel lining. (pic related)

I also found chisel tips with one ultra fine that said Good for panel lining!

can confirm, different plastics in shinkis do tend to shift differently. my vitulus' bracelets/feet used to match her bodysuit. not so much anymore and she's not exactly in a sunny/smokey environment.

the other thing to keep in mind about different plastics in different spots is that they also absorb light differently. photos always make that look a ton more pronounced, so that difference in that shot may not be noticable to the eye.
