Someone pointed it out in the fashion doll general but they probably one because then they're out of a princess line which is the only reason they're holding onto EAH anymore and two Enchantimals look like they took all the parts of the EAH pixies and shoved them onto the Chelsea body mold. They're cute but they're not princess enough to replace what they're trying to do with EAH.

Question: Was about 5 years a good run for a G1 of a doll line? I'm still amazed at what we get the detail and variety was outstanding. I mean they made over 75+ different characters that were all different in very important ways. They literally didn't have for the most part any two characters with the same face like at all. I'm just sad we will probably not it it's like for a very long time again.

I think the film and book line were more dead - as well as anything outside the dolls. I never noticed items that worked around MH selling out - books, movies, dresses, costumes, party favors etc. Even those ugly pony figures that they tried to do - shelf warmed like crazy. I myself only enjoyed/bought the newer minis and megablocks cause i think those are nice looking - and they interest me (i love lego and small items like polly pocket etc.)

It might be odd to say - but i love the reboot art for the new films. I however miss the old flash style art of the mini youtube vids - and enjoyed the sweet and dumb puns they had in them. There was a lot of silly back story, character, and mini stories in those youtube vids.

I've been really disappointed. The change in body shape actually came out cuter than I anticipated, but the joints have all been shit on the dolls I bought, and every doll suffers from awkward gapping at the hip joint. Also, the left arm on my Catrine keeps falling out, and the right hand on my Rochelle is almost as loose.

The knees are also really big and ugly like EAH dolls, which is annoying. They hold a pose better than the original knee though, so I guess that's just the compromise? I doubt I'll be buying more reboot dolls unless they're severely on sale. I didn't pay more than $8 for any of the Shriekwrecked ghouls because I was sceptical, and I'm now glad that that was the case, given how disappointed I am.

I was excited when I read about these lines coming out, but the photos/videos that have surfaced just shit me to tears. Treesa had me really hopeful for a cool dryad, but the body-growing gimmick and that awful pink hair mean I won't be buying her until I've seen someone else's doll without that minidress on. And if the torso's hideous due to the growth gimick, I won't buy her at all.

The only thing I consider a positive from this line is the fact that Toralei's nose is finally the same as the other werecats/her animated look, which was weirdly missing from every other doll of hers in G1.

True, he's not super elaborate but there was a lot more effort put into him than into Robecca. His clothes are all individual, layerable pieces with molded buttons, and his robo arm and the buckles on his spats got some paint to make them pop. Robecca just got hosed with metallic paint and put in a G2 tier outfit.

I have a cute story from today. I was on register at work, and a mother and her daughter came in, she was older teens/early twenties, and had a Pinky Cooper doll. They rly messed up with making this reboot. Ari could have had a two dolls set - one with her human form and one with her ghost form. In fact - they could have done that with Clawdeen and Draculaura - had them in their creature/animal forms and then regular forms.

They rly dont know how to make dolls for any of their movies, missed opportunities and better large sets that could have made them money.

I did read. They said that Ghoulia's profile was updated to reflect G2...and it is. She has the "How Do You Boo?" whatever on there, as does Spectra.
