I have the Rotj maxfex and love it. Playing with it right now. Mine came with several very minor issues that seem to be across the board, but otherwise it's fantastic.

The hoses from his gauntlet don't stay in his arm and the range finder on the side of his helmet will not stay in the up position. I was able to fix both of these issues with ease.

No loose joints like some previous Mafex releases. It's an awesome figure

Hoth Hoth Hoth every day Hoth. It's probably her best outfit next to endor, and the second most recognizable past the ANH dress. It got mentioned several times in that survey a couple weeks ago, so hopefully it's in the pipeline after the lando/tusken raider wave.

I would happily buy them because I loved the film, but holy fuck Hasbro phoned in Jyn and Cassian. They look worse than alot of the 3.75" figures. Definitely wait to see if Figuarts or MAFEX does them.

K2SO on the other hand is one of the better Black series releases. I love him. Sturdy despite being so lanky, great range of motion, and accurate size. The figuarts one is too small, even compared to other figuarts. I don't know if technically the black series K2 beats the figuarts one, but I think once you factor in the cost, it is certainly the better value.

And to comment on their other Rogue One stuff...why the fuck does Krennic not have a cloth cape? And why the fuck is the Death Trooper specialist a 3 pack exclusive? Who puts army builders in 3 packs with 2 other non-army builders?

Well this is the first Figuarts trooper I've had, and I'm not impressed. It's kinda cheap and hollow feeling. It doesn't have much weight to it. It's awesome looking, but it's not heavy or beefy. So if you're gonna get one, it looks great on a shelf, but it feels cheap.

I got a Force FX lightsaber for Christmas (anakin/lukes) but the lights and sounds don't work. Obviously due to the fact it was a gift I can't return it so I contacted Hasbro and asked for a replacement. They said they didn't have any in stock to replace (this is hasbro UK btw) but have a few black series (probably peg warmers and non desirables) so long as I sent it back so they could destroy it.

Anyway, I didn't want to send it back because apart from the light and sound someone could have some fun with it and I'm planning to put it in the charity shop. I've told hasbro this and by now I'm not expecting them to send something if I'm not sending it back, but did I do a good thing?

Probably the model kit, it's the cheapest and comes with the riot gear. The figuarts heavy gunner comes with the mounted gun and ammo belts, and is floating around 5K on mandarake though.

Just got my Figuarts Mace Windu. Incredible figure. 2 things though

1. His headsculpts are almost identical. Both are sort of a slight scowl, with one being slightly more angry than the other. I just feel like they are too samey. They should have done one with him yelling.

2. High lightsaber is too transparent. You can see other figures straight through it, which makes it seem more like glass than a lightsaber.

I finally got my hands on a black series death trooper, and I see what everyone was talking about, dude's lanky as hell. It's nice to see they finally nailed how to make hips work even with pouches in front of the legs, but I'm probably gonna dump him for the figuarts.

Also, thanks to whoever recommended the black series vehicles in the last thread. I got krennic's shuttle and the cargo shuttle, and they're both really nice. They're way more detailed than I was expecting, and all the moving parts are really nice. These are probably the first toys I can remember where the actual in hand thing is far better than the official product shots.

Finally unboxed the ANH Luke I got in the sale from Nippon Yasan last month.

Not sure which one I like more between him and the ROTJ version. The gold hair doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would, still boggles the mind why Bandai thought it was a good idea though. The creepy smiling face is a strange choice too.

There isn't one. The Black Series one is one of their worst releases. Some people used to sell custom robes for him since the originals were laughably bad, but even still, his headsculpt is derpy looking.

Him and Dooku square off in that scene and they're both the same height. Christopher Lee is 6'5" and Dooku is 6'4"

Actor heights are embellished and only the canon heights really matter.

They should be fine for stand-ins as regular Troopers.

Han is on the normal Trooper body, except he has a different, more accurate neckpiece, which Luke also has.

Luke's a little short for a Stormtrooper, as he should be. He has a different torso sculpt that makes him shorter than Han or the regular Stormtrooper figures. His belt is also a different sculpt, featuring a removable comlink and a sculpted in grappling hook.

And the figures don't have an alternate Stormtrooper head, they're actually just helmets that go over their heads, which makes them slightly too big but not terrible.

Their OT Stormtrooper has some really weird proportions. My only other gripe is with the way they attach the shoulder armor to the chest piece on every figure. In some cases it works fine, others no so much.

You may have gotten a bad one, but most reviews I've read about the Star Wals figures, and my own experience with them have been nothing but positive. It's only figures with human heads that get a bit sketchy, but that's also true with the real black series figures.

If you want it bad enough, look into having someone customize one for you. I've seen people do some pretty solid work on turning the blank figuarts bodies into marvel stuff.

Had to spend awhile getting it just right, but I glued the sides to the plastic part of his upper robe, then glued the insides of the hood to hold how they do on the edges, and then glued the back of the hood in one spot to the plastic robe-cape-thing so that it sits just right.

Took some patience to make it perfect, but it's well worth it. Especially for the increase in articulation.

All the old BS figures at GameStop are on clearance. They're like $12 each, AND buy one get one free. Just got 6 figures for $42 after tax. Revan wave isn't included

Really interested in the Bandai Movie Realization line of samurai styled figures. Most stores have them at MSRP around $60 - $80 each, but there's a ton of sellers on ebay sellung them for 20 to 30 bucks each including shipping, but they're all sellers from China, so I'm worried they're going to be bootlegs or knock-offs. Anybody know if Chinese sellers on ebay can be trusted on this stuff? The prices are worth taking advantage of if they are legit.
