Ugh... You know I hate to say it, but matchbox has some shit molds... This casting of both the Jeep (highly exaggerated, which I hate) and the Lamborghini, both..um..suck. The Lambo is a bit better, only because it's a much more realistic mold, but still it's just very boring.... the only thing I do like about it, is that it's matte finish.

, Jeep Trailhawk! Okay, I actually like this truck in real life... The real life Cherokee trailhawk, has TWO things not on this toy. It has a black hood stripe, and it has very distinctive red tow hooks... NEITHER of which are on the matchbox...I was...disappointed... It's a nice casting, and nicely painted, but it's missing two of the trailhawks trademarks.

This is probably one of my favs along with the FairLady, Jaguar, and the Warthog... I actually like this car in real life as well. I just wish it wasn't in white. I hope to see this same casting later on in different colors.

I mistakenly forgot to take the pic of these guy's boxes, but it's the Chrysler 300 ( red) and the Infiniti G37 ( grey)

Both are comparable in quality. Both have front and rear headlights and rear insignias... I like the G37 a bit better just as a car in real life.

Here's the Nissan 370z... I've said my piece of the quality of all white hot wheels.. they just lack detail. The red and blue stripes help a bit, plus the wheels on this guy are pretty large, but still in a non cartoony, realistic way, so overall i'm pleased with it

Top of the roof and hood have some chipping.
That being said... this model actually has a really really neat detail. You probably can't see it, but on the grill, inside, there's actually the mustang cobra logo stamped on there. That's pretty impressive to be honest

So I ended up not opening the Jetson's car...it's tiny, no real point. Anyway I got this from target last week, but didn't post it. It's a Target exclusive actually (note the red edition on the side!) Really cool paint job on the hood.

I just hate how when I take pics of red cars, they come out more orangy..I need better lighting.

Thanks! These were passed down to me from my uncle, and I can assure you he got a lot of play time out of these. The Red baron is my favorite, so I'm probably going to try to clean it up. Luckily the paint hasn't been torn up so all it will probably take is some deoxidation of the chrome helmet as well as straightening the axles, but to be fair 7 out of these 9 need their axles straightened. The Heavy Chevy is the one with the chipped racing stripes, and the red one with the hood up is the 280SL.

Since no one has given you a resource for price I'll chime in. Truth is there really isn't a singular good source for prices on classic HW since the collecting market fluctuates. Based on what I can see in the pics your original redlines are very clean, which helps the value a lot. All the colours are pretty common, but I'd say that they're worth between $25-$45 a piece. Unfortunately your red baron is a 25th anniversary edition, so that diminishes the value a lot. It and the rest of the non-redlines are worth about $5 a piece.

I would recommend putting the things on a white background, it looks like your camera tries to compensate too much for the black background and uses too much light on the car, plus the larger aperture results in a more blurry subject

A white background can even be as simple as just a larger piece of paper or something a little more elaborate like this (you can make out of a cardboard box)

Hello. I never had a hot wheels car in my childhood, and always thought that they made only a wacky and overly futuristic cars. But then I found a classic 60th batmobile and bought it right away. So now I really like this cars, they are surprisingly well-made and detailed. Bought two more today - Porsche 356 and 69' Dodge Charger. I really thinking about starting a collection.

Hey congrats and good on you! I'm OP here and the main one posting the pics here, and as you can see there's a ton of cars that aren't whacky and cheesy. Those are the ones that I collect. I save the whacky ones for the kiddies. They don't interest me. So in short, you should start a collection! Display 'em, get small track going and race. It's a fun hobby, even if you just keep them for display. The Porsche 356 is a nice one.

Wow you have some good timing, I was at Walmart yesterday (and met a fellow collector) and their bin is filled with really really ratty, bent, and folded cards. I got a few for like 30 cents off... Pics of them incoming...
