Are there some good ANH/TESB/ROTJ comparision pictures? I can only find a wall of text opinion piece and some shitty, tiny photos where you can't spot any real details or where they make a puppet wear a costume (that may or may not be a fan replica) and isn't even worn properly like the blinking belt boxes hanging off the sides of his hips.

The helmet comparsions are easy to find but the rest of the outfit looks the same everywhere with exception of the chest plates being darker/lighter and ANH/Rogue One Vader wearing a piece of cloth above the chestplate and in other movies under it.

The only main difference I know of is that his under cape went over his shoulder armor in some scenes in Star Wars and was always under them in the other movies.

Rogue One or OT, thats currently on shelves.

ROTS is the worst Vader costume, especially the helmet.
Rogue One / ANH costume is nice but Mafex fucked it up with the cloth under the armor when that was the most noticeable detail of the Rogue One / ANH Version so might as well just buy the current OT one for like 40 bucks, at least it's accurate wto what it's supposed to be.

My favorite is still the model kit though because of the helmet, still have to get a real cape though.

I saw a site once that went over the differences extensively, but I'm having trouble finding it. The changes are mostly minor, but the suit definitely got a lot sleeker and better proportioned in TESB and ROTJ. The armor was shinier as well.

Maybe the cinematography has something to do with it, but he just looked way way cooler in the sequels.

What sort of shitty-ass models have you been handling? I have a few of the Bandai kits, both Star Wars and other series, and none of them have been particularly fragile. The worst that might happen during a fall is a limb popping off. I can get not wanting to deal with the assembly process - that's part of the fun for some folks, but not everyone's cup of tea - but the end result isn't any more fragile than any other figure.

It was probably a mandated thing. The Hot Toys figure initially didn't have lightsaber as well, and they only seemed to include it after the movie had already come out. Unless I'm mistaken, the same thing seems to be happening with the BS Rogue One Vader and how they haven't shown it wielding a lightsaber.
