"Stiff Rex", Hasbro in their insane wisdom took out the articulation on one of the Captain Rex's figures they made from TCW. His legs had no articulation but the rest looked great. It's just really annoying getting it out of the packaging to discover this.

He's good but I think with your pic in mind, you're better of using Scourge as the base.

Same mold for the most part except for his head/shoulders and even then, the shoulders are molded in silver so it actually fits with your intended character better.

Anyone else think the green for the new Green Goblin's head/neck is a little too dark? Thinking of repainting it to match the lighter tone of the metallic green on his limbs.

Now mind you, I'm fine with anime, but it doesn't really belong on a Tony Stark/IM figure. Also, his face looks shiny as fuck. I'd say that would be an acceptable face for a figure maybe 1/2~1/3 their asking price.

I bought the Mafex Mk. 43, and it was a pretty bad Iron Man figure. The worst part was the open mask, because my had the crazy-eye syndrome, and also errant brown paint right on the type of his nose, so it looked like he had just dipped his snout in shit. Also, the legs and hips were floppy as fuck.

The Mark 43 was like a 6500 Yen figure, and you can buy it used for less than $20 on eBay.

The Figuarts Tony Stark had a great face and cost about 2000 Yen less. Then again, that was just a straight-up head, and not an open mask. I've yet to really see anyone do that very good.

The standard Figma Mk. 7 didn't come with an open mask. IIRC you had to buy the 10000Yen+ Online exclusive Full Spec version to get all that.

Though it seems like no one really wanted that either, because Amiami has some at grade A (which is more or less brand new, unopened, they just bought it off someone else) that they can't sell at just over 7000 Yen.

Was also very surprised with how awesome the figures themselves were too. I already had Wolvie and Rogue, but I'm really enjoying the other X-Men as well (Iceman in particular, very neat looking in-hand). And Cable is downright amazing, very impressed with him. That's what I did with Space Venom a few weeks ago. Initially had no interest in completing the wave, I even bought the two I knew I had to have, the Ultimate Spideys, loose initially. But Walmart has the entire wave for like $9-$11 each and I was thinking about getting Silk, Electro, and Hobgoblin anyway, so I just got all of them, even buying a dupes of each Spidey. Oh tell me about it.... their bodies are absolute trash and stitching in clothing often sucks. I had one figure that felt like the stitching in the sleeves was going to rip out every time I raised the arms. The weird part is, the uniform was generally tailored for a much bulkier body than the one used so it was mostly a loose fit, but the armpit stitching was too tight.

At bare minimum you have to buy a replacement body for a SS figure. Even the $25 off-brand bodies are better quality.

For the Iron Men, it depends on which design you like more. Figure-wise, I'd say the AoU one is better as it's articulation is somewhat better, but I like both overall.
The Caps are the same figure with a slightly darker paint job on the CW one, really, though the AoU one comes with more accessories in the form of alternative hands and a head if I remember correctly, while I'm sure the CW one is more easily available by now.

That body is still weak, and he's got no business being as tall as rhino, but the arms are make him absolutely killer. I just wish he had better hips and ankles. Probably a macro lense.
Zooming up close to anything will highlight all issues and tiny details. In this case, the dots from the printing. A detail you generally won't see in person unless you press your eye up close to the figure.

Though if you take that image and zoom it out to the rough size of a actual 1/12 scale head, the grain disappears and it looks much closer to how it does in hand. I guess it's an issue if you plan for quite close photos of Tony but works perfectly for display reasons.

My local Target store had a bunch of Legends on sale. All of the Odin Wave stuff that was left was around $7. I picked up Captain Marvel and Hawkguy since I never ended up grabbing them, and they also had White Iron Fist and a shit ton of Sentry and Machine Man.

They also had a few other ones on some what sale, like Enchantress from the new Strange series for $14.

Most other stuff was regular price. Your mileage will probably vary though.

His figure's legs were hugely warped for some reason, and the like, thigh swivels are extremely loose as well, I think it was just bad luck on his end as the worst things have been for me with that mold is joints that are too stiff.
And yeah, I really dig the body they used for him, made me really regret not getting Marvel NOW Cap as I think those are the same base molds. It was my boy the Jackal, he was the only new one, and the one I wanted most from that wave.

just bought an Ultimate Spider-Man marvel legends figure. Compared to the Pizza Spidey, the blue paint looks very faded and mottled, and there seems to be "scoring marks" on the legs.

Anyone with a Ultimate Spidey figure can comment if this is a regular occurrence?

OK,I just checked and I have similar marks on mine, but only in the exact same spot on the thigh, oddly enough. I couldn't even see it without looking at it directly under a light though.

And I know what you mean about the marbleization, but I'm not seeing it here. Like, there are some imperfections and wear in the plastic, but nothing too crazy. I looked at miles and he's got a similar thing going on.
