two of my predators over the years broke on me and instead of returning them I would just put them away in hopes of fixing them someday. With time off for the holidays I decided to finally sit down and do what I thought would be a good solution so here he is. If the two designs I decided to go with Big Red since it was unique compared to the AvP young blood.

Just got my first ever neca alien figure today. I must say I love this thing, it's far more articulated than I expected and looks menacimg as fuck.

Are there any must haves from the alien line? And how's the old aliens mold? Heard they tend to have leg problems
>>
>>6082142
give them ALL accordions and it ties together.
>>
>>6082824
The Dog Alien is the next best one. I'd pass on any Big Chaps or Warriors right now though. NECA tweeted that they were getting upgrades in the future. There's nothing really wrong with them (though I find that some tend to have stuck or already broken ankles), and the best Big Chap should be readily available at the moment. It comes in a window box so it's easy to spot.
>>
>>6081903
It was TGRI in the movie dammit
>>
>>6082824
Dog Alien is also fantastic, great articulation, than there are the marines in case you want a few humans to fight them, Vasquez looks really badass and Hudson's "GAME OVER MAN!" face is hilarious.
People who like the AvP Xeno usually also like the Predators.
>>
>>6082830
Wouldn't be a NECA if they didn't get one obvious thing wrong.

At least the figure itself looks great.
>>
>>6082833
It wasn't TGRI in the first movie. That was changed for the sequel.

>>
>>6082773
Yeah, I would have ideally used the upgraded version of original body since he used the same mold as the city hunter but since I made it from two broken figures this was just a solution for having at least one good figure. Not sure what to do with the left over AVP parts, I'm open to suggestions!

>Any tips on picking up the main figures?
>By Main I mean main characters/aliens/predators.

NECA has the two classic first Predators coming out in "ultimate" form soon, Big Chap and the Warriors are pretty easy to find, and the humans from Alien they've made so far should be readily available still. I wouldn't pay more than retail for any, especially since I picked up most at clearance prices.

Go to toyark.com they review a bunch of NECA releases and repost like all their press releases, PR material, and solicitations.
>>
>>6083200
This is a silly question but by Big Chap do you mean the Classic Predator? and by Warriors you mean the 3 new ones- Berserker, Tracker, Hunter.?

What is the retail for these? I'm in the UK.

>>
>>6083106
The super predator mold looks good, but has very poor pose-ability. Biggest offender is his rubber ankles that prevent him from holding his own body weight in any pose that isn't standing straight. luckily he looks awesome standing straight.
He is like a knock off compared to scarface though.
>>
>>6083417

He looks awesome but since i've bought a pred using the avp bodies I don't think I could go back to buying the older styled ones anymore. Would seem like too much of a step back.
>>
>>6083417
Is that a double jointed elbow I see?
Damn man, when did NECA improve their articulation.
>>
>>6083417
I've always wondered if predators eat humans, i mean, they hunt humans for sport, ok, but they do eat meat and it's not like they require to skin their victims to reach the skull/spine, that looks like something you would do to a dear to avoid ruining the leather before cutting the meat.
>>
>>6083428
Now with the Kenner Preds, but as far as i know they did it thinking of the Ultimate Jungle and City Hunter.
>>
>>6083426
To be fair only the bottom half is old style. Top half is better than the AVP top half, at least as far as range of motion goes.

So exactly how big is NECA's stuff? I've mostly only messed around with their kaiju stuff, which of their humanoids scale with other 6" lines? I have kratos and he's completely fuckhuge, but their hots stuff actually works alright with figuarts and legends.

Does anyone have a pic of predators/aliens marines/etc with other 6" toys?
>>

Depending on how scale nazi-ish you are, most of their figures could be integrated into Legends at least.
I mean Nuke is the same size as NECA's Terminators, which I feel is believable scale.

his plasmacaster is pretty rad and can be attached to his wrist. Also, his hair is bendy
>>
>>6085018
Give his elbows and knees a 30 second dip in some boiling water to make sure you don't break anything.

The joints can be stiff when you first take him out of the packaging, this goes for any Neca figure but especially ones based on older body molds.
>>
My gorilla, mantis and queen wave came today.

Be carful with the claws on mantis. Take some time when you get him to rotate the claws around and around at the wrists to work them in.

I'll aviod the gory details of what happend because I think everyone knows by now what to expect when neca uses extremely small joints and has paint inside the joint.

kinda bummed, mantis is far and away my favorite from this wave...time to get a return order going

Depends on the plastic and how hot your water is. After the last shitstorm over this I looked at the melting points for all different kinds of plastics, and between that and the anons that have actually ruined their toys thanks to hot water, I can't say I agree with your methods.

Alright Neca general, I can't take it anymore.

I really, truly, wanted to love this line, but after this shit, I don't think I'll be sticking around.

First, one of the shoulder armor bits pops off.
Then I notice the bottom waist is splitting, leading to loose legs.
Then one of the legs pops out
Then the armor comes off said leg while I try to fit it back in
Then the other leg pops off
Then I loose faith in Neca as a manufacturer

Should I try and return it to toys r us and spend a little more to get the predator+alien 2 pack or should I drop the line altogether?

Hairdryers? They're less hot than boiling water.
As i said, nothing is easier than stucking a mug full of water into the nuker and receiving boiling water, then leaving your figure inside it.
Only thing faster than boiling water is fire and you're certainly not going to use that on your figure to loosen something.

I was the one with a figure that had a bad reaction to boiling water. I got it pretty hot to pop his arm joint out at the bicep since it was stuck there. That's nice in theory, but you can't just set and forget it.
To get a specific point using a hair dryer, you need to set up a stand or use your hand the entire time to get to the offending part.
With a mug of boiling water, you just dangle the area inside mug and the rest of the figure is supported by the rim.

Of course, if you're anal like me, you just slosh the entire figure inside hot soapy water and wash it to get rid of the lube.

>>>6085568
This can happen depending on the paint and heat of the water. The white stuff is from the varnish being heated and why you always want to spot check. I have the arcade Foot and didn't have this happen on me.
But the other guy was saying it damaged the plastic.
To avoid damage, you can just use warm water, which is still hotter and permiates the plastic thoroughly than a hair dryer
>>

>>

>That's nice in theory, but you can't just set and forget it.

That's exactly what I do. I play on my phone or find something else to do while it heats. Like, I seriously just popped off the entire crotch and leg assembly with ease to get these parts moving. It was great. Now my Clan Leader has working thigh swivels. Fabulous.

I don't know why you think these things need to be so hot. They're not assembled at that temp, so why would you need it to be that hot just to loosen or pop a part?
>>
>neca fans actually argue about the best way to fix their terrible qc figures right out of the box.

On that note, team hair dryer all the way.
>>
>>6085687
Watch out, this is what leads to the "you have to fix every toy" argument.

Which reminds me, before I opened and then had to take apart Clan Leader, I opened up the Gorilla Xeno and it's hands down my favorite Alien toy now. It's so blue and gnarly looking. Love the hands and the weird elbows. If it had knee swivels like Grid it'd be the best one yet.
>>
>>6085677
How do you keep the piece from moving though? Do you use a stand? Or just hold it and look away?
Nothing is easier than just dipping something into a mug of hot water.
>>
>>6085707
In this particular case, I set the figure down on the counter with the blow dryer pointed at it and turned it on. It's not like it's going to blow away. Smaller pieces I'll set on a towel to keep it from moving.

And yes, while simply dipping something into water is easy, that doesn't make the entire process easier than putting a figure in front of a blow dryer and flicking the switch, which is the entire process in that case.
>>
>>6085710
>setting hair dryer laying down next to figure laying down
>most heat is dissspated upwards above the figure and the place you want to actually heat
...
Sounds like it'll take forever.
A lot of wasted energy and blow dryers use up more juice than microwaves too.

Seriously, far easier to just nuke a mug and dunk the figure.
>>
>>6085720
It took a minute and it worked great.

You could try it instead of making all kinds of whacky assumptions about it or acting like anyone is concerned with the amount of energy used for a minute. It's seriously so easy. By the time your water's hot I'm already done. Plus, no fishing hot toys out of hot water. Plus, no water to get rid of. Seriously though, blow dryer method requires one item. Your method requires multiple. There's literally no way it could be considered easier.

It's fine if it works for you. How you warm your toys doesn't affect me. The efforts you're making to justify your method is a little silly though.

I think i know how shit works because I'm not dumb and that's why i use nuked water.

Doing it like you said requires more work, because it's not something i can just be lazy about.
It costs more and getting a stand of some sort is harder than just placing it in a mug.
I can even leave the mug in the microwave for a couple of minutes and it's still going to be hotter than a hair dryer.

Sorry, but i'm lazy/efficient and using a hair dryer is very dumb, unless I'm actually working on something delicate.

And why do you keep saying this over and over? It doesn't matter. You don't need it to be that hot. It's soft plastic. You could probably turn your A/C off in the summer and you'd see that it doesn't take a lot of heat to make these things soften up.

Anyway, inconvenience aside, now that I've got everything attached where it should be and have full use of all the articulation, I gotta say this is probably my new favorite Predator. Might just stop buying them now cause this is too sick to keep disappointing myself with lesser predators.
>>
>>6085750
A stand is required if i need to heat up a hip, shoulder, or knee joint.
Just placing it on the floor isn't going to get into the socket. It needs to get in there directly, otherwise it takes forever to heat.

You act like I haven't messed around with this shit. I have and it's why i stick with boiling water.
It gets everywhere and transfers the heat faster.

What you're advocating tells me that you're actually holding onto your toys or the hair dryer 95% of the times you've done it.

You say I use more equipment, yep, but it's far easier to set up and i can leave it alone for nearly forever. The mug/water will retain heat for at least 10 minutes, so you can just do whatever you want and then you can leave the toy in the mug for your entire life time. Nothing is lazier/easier than this.

And i don't live in an armpit, so it's rare that anything but the inside of my car will get hot enough to affect my plastic toys. Shit will discolor from the UV rays before it softens.

One minute or less. No stand. Hot enough. I don't know why you have such trouble wrapping your head around this.

Now do the shoulder socket

Not every figure is able to sit up, do a head stand, or lay down just right just so you can point it at the specific socket, you know.
In fact, because of stuck joints, they're usually incapable of rudimentary positions.
>>
>>6085864
Do you really need a picture of it laying down on it's side? I'm not going to go upstairs just to tip a figure over so you can see a picture of it. I'm sure there's situations where you can't dip a certain part in a mug. Or toys bigger than mugs. I don't know why you're trying to argue about this.
>>
>>6085879
No, it was rhetorical.
I know you can cherry pick whatever toy you want to exemplify what you're trying to prove, but real life doesn't work that way.

Point is, you can't always get to the socket you want to get to because that's just how stuck joints are, muchless pose it, and will take longer than it would with just hot water.

Also, with hot water, you can do multiple toys at once.
>>
>>6085885
>Also, with hot water, you can do multiple toys at once.

I removed the boots of two different Steve Austin figures and the head from another all at once with a blow dryer like a week ago.

I don't know why you'd point out cherry-picking when I only did it to point how you doing it with the whole "not every figure can do this or that" when literally all it has to do is sit still and have heat blow at it. Every figure can do that.

And it still takes less time than grabbing a cup, filling it with water, waiting for it to microwave, and then waiting for your toy to soak in it.

Like... if you actually did any of this you'd know it. You'd know you wouldn't need a stand which for some reason you can't get over. It's never once occurred to me that that would be something I'd need.

But again, you're spending more time doing that, especially if you try to just leave it there where the majority of the heated air escapes upward.
How can you even do multiple steve austins at once without holding the hair dryer?

>all it has to do is sit still and have heat blow at it. Every figure can do that.
yeah, that's nice if you want to heat the entire figure. Take this figure for instance. You want to get to his shoulder joint? Not possible by just laying him on his side, without heating the outer shoulder first. Takes a lot of time and wastes a lot of energy.

Hot water just requires you to leave the shoulder dunked in and everything the water touches will turn rubbery, even inside.
This doesn't take less time with a hair dryer, even when taking the time to nuke water for 30 seconds.

Who cares if a majority of the heat goes up? Clearly enough goes where I want it to.

Seriously? I stacked them.

Who cares? Do you think something bad is going to happen? As for Stitches, I don't know how you think you're going to get just the shoulder in a cup. That's a big figure. Gonna need a big cup. Or you can just... point heat at it. I JUST picked that figure up today but decided it was too big and I don't even know what it's from, but I can't imagine how you think somehow dunking the shoulder into hot water is somehow easier than pointing air at it and how is water not heating the outer shoulder too? Can you draw me a diagram please?

> I'm not breaking this down again.
LOL, you mean overcomplicate it? Do you leave your hairdryer always plugged in? How about your microwave? How long does it take you to get a cup and fill it with water? How long does it take you to plug shit in?
They're both effortless, requiring next to no thought, and you're spending 30 seconds waiting for the cup to heat up. That's it.
>Who cares if a majority of the heat goes up?
Because this takes longer. Wastes more energy and my time.
>Seriously? I stacked them.
So less hot air is going through and around them? More time wasted. More wasted energy.
>Who cares?
Again, this takes longer. MUCH longer, considering how thick the plastic is and can be.
>I don't know how you think you're going to get just the shoulder in a cup
You just stick his shoulder in there. Pretty easy. Mug too small? You have a bowl, right?

>I can't imagine how you think somehow dunking the shoulder into hot water is somehow easier than pointing air at it and how is water not heating the outer shoulder too?
The difference is that the entirety of the water is heated. Any and all water that gets into the joint is heated and heats the plastic inside it.
With a hair dryer, the AIR is heated and gets less hot the further distance it goes. Since you're only blowing air, it means you HAVE to heat outer plastic FIRST and that transfers heat to the inner plastic. Very little air is going to hit the inner shoulder joint. MUCH longer time wasted.

>What the fuck you clearly have not done this before or you'd know that!
Sure is projecting.
You have no idea of how water transfers heat and how easy it is.
There's a reason why they create cheap fast already made food that can be BOILED and not cheap fast already made food that you stick in a fucking wasteful heated fan kitchen equipment thing.
And no, a convection oven isn't the same thing as even a heat gun.

Hunger Games and Intersteller werent enough?
>>
>>6086311
>Intersteller

Oh man I've seen those things dropped to 75% off or more and, yesterday, BOGO clearance and still nobody wants them

Someone should check the NECA twitter for all the times they've written off a property as "too niche."
>>
>>6086311
>>6086317

Hunger Games and Intersteller were for different markets, not for you. You can whine about it all you want, but there are people that buy those. Especially Hunger Games.

>Someone should check the NECA twitter for all the times they've written off a property as "too niche."

Those aren't "too niche" at all. They're out when the movies are out. When it comes to Hunger Games, and how hugely popular it was, those figures were to market to the tweens. Same with the Twilight figures. YOU aren't the ones meant to buy the figures, dingus.
>>
>>6086340

> Those aren't "too niche" at all.

I didn't say they were. Read.

> YOU aren't the ones meant to buy the figures

And the people who were supposed to buy them didn't. Weird how that works.
>>
>>6086348
>Well they certainly weren't for people who buy toys.

Exactly dipshit. They're for people that fawn over those properties and put them on their dresser.

>but not armored batman from bvs; theyre retarded

Yeah, they're retarded for having a successful business, where's yours? Everyone's doing armored Batman, there's no shortage of it. They didn't see the point in throwing in another version of that...especially from a shitty movie like BvS.
>>
>>6086026
See, this >>6086340 is projecting. Notice how the posts they're replying to are instantly dismissed by the anon as "whining" when it could never be interpreted as such by anyone other than someone mad that anyone would imply that NECA made a poor business decision by pointing out the peg warming nature of the toys from those properties.

I don't think ANYBODY here cares one way or another if they make toys for movies outside of the NECA niche. Make it, don't make it, who cares?

And yet, here you are being a bitch about it. "Oh waaah more pegwarmers!"

If it pegwarms, who gives a shit? It's not from a property you care about, it doesn't bother you. Then quit being a cunt.
>>
>>6086353
>Exactly dipshit. They're for people that fawn over those properties and put them on their dresser

Which would quite literally make them people who buy toys at that point. You're making a lot of assumptions about the fanbase of those movies and getting really hostile about it. Take a chill pill.
>>
>>6086360
>You're making a lot of assumptions about the fanbase of those movies

Kind of like you?
>>
>>6086359
>"Oh waaah more pegwarmers!"

It says "oh great more pegwarmers." Quit projecting your baby rage onto people who just wanna shoot the shit about NECA toys in a NECA thread on an image board for cartoons.

Like, you're just sitting there lobbing insults at people because they dared to comment about toys that nobody's even seen yet. Get over it bro. Nobody cares about this but you.
>>
>>6086354
Its astoundingly arrogant of you to think it's a "poor business decision" just because you don't care for a property.

If it was really so bad, NECA would have folded a while back. I think you overestimate your understanding of business and your anecdotal evidence. Just sayin'.
>>
>>6086361
What, that they didn't buy toys? That's not an assumption based on the fans, but one that's based on the mountains of unsold Hunger Games figures people have seen over the years.
>>
>>6086363

"Oh great more pegwarmers" yeah, there's so many ways to interpret that, isn't there?
>>
>>6086366

And yet it was successful enough a line to continue into several waves. You're talking about the little black girl nobody wanted that TRU overordered, which doesn't affect NECA at all. TRU takes that hit, they've already paid NECA for the product.
>>
>>6086364
>just because you don't care for a property.

I liked both Hunger Games and Interstellar, but whatever. Nice assumption again.

Nobody thinks it's "so bad that NECA would fold." We're all people who give NECA money all the time. Clearly they're doing okay even if some products are a flop. That's how most business work.
>>
>>6086363

>>
>>6086373

Several Bioshock figures went on clearance, and now you'd be lucky to even find those for a decent price.
>>
>>6086371
>which doesn't affect NECA at all. TRU takes that hit, they've already paid NECA for the product.

That might be true for Hunger Games and the massive amounts of unsold figures, but that's not the case normally for NECA which is why their system and relationship with TRU is so weird. Randy tweeted about pulling product from a few TRU stores because people were stealing and TRU didn't do anything about it. If it was TRU taking the loss there and NECA was already paid, they wouldn't care and wouldn't have taken it as them being personally stolen from. Makes sense, since NECA releases aren't in the TRU system the way other lines are.

Ancient Predator's pretty awesome, just about any of the AvP figures are pretty astounding figures. Definitely pick him up.
>>
>>6086367
You could just take it as it is instead of projecting your negative feelings on someone else's words. What you infer and what they imply could be two separate things. Next time instead of assuming the worst, count to three, breathe, and think if that's really something you want to get aggro over.
>>
>>6086381
>Makes sense, since NECA releases aren't in the TRU system the way other lines are.

Yeah, and now they've got that weird setup where the NECA rep is supposed to come in and stock the product. Which I personally don't like, because in 98% of my experiences, store reps are shits that don't know the product, or care, or are just flat out terrible.

In my time working at TRU, only the Mattel rep knew what she was doing and was happy to do it. The Hasbro rep was a sleepy coke head, the Xbox rep was a dick, the Playstation rep never showed up, the Nintendo rep was awesome and gave me free goodies, the Spinmaster reps sucked and always demanded more space for their bullshit Beyblades or Bakugon...ugh.
>>
>>6086386

You need to get laid, dude.
>>
>>6086371
>You're talking about the little black girl nobody wanted

No I'm not. I'm talking about the multiple versions of Peeta, Katniss, and Cato that just rotted until they were marked down to a loss or sold off in bulk by the trash bag full.

Everybody loves Rue, but not everybody needs toys of their favorite characters. Usually just uh, toy collectors and children (who I guess are technically also toy collectors).
>>
>>6086392
Why? I'm not the one jumping to crazy conclusions about people's thoughts and posts on toys and getting mad about it.
>>
>>6086401

You're projecting your Dr. Phil opinions on others, and you seem to have a narrative in your head of how others should act.

FINALLY!
Coming out in April 2017.
http://necaonline.com/2016/12/predator-7-scale-action-figure-ultimate-jungle-hunter/?utm_campaign=UltimateJHpredprodpage
>>
>>6086498

Needs a head with roaring mandibles.
Also are those single jointed knees?
>>
>>6086505

No, it's clearly double jointed. You can see it plain as day in the pic.
>>
>>6086505
Double jointed. It's the same figure from the waist down as any other jungle hunter once they introduced the second body. The new parts are the double elbows, bicep swivels, and torso balls.

I'm underwhelmed. Too similar to the last JH and I already have most of those accessories. Think I'm gonna wait for the next upgrade.
>>
>>6086512
>>6086505

Ohh not too bad then. Does that mean it's missing the swivels on the AVP bodies legs though?
>>
>>6086517
Yes. It's a bummer. Maybe they retool the lower leg to add a boot swivel but I doubt it.
>>
>>6086517

Oh you. You trying to be a clever little troll after all that arguing. Not falling for your act one bit, kudos for almost being subtle about it.
>>
>>6086498
Hmmm I don't know if it's just me but it looks kinda underwhelming? Wish we got the bloodied spine+skull instead. At the very least this is the first time I'm getting a closed-mouth JH without the blood vomit on his face.
>>
>>6086512

There won't be another upgrade, this is it. This is the upgrade. Get it now or suffer the aftermarket later. And this is exactly what most of the Ultimate releases are, slight improvements that gather up all the accessories. They're a nice way to catch most people up.
>>
>>6086517
Why would it need a boot swivel when it already has the ball-jointed ankles?
>>
>>6086535
The bloody skull came with the accessory pack.
>>
>>6086545
Oops, completely forgot about that. I'll have to pick up the accessory pack then.
>>
>>6086539
>There won't be another upgrade, this is it.

Yeah right, it's not like this is the peak of Predator toys or the second time they've upgraded the JH.

>>6086540
For extra range and stability. Pull out an AVP figure and compare it to any Predator that came before. Or, better yet, compare say the ML Pizza Spidey body to like a Bucky body and see how different they are in posability thanks to the calf swivel. It's my second biggest beef with that Spider-Man body.
>>
>>6086545
True, but so did the blast effect, the skull, and the skull/spine.
>>
>>6086556

They gotta give you a reason to buy the accessory pack still.
>>
>>6086554
>Pull out an AVP figure and compare it to any Predator that came before.
Wait I'm confused, don't they just have the same ball-jointed ankles with no boot swivel?

I have the Celtic Pred and I don't see any boot swivel on this guy compared to my older Preds. It's basically the same range of motion for both, the only new thing I can see with the AVP figure is that there's an extra knee rotation at the top of his knee cap unless that's what you're referring to.
>>
>>6086558
>only new thing I can see with the AVP figure is that there's an extra knee rotation at the top of his knee cap unless that's what you're referring to

That's exactly what we're referring to.

>>6086557
I'm pretty sure that's the skinned body. That's the whole reason I even bought it. I haven't even taken the other pieces out of the tray.
>>
>>6086566

That's you. Not everyone has the skulls.
>>
>>6086566
>That's exactly what we're referring to.
Ah, fair enough.
>>
>>6086570
>That's you.

Yeah, that's exactly what I said. If you buy the Ultimate JH you get half the skulls though, and the bloody one comes with Ultimate CH. Every piece is available elsewhere except the skinned human.
>>
>>6086545
Did the accessory pack come with a blast effect that could fit with the AVP figures? Or they specifically for the City/Jungle Hunters only?
>>
>>6086582
Pretty sure they're made to fit CH/JH. I tried the orange one on an AVP one and it didn't fit too well.
>>
>>6086590
Damn, I'll have to try making my own then.
>>
that jh would have been nice 6 years ago; it's dated to hell now, look at those swivel hips jeez
>>
>>6086609
What are you talking about? He has ball hinges.
>>
>>6086609
>>6086619

They are swivel/hinge. Just because the piece is ball-shaped doesn't make it a ball joint.
>>

Alright, right out of the box I can tell that this is one of the best predator figures out there. It's Hard to see why anyone in their right mind would pass this up over one of the kenner predators of the same price

But, problem is, I have no idea what the fuck I'm supposed to do with the accessories and the wires on the head.
>>
>>6086762
Wires go into the back, I think the gun piece. I don't have mine in front of me but if you look closely it'll be obvious. Spear goes in hand, other clips onto the back. Knife goes onto the lower leg. No clue what the tiny bits are for since I thought that figure was too similar to the other Preds I got from the wave before.
>>

Uh, projecting means that you're atttributing qualities about yourself onto someone else.

So by him saying I haven't actually done the work to see which takes shorter, he's trying to hide the fact he himself hasn't done the work to see which takes less time. THAT is projecting.
He's making the claim to see like he actually knows shit, despite not doing it, and claiming that's me. And it's very clear that he hasn't used boiling water to fix stuck joints, otherwise he'd know that how easy and fast it softens the sockets themselves, even when the socket isn't exposed.
>>
>>6087056

Same. I need to clear out a wardrobe and build a display case in it for my more expensive figures. I don't really care if NECA or Mattel figures get dusty, but I'd hate my Figmas or Revoltechs to get dusty, so they're currently just in their boxes until I want to play with them.

Also tempted to get Iowa, but 10k for a titmonster? yeesh.

>>
>>6087512
No, it's still projecting, because I've actually done many techniques.
That guy has obviously never used boiling water, because again, hot water will get to the joints much better because the water goes INSIDE. Versus the air not getting to it as fast, if at all, which requires for the outer plastic to heat up first, increasing the length of time.
Again, boiling water is hotter than air, so it takes far less time and actually works better at softening the paint/plastic because of that.

Also, length of time is determined by WHAT is stuck and where it is. Something deeper will take longer than something sitting at the surface or edge. This is why i just use hot water everytime, because why waste time with a hair dryer when boiling water reach deep inside and will work just about every time?
When it doesn't and that's when you just stick the figure in the freezer. Expand and contract the plastic to fix every stuck joint.
>>
>>6086851

>No, it's still projecting, because I've actually done many techniques.

You clearly have a very serious misunderstanding about the concept of projection. Your post reflected a lack of knowledge that one would have gained from experience. Reading what you posted, anyone would assume you didn't know what you were talking about. That has literally nothing to do with projection and everything to do with forming a conclusion based on the available data.

Also, nobody cares.

I'd snatch it for 25 if I could find it any store near me. I'll have to wait till my gf gets it for me on my birthday in Feb ... I have three kids whose birthdays start at the beginning of November and end Dec 15th .. Then right into Xmas... between them and my gf I'm broke

>nope nope nope nope uuuuuuu
that's some awesome projecting and nothing to really back what you say, except "nuh uh you!"

But whatever, keep on pretending boiling stuff isn't one of the quickest and easiest ways to heat stuff
>>
>>6087581

You've got one hell of an ego problem to still be this butthurt about people doing things diffrently than you.
>>
>>6087954
It has absolutely nothing to do with someone doing something different and everything to do with the idea that it's somehow "easier" despite admitting that it requires more steps, time, and equipment. But hey it's not like I haven't already clearly stated that multiple times.

Much better.

Try Photoshop express, I use that on all of my phone pics.

It's great for keeping focus on the figures and minimising shit in the background (ideal for when your desk is the only decent place you have to take photos)

Nope unfortunately ... I mean he's standing now but his joints aren't going to hold ... But he's still sweet ... I'm going to go open my gorilla now
>>
>>6088839

I still have the original mantis and flying queen alien here somewhere too.

>>6088842
Nice i'm more interested in the gorilla, get that bad boy opened
>>
>>6088846
Well I am but dam mantis took a shelf dive the minute I left the room and the tail snapped back off so I had to re glue it ... When I looked in the package there were a few green chips and the tail looks like it's not solid so I think it was damaged and I finished the job

God fucking dammit. I love Neca but this bullshit is getting ridiculous a friend of mine got Gorilla and his arm snapped.
>>
>>6089112
Just use some hot water
>>
>>6089112
Not mine and I do but the fact that we have to heat up joints is ridiculous. In my experience Ive never had to do this with other toys. Why cant Neca use the same plastics as Hasbro or Bandai? Is it due to how they accept the paint?

He also mentioned some special set of Predators for the 30th anniversary and basically confirmed to have some Alien Covenant stuff, but can't show it yet

I am interested in a 1/4 alien to make company to my jungle hunter, which is the best one when it comes to articulation and poseability?
>>
>>6082824
What do you guys think about the alien isolation neca figure
>>
>>6089410
I prefer the way it looks to the Big Chap (IMO Xenos always looked better with digitigrade legs, the only difference) but it's harder to stand and the stand he has isn't designed for him so it's kind of a trade off
>>
>>6088089

Except that it doesn't. You've just set up this madness in your mind and are lashing out at everyone because of it.
>>
>>6089410
He looks great but can't stand on his own. He comes with a stand though.

Gotta be careful though the stand that comes with him and the dog are not the best and can snap very easy ... I've had 3 and only one didn't snap because it took 2 of them to learn that you absolutely cannot stretch the plastic holder at all
.... No one bit of give
>>
>>6089410
Very hard to stand without his stand.

Not my favorite, but i'd love Vriess and Dr. Gediman figures, i'm also very ok with new Xenomorphs for my ever growing hive.
A cool accessory pack would be tubes with Ripley clones.

Okay, threw all the packaging from my Donatello away and just realized I have seven hands, which is a peculiar number. Did I throw a hand away or is that all he came up with?
