My only real complaint with the figure is how he grips his weapons. He has a slot in the palm for the gun, but the gun hilt and the hinge for the fingers overlaps, so when you close the fingers, it pops the gun out of the slot. He can still hold the gun fine, its just kind of pain in the ass.

Also Overlord got rebuilt once or twice and possibly isn't as tough as he used to be because I doubt the shit to rebuild most of a P6'er is just laying around considering how big of a deal they make of them.

And Sixshot hasn't been seen since being stepped on by Metroplex, but he was confirmed as alive by some writers and out in space doing ??? It'd also be unknown if he'd have to get rebuilt from the ground up, or if whatever TF's use to repair themselves could fix whatever damage he got from a city stepping on him. Only IF I got is Miko because she looked (and is) amazing. Was kind of on the fence about Evil Lord, but Pink Assassin looks great (and I love the Nightbird repaint of Gen Arcee, so I kind of want Night Assassin now). Sixshot is My fave G1 Transformer, so Shadow Tengu is a mustbuy. And so it makes Evil Lord a must buy. Maybe Soul Reaper to complete the Phase-Sixer trio. Then their Prime comes with Power Master armor and Elita repaint. I love Headmaster gimmick, and Lord Scorpion looks like sex. FML.

Just got this guy in from chinaland via that ebay deal a while back for $50. Gotta say I didn't think I would like it as much as I did. Seems to be looked over given how lukewarm the reaction was minus the combiner hype. The alt mode is impressive and gorgeous despite that hollow cavity resulting in the pegs popping out when pushing down with force. The articulation is good with only the head being annoyingly limited. The arms and the sculpt also makes him appear to constantly hunching his shoulders up though. The backpack is really the only problem since it nothing locks in and can either flop around or twist.

At $100 he's not worth it like the TFC limbs but he feels like a solid side step from the Generation Toy stuff and certainly a few leagues above the garbage detailing, sculpt issues, and engineering from Warbotron. At half that this guy is a fairly good value. I might be in for the combiner at this rate.

Bought my first full third party toy some weeks ago, Planet X's Asclepius.

I had always thought I'd have to treat a third party toy like it was made of glass, but Asclepius feels like he's made of industrial grade plastic, tough stuff. He took one shelf dive because my nephew doesn't understand "do not touch" and he impacted against hardwood floor, not a scratch on him.

Is that normal? I've heard some of the older third party companies have iffy plastic compared to HasTak, dunno if Asclepius is typical of Planet X's quality, but it's made of sterner stuff.

Most of the heavy hitter companies like Planet X, MMC, Maketoys, Fansproject, use good production companies and are usually on the ball about QC, although it can slip easily. Nigga, I'll fight you. Apollo + Upgrade kit looks better than anything else I own, and that includes most major MMC releases and Pandinus. I admit I don't like the large head for their other releases, but goddamn the fact he can go from his okay-looking default Omega Supreme look to "I'm going to buttfuck you with this giant hammer", to anywhere from a bazooka to a bow (and even dual maces) is fucking sick. He's got disgusting posing potential to boot.

My only gripe is he can't bring his arms close enough together to hold the greathammer with both hands, but given the fact that almost nothing else I own can do that either (with any sort of large weapon), this isn't a big complaint.

The white bits don't look awful but I would rather not see them. To me, the part that ruins the whole thing is the 5 clawed fingers. I get that this isn't going for G1 but there are some specific motifs that you still have to stick to when designing and redesigning a TF character if you want them to be recognizable as that specific character. One of the most important parts of Skorponok is his giant scorpion claws and those look nothing like robot scorpion claws. They just look like giant clawed hands and it completely detracts from the character he's supposed to be.

Correct Me if I'm wrong, but as far as I know, Sark's only Reformatted characters were Terminus Hexatron, the initial five Feralcons, Carnifex, and Seraphicus Prominion.

So blaming shit like Jaegertron on Sark sounds like bullshit. Same with the Azalea variants (they look nice but their transformation sucks) and Commotus (also another good looking figure with a shitty transformation). Seraphicus also has terrible transformation, which was probably due to the long years it was in development after Sark got pushed out from the Feralcons. In contrast, the Feralcons and Terminus are some of the most fun 3P figures I have.

The Predacon's and Overlord were rescued by Griffith. Dunno who did Hex, but I love Hex. Seraphicus probably fell victim to the fact that making "armor up" toys is a pain in the ass and usually turn out shit. So it's no surprise this one turned out "meh" too. Dunno who did the Arcee stuff.

However, they have not only recently hired a bunch of new designers, they also have Sark doing whatever with his kickstarter shit. That probably distracts from other stuff. 1) The flaps that cover the space where his hands fold away don't tab down and flop around uselessly in all modes

Not sure what you mean by the crotch seeing as how it 90% matches up with the art. I agree on the thighs though. Those are pretty far off model. I still do dig MMC's offering but the shapes are not quite there. They need some tweaking so things like the chest have the right curves and actually protrude like they do in the art.

Fucking hell it's almost close enough for the proper proportions but that fucking detailing is awful. The shoulders are shaped more correctly than MMC's but the size and vent detailing is fucked. The arm claw gun things are shitty, that torso is thin and not filled with innacruate greebles but has no depth. The feet are proportions but the leg decorations are too small and flat. Worst of all is that head.

Only thing l really like is how lanky and clean he is which reflects much of the early art. I know this will be a really hard design to produce but this still doesn't go all the way. I think I'll wait until Gcreations, Generation Toy, IF, or Maketoys give it a shot.
