They really should have used an AR grade glass/plexi. And a joined corner miter-cut particle board (maybe gessoed board?) inner frame/mat? Jesus. Gundam colors are hard to match up for framing, but this just seems like a whole bunch of leftovers found in a shop's garbage can were used to make it.

This whole frame looks cheaper than the $12 kit they've got in there. Nice novelty, but talk about a lack of any finesse or purpose when joining subject with frame.

We don't want this shit over there. This is shitposting

there're already toy forums for this "everything needs to be in the general or else i will be confused ;_;" attitude, cockmunching faggot

Good job making a shitpost general OP

Not too big into Gundams, but this is pretty neat. I might steal this idea for a Frame Arm Girl or Megami Device.
>>
What the fuck is wrong with you people...?

Kinda cool, OP, I certainly like the idea but as some people here say the execution could be better, like this one looks great >>6072058
>>
>>6072681

Looks fine to me. Simple and natural.
>>
>>6072058
That one is cool because you have a finished model inside too.
Gives you a feeling of how many parts the finished one has, frame is nice too.

The rest looks retarded though.
What are they supposed to show?
“Little plastic pieces I didn't bother to put together and that look like nothing“?
Would be like taking a bunch of puzzle pieces and sorting them by color in a frame.

It would look fresh if someone were to paint all the pieces blue with a white outline before displaying them and make the whole piece look like a blueprint. Maybe add some specs and descriptions on the board.

>get blue background
>dye all sheets a blue identical to the background
>pane-line everything white
seems like it could work
but not something i feel like doing

>What are they supposed to show?

I'm no detective but if I had to guess, all the parts that make up a Gundam kit, but painted. Unless you're one of those people who think everything needs to make a "statement."
>>
>>6073053
Yeah that seems like something that would be meh at best to do (Not hard just boring) for something that may not be enough of a reward.
>>
>>6072928
I wonder if combining the two ideas would look neat. Like you use this >>6072058 as the centerpiece and then have ones like these >>6072075 showing the same kit unbuilt. Might look cool if you use blueprint paper for the background, for instance. Or go a bit further and trace the silhouette of the runners on blueprint paper.
>>
>>6073149
Not a statement, but for the purpose it's just too vague.
Like, you can't tell if these pieces belong together or if they are just random ones put together in a frame because a reference (like a finished figure or a blueprint or a picture) is missing.
How does the figure look like in the end?
And I still think that keeping the pieces attached to each other just looks lazy, like they just removed the pieces from the box and nailed it into a frame.

If you want that "whole thing but in pieces" aesthetic it works better here >>6072058
It looks less like a toy in pieces and more like a miniature of the mentioned blueprint idea.
Or how it's sometimes shown in shows of that kind with 3D models of the figure and parts of it being pulled away so you can have a closer look at it.

It would also look great if you finish single pieces and then sort them vaguely like the finished figure in the frame, with those lines like on the blueprint explaining what every single piece is.
That way you still have that deconstructed look but it looks less lazy and like that person had a plan.

>>6073373
I think combined it would look better, yes.
The ones in the wood frame just lacks something.

There's so much you can do with that idea, and all of them are better than the boring wood frame version.
