Thanks to all the discussion about Picco Neemo clothes last thread, I realized I could buy this and use the bottoms at least. If the top doesn't look good like most of the other kimono-ey things I've ordered in 1/12, I can make a bandage wrap a la Disgaea's samurai.

Are you in need of any patterns? I'm drafting some for Picco Neemo when I get home (so after Friday), and I can share them with you guys if you like the fit Picco Neemo clothes have. I wouldn't mind some suggestions on what to make, though.

So you can either

1) Trim the Picconeemo joint (which means that if you want to reuse it for a Picconeemo head you might have problems with it falling out)

2) Use an Obitsu joint (they're cheap too)

3) Just cut a bit of the runner from the FAG kit and use that (you lose one axis of movement but if the other two aren't options it's a thing)

"Natural" is the same as the default Picconeemo body colour from when you buy the body on their own and is NOT the body colour used in Assault Lily and tie-in stuff like Nipako and so on.

"Whitey" is the same colour used by those, and also closer to FAG's default skin colour.

That's... not true. You do know that Dengeki Hobby is a magazine, right? NAOKI is a modeller for Dengeki Hobby and made a custom, and Kotobukiya made a conversion kit based off of his custom. The parts are resin not because they're made by a "separate factory owned by DH" (p.s. Kotobukiya doesn't own any factories, their stuff is made in China which is why it's so expensive compared to Bandai's) because they're not a full run but a limited event-only thing of maybe only a few hundred units.

And Kotobukiya does full resin kits too like Cupoche Nipako.

Stylet is a little more complicated in that they likely have an extra back hairpiece to incorporate her low twin tails.

Hey /bsg/, I have a question before doing something potentially(most likely) stupid.

Long story short, due to some freak circumstances the hand parts on my Lavina have considerably yellowed. I've tried the hydrogen peroxide trick, but it didn't work out so well.

I'm thinking of using those Tamiya's TS spray paint cans and primer to paint them white. I'm not too savvy about paints, but I've read the Gunpla guide that lacquer-based paints makes ABS plastic pretty weak/ damages it. Is it a bad idea to try it out?

Is Gourai a good kit? She looks a bit static to me from the product images and I don't know how huge I am about her colour scheme.

Honestly not really. They really improved the quality of FAGs with each release and Gourai is easily the worst in terms of quality. The wrists are just a basic balljoint, the skirt is just a single static piece that impedes articulation, the left hip is notoriously loose and is suggested you replace it with something like bandai's bolden arms, and the joints can crack a bit easier than normal.

There is an image of what I'm talking about somewhere. Basically you carve out the inside of the left hip and replace it with one of the bolden arms balljoint sockets for a more secure connection. Otherwise the hip pops off the balljoint easily.

Now I could be wrong, but I heard in later releases of gourai after the first run or two this hip problem was actually fixed. Can anyone confirm this?
