And if so, is it still available anywhere?

You mean this guy right here?

Yea don't bother. It's Chinese knockoff shit.
>>
>>6069606
Yes, I had that as a kid, back in 1998-2000 or so. In New Jersey, there'd be a string of shops in Union City owned by Asians with a ton of bootleg ranger/sentai figures. I'm sure these where available elsewhere, of course. There where some Jetman STD KO toys I remember having, and lines as late as Abarenger/Dino Thunder, at least. Not sure where you'd find them nowadays.

Quality is OK, would probably hold up better in adult hands than having to be played with and put in a toy box every day. The Dragonzord drill tail and sword handle are notable fragile, and the first to go. The gears and things holding the limbs also eventually wear out. If you have the real version, a lot of it is interchangeable so you can use it to substitute for real zords(or display Mega Dragonzord and Dragonzord at the same time. Fun set overall.
>>
>>6069613
But I am interested in chinese knockoff shit, that's why I asked.

Can they still be found or are they from a run from years ago?
>>
>>6069625
No you don't anon trust me
>>
>>6069621
It's mainly that dragonzord I want. They are apparently not re-releasing the original like they did with the others, and all that is coming out now is the legacy edition which is not the same thing and it is fairly expensive.

It did not occur to me to try grabbing a knockoff using the same molds for cheap.
>>
>>6069645
>They are apparently not re-releasing the original like they did with the others, and all that is coming out now is the legacy edition which is not the same thing and it is fairly expensive.

The original Megazord has never been re-released, though. In 2010, and 2014/2015, it was a new version released, compatible with the new Dragonzord. While the Megazord is a bit worse than the original, the new dragonzord is beter.

You'll probably never see the original molds reissued, for the simple fact that Bandai has so many toy molds they're probably lost to time.
>>
>>6069652
I thought the 2010 release was basically the same thing. It was not a scaled up legacy model.
>>
>>6069660
No, the legacy and the 2010 are the exact same mold, the LEgacy version was just made with diecast. The biggest tell is that the cylinder knee of the Tyrannosaurus in the 2010/Legacy version is visible in Megazord mode, because they reworked the connection point to the legs; in the original it actually plugged into Triceratops and Sabretooth tiger; newer one has a peg ontop of that knee that pegs in instead; basically giving the newer one longer thighs.

>Has a face clearly visible inside its mouth

The mold is really great don't get me wrong, but that bothers me to no end. Way to fuck up something that was already perfectly fine on the original toy from 20 years ago, they only needed to add a free swivel to the jaw instead of a spring loaded one.
>>
>>6069776
Yea but the gold and black variant color is all you can get these days without having to pay a few hundred.
>>
>>6069606
Why do you want bootleg shit anyway?
>>
the bootleg on eBay right now, remolded with t-rex into dragon and mastadon into turtle, looks neat.
>>
>>6069606
I almost bought one of those on my first visit to NYC's Chinatown in '07, but the lady wouldn't back down from $40. $40? Screw that noise. Around the same time Big Lots was selling bootleg Wolkaisers for like $8 or $10. Bootleg Mega Dragonzord should be $20 at the most.

Anyway, that was almost ten years ago and it was old and dusty then, so this is very, very old. Although who knows, they might still have one in the back room of one of those shops next door to the place with the stinking buckets of shrimp out front.

>>6069652
>the new dragonzord is better
LOOKS better. Its functionality is fucked because of the heavy metal feet that don't lock into place and the very badly designed Mega Dragonzord combination. All they had to do was copy the engineering from the original decades-old toy and give it a better sculpt, but they tried to reinvent the wheel and ended up with a floppy piece of shit.
>>
There is no cheap way to grab a Dragonzord. Either be ready to pay $90+ or don't bother trying.
>>
>>6070001
That's the Godbeast Megazord mage out of Chinese legendary creatures. It actually looks pretty cool.

And a few years ago a special super detailed sculpt statue of it was released and it looked amazing.

here is the deluxe one after the old one got popular in China

They are surprisingly affordable.

I actually like it more than the original dinosaur MMPR one
>>
>>6070878
That second one is gorgeous. Holy shit. Thanks.
>>
>>6070878
I feel like this is how the Chinese mythical animal Thunderzords should have been handled.

Since they were portrayed as upgrades and all..
>>
>>6070943
Well saban went the cheap route.

Ching Chong Shi Hua! Na bu ren ni Hao Ma?!

They went through the trouble of making an all new sculpt and this is what they made?
>>
does anyone know where to get a KO of the legacy mastodon zord? I want to display my Black and gold dragonzord in fighting mode, but I don't want to spend out the ass for the mastodon just because there are no zord builder ports for the arms.
>>
>>6069847
Dragonzord and the dragondagger are getting reissues.
>>
>>6071455
Yea I've seen the dragon dagger, but the Dragonzord is only in the weird gold and black variant color.

I want green.
>>
>>6072105
Dragonzord's normal colors is getting a reissue though.
>>
>>6072105

Pre-order it then.

Why would anyone with a brain buy the overpriced dragonzord rereleases when SOC is probably down the line
>>
>>6072342
Yeah just like SRC Dragon Ceasar happened. If the $50 Daizyujin/Megazord didn't sell well enough to warrant a Dragonzord, what makes you think the $300 one will?
>>
>>6072380
The SOCs transform and can combine. That's a way better selling point than what a SRC Dragonzord could have offered.
>>
>>6072380
>>6072917
What is SOC?
>>

Quick look on ebay and it seems much easier to grab the real thing than a bootleg.

I don't think you are going to get a new-ish Dragonzord unless it's one of the newer Legends series.
>>
>>6072380

>$50 for a six inch action figure of the Megazord that doesn't transform

Yeah, can't see why that failed. And how the SOC will fail too since they're clearly the same thing, even though the Amazon pre-order ran through its first allotment within days.
>>
Super special editions never really impress me most of the time. I typically want the original figure, with a better paint job at the most.
>>
>>6073662
Anon we do not link to casuals here.

if he does not know what the term means then that is tough shit for the newfag.

What is with this anyway?

Some other thread a few days ago some anon lost his shit because two or three links were in a reply helping some guy out.

Why is it such a terrible thing for other people to know what large commercial site wanting to sell things and make money has something they are looking for?
>>
>>6077587
God those US stickers are so shitty. Thankfully they dropped the "THUNDERBOLTS EVERYWHERE" thing early on.
>>
>>6078789
Not sure why it has them, the character in the show still had the old Japanese designs on it. And the Japanese toy came with the right stickers. Seems weird to replace them with lightning bolts that never needed to exist.
>>
>>6078808
Probably some weird Bugs Bunny double think where they where worried that companies would KO the Japanese toys with the original stickers, so the Thunderbolts would mark it as "official" Power Rangers merchandise. Same line of thinking that made them make Bart Simpson's shirt blue in official Simpsons merchandise back then. Apparently making the official one look like an off-color bootleg was to mark it as authentic.
