Hey /toy/ what are some good ideas to have on my desk at the office? obviously I don't want to get in trouble with HR so if any of you have some thoughts I would love to hear them.
>>
Revoltech Queen's Blade Alice
figma billy herrington

seriously though, just get something small and articulated you can play and pose with. preferably something you're interested in. I have NEO Shodo DBZ Broly chilling on my desk

Get one of the Figma Table Museum figures.
Leave it in the standard pose for a couple of weeks, then make slight alterations to it, and watch people look at it funny when they notice something is off.
I was in rehab for 2 months after a car accident, learning to walk again, and I had my Thinker sent to me.
He sat there on the shelf, contemplating for about 2 weeks, and got a lot of comments about how cool he looked. People just thought he was a miniature statue, they had no clue he was movable.
Then I moved his head so he was looking up. And I moved his arm slightly.
Housekeeping came by as usual, and she stopped and stared at it for a bit, ad looked puzzled. The Nurses would notice something was off, but wouldn't be able to put their finger on it. So I kept up with the minor adjustments.
After a couple of weeks a few of them figured it out, so I just started going crazy with the poses, and got a lot of laughs.

Rapedog.

I'm alone in my office so I pretty much just use whataver. Right now I have my Mario, Luigi and Yoshi Figuarts plus some world of Nintendo Star Fox toys and Figma Link.
>>
I've got a couple Halo Mega Bloks Spartans and a handful of blocks. Alone, they wouldn't be that interesting, but the blocks let you screw around and make cover to hide behind or a stand to pose atop.
>>
I've got some Cubebots on my desk, along with a bunch of other random stuff, and they're both fun to play with and office friendly.

>>6066890
Seconding this. I used to have Venus and The Thinker on my desk and most people thought they were statues until I changed their poses. The only issue might be the fact that they are somewhat anatomically correct. Classical statuary is one thing, but your office may draw a line at an action figure with full frontal.

Nothing. If it's unrelated to your job, it doesn't belong in your work space.

I want a goddamn Revoltech of him with desk, chair, and stapler.

And for shits and giggles, give the desk, chair, and stapler revo joints too.

I've got this guy on my desk. He's small and fun to pose. His articulation is surprisingly pretty great considering he's a 90's Toybiz figure.

I have Revoltech Skelly
The Goth Kids Lego Minifigs
Shark Guy Minifig
Nosferatu Funko Mini (don't know of any other figures of that guy)
Legends Deadpool
and HACKS Spartan all on my desk.
>>
>>6066664
I have some Mystery Mini figures on my desk. I'm gonna take some Gundam minifigures in tomorrow.

I've seen people with statues, paintings, plushies (someone had about 30 plushies on their desk), photographs, stuff they made at work, and puzzles. It's up to you, as long as you don't overdo it and makes your desk look messy or distracts you.

Hey, Time to lean? Time to clean.
Do your job or get replaced, Kid.
>>
>>6066664
Nothing.

You either come off as:
1. Autist
2. Unprofessional
3. Childish
4. Lazy
5. All or any combination of above

You go there to actually work and not fiddle with toys.
If you have free time youre either expected to find something productive to do that benefits the company, or to improve yourself.

Too bad your bosses were utter cunts.

Talk about job insecurity.

You guys should work on developing some kind of skills to make yourself a little useful so you don't have to be worried about getting fired at the drop of a hat.
>>
I work from home. So all of my toys can be desk toys.

When I worked in the office, my boss had toys and star wars shit everywhere, so I could basically do what I wanted there too.
>>
>>6067201
>The only issue might be the fact that they are somewhat anatomically correct. Classical statuary is one thing, but your office may draw a line at an action figure with full frontal.

The Thinker is probably the safest one, as he was very small genitals (I guess that he's using all his blood on his head?) and if you pick the bronze version it makes them even harder to notice because of the dark color. They're there, but not as in your face as David's or Vitruvian Man's.

Also the thinking theme seems fitting for work.
>>
>>6070770
It's not about worried about getting fired. I'm a well established specialist in my company and a team leader and all that shit.

It's just I think you should never let go of your ambitions and stop striving towards bettering yourself. That way you keep getting better salary/tasks/status.

I love playing with toys as much as any other /toy/soldier, I just don't think they are for work environments.

I was this anon: >>6070619
>>
I only have gashapons as my office desk "toys" because some of them actually hold name cards and the rest are just... really small well sculpted things. I don't need to fiddle with them to enjoy them, just look at them.
>>
>>6070770
Can you project even more or is that your max?
>>
>>6070619
Free time?

Having a display piece on your desk does not take up "free time"...

What the fuck am I reading?

Plenty of professionals in my office (sales people, marketing, accounting...) have little trinkets or toys on their desks. A little Star Wars figure or Hello Kitty.

You seem...unemployed and "guessing".
>>
>>6072731
I'll reply again to you - what makes you think a toy is required to be "fiddled" with?

I agree, spending time at your desk fiddling with a toy is autistic as fuck...

But the topic is about an office desk toy... I have NO idea why you would assume OP meant anything other than a display piece - They VERY CLEARLY do not fucking mean that they want to "fiddle around" and play with toys at work.

I suspect you have a reading comp. problem...
