Well I wouldn't say the movieverse before the fourth was hard to think about, though they definitely gave it a lot of effort in the ROTF line. I'd say I'm more surprised that they did a wonderful job for TFPrime's line despite being a bit more stylized.

The easiest generation they ever did would have to be Beast Wars for me.

Movie aesthetics has its charms, else it would've never been as successful. It's more known for being a monstermash than the civil soldiers that the older generations had.

The problem is making an aesthetic that stays close to what the first movie started without straying towards familiar G1 territory, or at least that's what the creative team is doing.

I personally like and dislike the new OP design. Like that it's clean and defines the warrior, dislike that the only good toy we can get out of it is a DMK.
