that's the part that weirds me out at times about the current trend with superhero movies. If anything it just means there'll be unnecessary changes instead of focusing on making the best representation of a costume/character. War Machine being made to look even more similar to Iron Man in bulk and shape was really weird to me. I get it, they want to update the looks to get excitement for each new movie. I also feel like that Civil War Spider-Man costume is so close to being damned near perfect, but they had to add arbitrary sports-suit lines all over the classic Spider-Man design.

I disagree. It is more textured but the face is off IMO and articulation looks worse. The effect parts are cool but we haven't seen what SHF is including yet. Depends on the style you want though, SHF is more anime. Personally I hate the fact Storm Collectibles started a 1/12 line that is way the fuck out of scale at 7 inches tall. They also aren't doing any women yet.

I think the default SHF Ryu head is top notch, yelling face a bit weird.

Now I am worried. These poses make it seem like his gi is not soft at all and won't move out of the way like the Storm Collectibles one. It's making some of these iconic poses look really fucking awkward.

Fucking WHY. Even the Storm Collectibles Ryu has eight hands. So does Bison. So does Ken. You can't even do a lot of the poses Ryu does because he doesn't have the hands for them. They want you to re-use one set for charging hadouken, throwing hadouken and for any kind of open hand karate pose despite the fact his fingers look FUCKING DIFFERENT in all those poses. Bandai being cheapskates with hands is getting frustrating.

See this pose? You can't fucking do it now. Also the hadouken release should have less curved inward and more splayed outward fingers. Which you know...makes total fucking sense. God fucking damn it i'm pissed as hell. Don't even get me started on the gi looking like a hard piece of plastic that will limit articulation and totally prevent iconic poses from looking natural.

I'd hope (and guess) that they're just kind of a bit unfinished, since they're sort of prototype-ish.

They've been showing off the Mk I through VII for a while now it feels like, and the III is the only one they've released so far since they've been showing these.

Some of them just look like they're missing a layer of paint to bring out details and such. Seems pretty obvious on suits like the Mk I and the Mk V.

To be honest, even if the gi is made of soft plastic, it will hardly make a difference. I have the Sota Ryu and even if he has ab crunch it was rendered useless because of the gi. Revoltech and PAK made a different method and made the gi sculpted into the body thus have more range but at the sacrifice of breaking sculpt of the body.

Yeah face(atleast the default face) looks great especially upon closer look like on this pic >>6041662. I like this face more than the Storm Collectibles Ryu as this reminds me of Ryu from the animated movie. Hadoken effect looks small but I don't mind since I can use D-Arts Full Armor X's charged shot or PAK's Hadoken effect, Storm Collectibles is the better one regarding this area.

Regarding Chun LI, that's been the problem of every poseable figure of her available(sans RAH and clothed figures). Looking at >>6041772, the front skirt bends a little from the pose so I'm guessing it is made of soft plastic. But like you said only an alternate skirt piece or giving her cloth will solve the problem.

I'm talking about the bottom of the gi where the leg hits. Go look closely at the Storm Collectibles promo shots, you can see it bending to fold up so the leg can get maximum forward range. SHF isn't shown bending at all.

Of course that's not always an indicator that it can't bend because SHF Whis was basically shown in the most static poses possible yet his torso range was really nice. Looked awkward as hell because the long robe pieces couldn't drape naturally but it wasn't nearly as limited as I thought. Hope that's the case here.

Storm Collectibles Ryu looks just as awkward doing a kicking pose. It's no the bottom if the gi bending that's important, it's that the torso doesn't have sufficient movement cause it's completely covered by a solid piece.

I'm guessing the one funding SFV is an Arab millionaire and they are forcing the character in our throats. AmiAmi charges exactly what EMS rates are, HLJ charges less than what official EMS rates are because they have a discount on EMS. Can we please stop with this "AmiAmi shipping is ridiculous!" meme? If you want to see truly ridiculous shipping charges then order from Nippon-Yassan. They literally tack extra charges on top of the EMS rate. AmiAmi is about 3200 yen for three figma, that is by no means bad. Before EMS rates got hiked up by 500 yen it used to be 2700 yen for three figma.

Now if you want to argue that you don't like AmiAmi's durable boxes or crush resistant paper padding then go right ahead but you will generally pay the same rates or more at any other Japanese shop, even ones that use less padding to protect stuff. I would have to get the figure in hand before really thinking of something, but probably a thin wooden dowel cut to fit into the hole where the cape peg would sit. you would just need to attach it to a piece of plastic or something the size of a toothpick to sit under the flaps, which can then attach the cape. Even taking some popsicle sticks and cutting them down to glue the fabric of the cape between, then drilling a hole through for the wooden peg and gluing together

For some god forsaken reason the air brake flaps on the mk 3 seem to be clear plastic that's painted. The connector pegs are clearly translucent plastic. The Figuarts Hulkbuster is amazing. Its big, its heavy, and its about as posable as you'd expect a Hulkbuster to be. Not super-amazingly flexible, but enough to get the job done. The chest, head, and each knee have LEDs to light up the eyes, chest arc reactor, and front-leg arc reactors. Hands have a fair bit of range and fully posable fingers, the feet have enough movement for the job without compromising stability (the heel spurs don't move, but given the weight frequently on them that seems like a good thing), and the shoulders have a wide degree of movement.
