The significance is you get GSC global customer support if you buy from them. If you don't buy from them they will tell you to get lost since they can't be sure you didn't buy a bootleg. So if you want help in case something is broken in the box, missing or TERRIBLY painted you want to buy from a partner shop (or from popular Japanese shops), otherwise buy wherever you want.

Considering the source material, the figures probably would have been better if they were Revoltech instead of Figma.

At the very least Kaiyodo probably would have actually painted on the colour highlights and black shadows that Phat Company couldn't be bothered to do. Heck, they even got the colour of Ninja Slayer's armour wrong, which doesn't leave much hope for if and when they eventually get to showing off the painted prototype for Yamoto.

I just got my figma Yugi and it's all good except that his right arm doesn't want to stay on. The moment I moved it, it popped off at the shoulder and doesn't stay in every well. The left arm stays in perfectly so it must be a shallow joint. Any way to fix this?

Some figmas just take much longer than others to have updates. And it isn't really only a problem with licensing I think or that it's a video game license, since GSC takes forever to release some anime figmas, like the GodHand figmas which took them like 2 years to paint and put up for pre-order even though they started releasing Berserk figmas years before.
I think it's probably just their choice to give priority to make some figmas faster than others. Kantai Collection figmas pop up and go up for pre-order quickly because they know how popular the franchise is right now, while they more generally take their time with nostalgia characters such as Magic Knight Rayearth. It really varies though, so there's no telling which figmas will be made before others. At this point after following figmas for a couple years I learned to just stop hoping for updates and expect them to take 1-2 years for updates. Also the fact of the matter is that GSC now values Nendoroids much more than figmas.

Only for custom fodder. The old archetypes have been bootlegged and are...okay in some ways. They'll have molding-deformities, off-center peg holes, mold flash, and ball-and-socket joints can be hit or miss in being formed right.

The new archetypes SEEM to have been bootlegged for real now (a lit of chinese sellers were posting new and old archetype pictures on EBay and AliExpress. I might take the plunge on a bootleg she 2.0 and see how bad it ends up being. Worst case I spend $20 on spare parts that need hobby base joints to replace the shitty ones.

2.0 is a nice figma. Good articulation and comes with plenty of accessories. Do not try to remove her head and you should be fine. Only cons I can think of is the design of her sleeves greatly limits the hands' articulation. And be very careful with the wings since they are easy to break.
