I recently tried purchasing an order that contains some 18+ goods from mandarake, which requires a verified by visa CC. I would get booted back to the CC payment page after the visa.com page showing my bank's logo. I spoke with my bank, visa, the store, verified by visa, and others. The bank told me they didn't know anything about VbV. Visa told me it was with my bank. The store told me it was with my bank, and so did the company that handles VbV. After I found out that my bank hasn't supported VbV since 2013, I have been in the process in moving to another bank. I initially contacted mandarake after receiving the message [WTDA0204]例外(java.lang.IllegalStateException)が発生しましたが、例外メッセージが設定されていません。which hasn't gone away no matter what I put in. I have a temporary debit card at the moment, and am unsure if it supports VbV. I'm still waiting to get the real one in the mail. I'm on the cusp of pulling my hair out and eating it, as I have spent about 4 days on this issue so far. If anyone has any advice, or has dealt with a similar situation before, please help. My order is currently on hold. I tried repeating the payment process 29 times, according to mandarake, before it generated that java error.

>they updated to a new version of java without updating their code to replace the removed APIs

Rookie mistake
>>
I don't know whose end this is on, but it's driving me absolutely up the fucking wall. I've never had a problem like this before. Not to mention the incredibly limited amount of info about 3d secure and Verified by Visa in the US, due to there being better and more secure payment solutions. To say this is driving me up a wall would be an understatement. I've driven up all of the walls I could find. Seriously. There are tire marks and dead squirrels everywhere.
>>
I've spent 4 days trying to figure this out, and I've switch banks because of this. I'm lost.

I don't know what made them update their old site, but I suspect some filthy money-grubbing gaijin was involved. Now they keep making "updates" to it that only serve to further hinder its functionality and navigability. The pointless social media feeds are the icing on the cake, can no longer browse from the homepage on my phone without it crashing thanks to those.
>>
Well, at least it wasnt just me.

Anyway, I just paid off an order last night (Complex) but the OTP for Visa took 5-10 minutes to come. Was eventually able to pay it, but when I tried to pay the Nakano order, it's suddenly "Authentication Failed" and now it's giving this message.

Which store are you buying from OP?

Still not working.

My payment is due tomorrow.

I swear if they ban me for 'non-payment', I'm gonna slap someone.

Contact them through mandarake earth on twitter. They can extend it.

To give some further background information, I tried 29 times with the first card to complete the transaction. That's what Mandarake said. On their end it looks like I hit the cancel button 29 times on the verified by visa page. That page with the extra password challenge never appeared, because my bank stopped supporting it 3 years ago. I have moved to another bank, and am going to try with a new card. I have a temporary debit that the new bank gave me which is linked to my account, but I don't know if it's VbV. I tried with the temporary card, and it gave me the same Java error. I have a feeling that this is on Visa's end, and they're blocking the referring transaction link due to a number of failed transactions. I emailed them last night to try and get them to send me a new payment link, but they haven't replied yet. I have never had an issue like this before. I payed with a card from a different bank last year, and I didn't have these kinds of problems. I just had to call the bank to let the transaction go through. I never got any errors about java. Very frustrating.
>>
>>6036364
Yep, IllegalStateException

When using Chrome, the VbV page works maybe 2 out of five times. It'll just go back to the CC info page after hitting submit. Opera, Firefox and Safari always goes through, though not this time, getting the java error on all of them, and since I've been reading a few more complaints about it, then I'm pretty confident it's a Mandarake side issue and not my card.

Messaged them on Twitter, fingers crossed they reply.

So in case anybody is interested in verified by visa/3d secure, here's a rundown. VbV is an outdated and insecure method of payment, that was implemented over a decade ago. First, your bank has to apply for the program. Then they have to create their own specific backend. Different banks verify different information, and may or may not enroll you automatically. My previous bank, for example, stopped supporting this system in 2013. Which means that it WILL bring up a page with my bank's logo on it, with the domain of visa.com along with a spinning wheel. Then it takes me to a blank page, returns the cancelled code to Mandarake, shows me a blank page, and then kicks me back to the page to enter information in. Simply because the processing backend that that my bank used to run doesn't exist anymore. If you call visa, they will tell you that they do not support the system, and then they will tell you it's on your bank's end. Or they will give you an unlisted 800 number that goes to a helpdesk that handles BOTH VbV and MC 3d Secure. It is key to remember that these payment systems are both currently being phased out by most companies, in favor of technologies like Visa Checkout, PayPal, and future mobile payment systems. These systems were VERY sparsely adopted in the US. Mandarake uses it because this system allows Mandarake to avoid liability from fraud and chargebacks. TMK Visa, MasterCard and other people basically told online shop owners that they would have to pay up unless they implement this system. Mandarake is really the only overseas seller that offers these kinds of goods at a fair price. I still love them for doing that, and I don't blame them for implementing this system. I just want to find a solution to the problem, so myself and others like me can continue to shop with them. If and when I find a solution, I will post it so other people can just search and find the answer they need, because I really can't find anything on this issue.

Nothing has changed on my end. I'm still getting the same error. I asked Mandarake to generate a new payment link for my order, and to see if that helps, but no word back from them yet.

Not yet. I think they're aware though. Don't really want to hound them. Sent multiple emails and the Twitter message already.

As long as they don't fuck me over with the order, sell the items etc I can wait.

No updates as of yet. My temporary debit card supplied to me by the bank doesn't support VbV. Still waiting on getting the new one in the mail on Monday. I can register for VbV and try again. I'm wondering if I'll get the same error or not.

Anon why can't you just link your bank account with PayPal or must you use credit from a credit card?

Also I saw something about restricted states, pretty sure credit cards from some areas won't work due to people in certain areas fucking with them

Mandarake doesn't accept PayPal for r18 products

Actually, PayPal is the one at fault here. PayPal doesn't handle any purchases on anything regarding Pornography/Adult or anything firearms related. I personally think there should be a law forcing payment processors to process the transactions, as long as the material is legal. PayPal can go fuck themselves with a rusty blade. Not to mention that they have the power to freeze your entire bank account just because. I had a friend get his entire bank account frozen, because he owed PayPal 2 dollars. IMHO, stores should really accept Bitcoin over PayPal.
>>
>>6039613
It's still Illegal something something for all browsers though. At least for me.

I dont have a Paypal account because fuck Paypal.

They havent replied or anything, my account is still active, they know Ive been trying to pay, so it's not my fault.

I just hope it gets fixed before the holiday season, or the shipping'll be fucked because our offices are closed between 25th - first week of January.
>>
>>6041169
not sure if this is the same, but on capital one credit cards, they will txt / email you to confirm if you are making these transactions, once you reply them back, you will get instant reply from them to tell you to run the card again. you'll be able to run the transaction without issues this time.

Next time, when you try posting reaction images, make sure you don't use the same one 50 times in one day and make sure they actually fit the context.

VbV and SecureCode sends me a four digit code that I have to enter on the arcot site. I'm using a VISA debit and a financial institution MasterCard. I've never really had to call back or text back to confirm payment on anything.

I've really stopped worrying now, it's Mandarake site's problem. I've contacted them as soon as it happened too, as long as I still get to have my [nospoilersontoy]Hydra Gundam and Berga Giros[/nospoilersontoy]
>>
I think this is what Toys R Us kept trying to push on me years ago. It never worked on their site, either, so I gave up buying from their website.

Update for me. I have a card that supports 3D secure now, but still the same error. Looks like I have to cancel the order, then re-add the items in a new order. I'll post if that works.
>>
Well, I got them to generate a new order, which got rid of the error. Then the transaction was blocked by my bank. So I called to have it unblocked. Now it's unblocked, but I'm having the first problem all over again. I put in my payment information, it loads, and then it kicks me right back to the payment info screen. I'll call my bank again tonight, and if that doesn't work, then I'll give up.

Using Chrome? Try to use a different web browser.
>>
>>6044100
I had the previous problem with my last bank. Changing browsers didn't help. And last time, when I tried to do it too many times, it threw the java.lang error.

I just talked to my bank. They said it was showing as approved on their end. Which narrows it down to 2 people. The fraud dept. at Visa, or Mandarake itself. If Mandarake was having problems across the board, they wouldn't accept foreign transactions, or they would tell me that their payment systems are down. My bank told me that Visa blocks these kinds of transactions due to currency conversions, for some reason. Now when I get home, I need to contact Visa themselves to let the transaction go through. Fuck Visa. I never had these kinds of problems with MasterCard.

The visa guys aren't seeing any transactions coming through on their end. It's a Mandarake problem. They said to try again in 48 hours. My card may be getting rejected from the system.

I tried again one last time to see if a change in browser settings would work, but now I'm just getting the same java.lang error. I'm done. I'm finished. I've spent a week working on this, changed banks, and nothing has worked at all. There is no solution. If you a receiving this error, and are looking on Google to try and find the answer, just save yourself some time and give up. Purchasing R18 materials on Mandarake with Visa is pretty much impossible. Just stick with buying SFW materials from their site. I've emailed them to let them know to cancel my order. Hopefully they'll use a different payment system that actually works one day.
>>
>>6044779
Just ask them if you can pay by Paypal.

It's PayPal that doesn't allow buying R18 materials. Mandarake doesn't use credit cards for age verification. They use them because PayPal's policies make them. Besides, I already tried. I gave up spent my saved fun money on different things. When I say to give up, I'm not saying it out of bitterness. That's genuinely my best advice. If you can't make the payment with a card, give up.
>>
Same thing happened to me last moth. I have a virtual credit card. I used to pay with Paypal but they ceased their operations in my country. From previous experience, I knew my card did not work on Mandarake so I used my father's credit card. Last month he was out of the city so I finally decided to go to my bank and get help about this problem. They said it will take 24 hours to solve this. Then, I waited for a couple of days and made my purchase. Surprise, surprise, I still couldn't pay. Then I remembered I had the same experience with aliexpress. That time I had used my gf's credit card which is also a virtual one. So I e-mailed Mandarake, explained the situation and told them the receipent and credit card holder names will be different this time. It worked and I made tye payment in time. Since we both use the same bank I think this has nothing to do with Manadarake or the browser I use. It is the bank screwing up somehow.
