It's good to see that not everyone is biased about RiD, that if they do have a nice or interesting design most will still appreciate them. I know that the line isn't the strongest, but it's definitely getting better so it's good to see that support.

The only bad thing I can really point out on MP Primal are his hands.
(aside from that paint scratch issue. seriously if you get primal, before you transform him check to see if those pins in his chest are jagged or not and sand them down before turning his heads)

They hold his swords (and I assume that mace) just fine, but the shape of his fingers make it fucking impossible to get him to hold any other MP weapons. It's pretty unfortunate but then again it's not like he really needs to hold anything else considering he has gun arms.

I somewhat doubt they'd give an IDW character the time of day when they can reuse the mold for a G1 character easily.

I tried it on Sentinel a few times. Not really.
You can do it if you want to distinguish the front of the train from the back a bit more but it doesn't really look better at all.

Also the clearances are different and the other side of the foot would drag across the ground (whereas the proper side for the train mode is about 2mm off the ground)

It's transformable in the sense that the RID version never did anything other than let the arms hang to the sides of the jet. They were always plain visible, but now they're more so because the shades of red are slightly different. The Generations arms are also slightly longer.

And I'm pretty sure the heads can't be switched. The RID head actually has much better articulation. She can actually look upwards, and aren't restricted by a collar when looking to the sides.

I don't own Devy, but FortMax has pretty good articulation, especially for something so big. Only thing he's really missing is up/down at the neck (he can swivel the head, but no looking up/down), better hand articulation (putting the thumb on a CW style joint would've been better) and ankle tilts.

Eh. I like the use of black on Motormaster. I'm not too keen on the rest of the UW set though, especially Cheesestrip.

As for the others, I think it's debatable. UW Superion looks better in combined mode IMO than its CW counterpart, and I somewhat prefer the individual figures. Defensor they screwed the pooch on, though I do prefer UW First Aid thanks to the extra paint. Bruticus is a mixed bag. Blast Off is better than the CW release by virtue of not being a literal straight redeco of an Aerialbot, Swindle and Brawl have a few paint touches I prefer to the Hasbro versions, and Vortex is a flat-out win. Onslaught is about a draw with Hasbro- both look good. The combined mode is where UW Bruticus suffers, with that daft cartoon-accurate shuttle chest.

Meanwhile UW Computron straight up blows the Hasbro offering out of the water.

I work in retail, when someone in a tf shirt (which is rare) comes up I compliment them, we talk about how we get into it, all the way into them bragging they own g1 metroplex being their biggest and they regret selling it while I describe what the newer one's glory is (still one of my personal choices anyway), its no secret that I'm an outright nerd at work, my regulars seen me toy hunting (young and old ask me about the latest hotwheels restocks, keen collectors know I keep shit neat even though I'm not the one actually stocking it or even working at where I hunt) and I hide nothing, I just suppress what I do know and elevate to meet what they know.

Star wars fans are the best because you don't even need to hide what you know to them, while I admit I'm trying to condense my collection (selling my weeb statues and currently in the process of ditching chugs) I'll never drop my interest.

I'm just lucky I'm an all rounder in other subjects that I can work in some geekery, some of my autistic and asp friends do this pretty well too, the key is to gauge the audience and make it so its fun for them.

But really, as long as you have fun in your life, I tried to quit gaming, anime, toys, went all religious and shit and after 6 months I was depressed as fuck, I just make sure I don't just buy what looks good but what I'm attached too and that my family and friends know it, and somewhat understand why I love it.
