D Amazing is the most stagnated display artist there is. Every single one of his photos involves a stone floor, one-colored backdrop, and one hero fighting multiples of one enemy. Good posing, but terribly unoriginal.

As someone who would like to do more serious toy photography stuff how is instagram as a platform. I hate social media but I dont have the time to run my own site. I've been using dA and MFC but both have minor quirks and community issues that irk me.

Toy photography's pretty much just for fun. You can enhance the enjoyment of a toy immensely via toy photography. My best "toy" ever was the cheapo point and shoot I used to have.

i'm doing this hobby for 3 years now, and i just took this to instagram a month ago because of all this competition and professionals in the scene, but seriously, you really get better after a while. i suggest you to learn about photography in general if you want to make this your hobby. of course taking pictures from time to time just for fun is cool too!

I follow D_thing and some ABCD guys, some of their stuff is ok, but like the Anons said, its really stale and boring. Not to mention some of their attitude gets in the way of really liking them as a person.

Try the Photo General here, the Anons can give some constructive criticisms sometimes. Don't be afraid to experiments and put your stuff out there. Some will love it, some will hate it, you do what you like. After all, its your hobby.
