So after looking over my Fortmax again, I cannot for the life of me figure out where these last two arrow stickers go. Theres no accompanying arrows on his right leg that I haven't already applied them to, and there are some under the plastic on his left leg. Is it for those? Picked up Apeface and Trion today with the Target sale-coupon. The purples are the same plastics so it's an amazing fit. Trion's body is buff as shit so it really works for a brawler.

I don't care about Allspark, but TFCC's attempt at show-accuracy is way different from Takara's show-accuracy.

For one, Takara's actually making their figures look exactly like the show models. The CW Tripredacus Council looks nothing like the Beast Wars CGI models, only new headsculpts that kinda resemble them.

I used the Target coupon on the minicons. I only wanted 2 out of the 4 molds so 16.99 was a pretty high price to pay. At 30% off though I was happy to get them.

They're super simple, but all their weapon forms are pretty decent except for the lance one. The stickers stick out sorely though. Since I already deleted the app I just ripped them off. The weaponizer minicons didn't really belong to either faction on the show any way.

Regular poses like standing and standing with the limbs stretched out, I guess.

Mindwipe is so frustrating. His bat mode is almost a complete wash, so that's out. His robot is actually pretty solid, but then they gave him weakest ankles I've seen in a transformer in ages so he can't even stand. I've even tried future on them, but there's just not enough plastic making contact to help. Ditto with his knees and hips. He could have at least had one really good mode but it's ruined by QC.

I'm not even sure what the hell his claw weapon is supposed to be or where it goes in beastmode.

For me it was the aerialbots but that's mostly to how Silverbolt made the best torso for dynamic poses and the fact I grew up with the team(Strangely Powergilde was the only other autobot I had baring Optimus Prime but I feel most 80s kids had him)

My favorite team as a whole was probably the Protectobots. I like the variety in their altmodes and the colors. Hotspot kicks Onslaught's butt for me.

Here's a hint, no devastator is a perfect g1 representation, hasbro ones merely "homage" g1 devs with their sheer BEST is in the cw/uw release, 3p's try to match with certain artistic liberties and some have made outright mods for the official one to be closer to g1 accurate such as the mixmaster cab front for foot mode.

When the leader Seekers were coming out it was near the same time Hasbro/funpub was officially retiring the 2006 seeker mold so that lead to a fairly critical eye to the newer molds out of fear who was replacing the original. That being said no idea why they didn't see it as an improvement over the 06 mold. The 06 mold was a mess of hindrances of movement, breaking/stress points and was just plain bad.

As much as younger gunpla owners may think they aren't toys, they're too cheap to handle even at larger scales, transformers retail figures are built so kids can enjoy them without the hassle of building it, I mean transforming it is hard enough you know (and transforming gunpla is a fucking bitch).

Right now the panel lines and the mountain of tutorials on pulling apart tf's are sufficient, remember hasbro is catering for the world wide market, not just japan and outside of japan its a niche to build your own "toys".

And one thing is for sure, for as stingy as hasbro is in budget they won't resort to build it yourself mentality.
