Bandai Figure-rise Mechanics Space Pod
vs.
Dragon Summon Space Pod
Which is better?

Clearly the one on the left, are you blind?
The crappy one looks best.
Get that one.

The one on the left is a model kit. That might turn people off.
The one on the right actually looks closer to the source material and has built in LED's
I have the dragon summon I guess it's called, I was just calling it the toydojo one.
>>6028393
Does that actually fit Figuarts Vegeta sitting inside with the door closed?
>>6028365
I retract my statement then. The Figure-rise looks like it has more internal detail but I'm sure it doesn't look that good without a lot of extra work.
>>6028608
You tell me.
>>6028649
You can't close it without putting the figure in a stupid position?
>>6028669
I could have crossed him arms but his hips are kind of limited for sitting. With the renewal version it shouldn't be such an issue.

I like the figurise better. Here's a nihonese build and review:

The Dragon Summon looks closer to me.
>>6028768
It's not. Look at pretty much any pod appearence except for the first episodes of the saiyan saga.
I guess the Dragon Summon should be the most accurate pairing with SDCC stupid early colors Vegeta though.
>>6028768
The shape of the door is way more accurate on the figurise, and that's what matters to me the most.
>>6027833
Pretty off topic here, sorry, but does anyone know any other model kits with perfect spheres? This looks like a great base for a Baby Magnum custom.
>>6028873
The Ball (that's it's actual name) from Gundam is the closest I can think of.

The Chrome is painted on. It's the only part of the minor color detail that doesn't have a sticker or is a separate piece of plastic.
That said, the Figure-Rise Mechanics is a snap-together model kit, so ASSEMBLY IS REQUIRED. But because Bandai gives all the other companies the smug-as-fuck middle finger these days, the parts are separated in such a way that the seams coincide with any natural lines in the source material.
BUT the F-R M does come with parts to make a seated-pose Vegeta.
Check the runners and manual (and completed model in a few days) here: http://dalong.net/review/etc/frm01/frm01_i.htm

Seems prety easy to just cut the silver part of the sticker sheet and use it to make two stickers for the pistons. That's what I would do.

The plamo looks closest to this version to me.

>>6029169
That's a great idea, and I feel legitimately retarded for never thinking of that.
>>6029169
have fun when you open it twice and it peels off
>>6028702
I swear this guy is making words up
>>6029237
Are you blind? The silver part of the pistons is recessed.
>>6029078
Yes it's painted but it was supposed to be like this right out of the box. Look at the stand too.
