Hopefully they will remake Deadpool like that did with spidy

Who else has been buying up a few Deadpools on amazon? It'll be my 10th, 11th, 12th, and 13th no-effort flips thus far, this fucking figure has already paid for my next 3 waves. God bless Hasbro for printing plastic money.
>>
I need that lady deadpool. Also has there been any word on when the figma deadpool comes out?

Meh. We need more oversized characters. A Classic Titanium Man would be sweet.

A Marvel Legend or Select of this version of the Crimson Dynamo armor would be great. Even better, it could be later retooled into Arno Stark's Iron Man 2020 armor.

I really loved that figure when it came out. Honestly, that entire ironman 2 line was terrific.

>>
>>6028943
They're popping up on amazon sporadically for $20 ($22 with taxes for me). Just getting 2 at a time (amazon's single order limit), not in it to get 20 in one swoop and fuck over everyone. I'm only out to milk the normies on ebay, not fuck over real collectors like people here, so I'm giving a head's up. Resale is all over the place, but basically is coming out more than double msrp on ebay. Keep a price watch on amazon, and do the Prime trial if you can, and set up one-click ordering.

Normies are fine to milk IMO, most everyone here is smart enough to know about price watch and can get a DP no problem. I've seen Amazon restock like 8 times for $19.99 already in the past 2 weeks and I barely even bother checking.
>>
>>6029067
Cool. Thanks
>>
>>6028838
I think I see thigh cuts!
>>
So I just bought pretty much the entire X-men wave at 12 bucks a pop on Amazon. I was mainly doing it for the BaF because getting individual pieces would probably be more expensive. But now that I have an entire X-men team, I'm in desperate need of villains. What good X villains are out there that could work with these guys? Preferably non-absurdly priced, impossible to find figures, but knowing how older ML figures are, I can see that not being an easy task.

>>6028838
I kind of forgot he was even coming out. I definitely plan to grab him when he finally starts hitting stores.

Black Panther Figuarts review by D Amazing.

What's up with bixnoods and their back alley diorama fetish?
>>
>>6029270
just checking ebay
the BAF sentinel and apocalypse would break $100 each
onslaught had a BAF too
magneto, mystique, and mr sinister are pretty cheap, stryfe just a step higher in price
>>
since they released a 3 3/4 quasar, whats the chance of a 6inch release?
>>
>>6029270
Pyro, Lady Deathstrike - can be had for a decent price, but Lady D isn't a good figure.

Sabretooth - there are 3 or 4 versions, all decent

Blob, Apocalypse, Marvel Universe Sentinel - pretty expensive. I regret not getting the MU Sentinel and Galactus.
>>
>>6029717
Chances are good (of the female Quasar being made)
>>
>>6029735
that'd be okay with me tbqh

Got Civil War Scarlet Witch in from Amazon. She's actually really nice, if a bit leggy. Her effects are balls though, they should've done something like the Electro fingers with wisps coming off them on an alternate pair.
>>
>>6029759
The bandai flame effects are actually pretty perfect if you have them. The colors aren't exact but they look very close to her powers in the movie.

>>
>>6028838

What is the point of Odin's head?
>>
>>6030574
So you can have his head on it like the time he wore it to fight the celestials or when he fought Thor (what this head is specifically based off of).
>>
>>6030574
the figure is of odin, it is the armor he wears, sometimes with the helmet off
>>
>>6030564
Looks sick, I have the War Machine and it's one of my favorite figures. But the RE:Edit Iron Man ones are not as enticing because they all fall in between ML and MS for sizes. Too big for one, too small for the other. The only Sentinel one that works for ML is Armorize IM, which isn't even part of RE:Edit, and War Machine works with MS because it's like a head taller than the IM ones.

True, Back In Black could have been a way for them to sneak it in. Off topic though: What is the general consensus on Spider-Gwen? I'm kinda tempted to go to some off-the-beaten-path places that I'm 75% sure may have her. The hunt for her it's almost as fun than actually finally buying her.

If you like the character and like the base body it's built on, I'd say go for it. There's nothing really pleasantly surprising about it, just a by-the-numbers release.

I'm thinking of getting the Face Off Iron Man as that is my favourite costume from the comics (And because that is how he looked in the older Marvel Vs Capcom titles).

>>
>>6035692
If it makes you feel good, then get it. Don't get it because someone else says it's awesome. And don't /not/ get it because someone says it sucks.

I still have my first legend displayed proudly; series 6 wolverine. Does he suck compared to the new one? No (claws yes), but series 6 wolverine was the one I liked at the time.

Be true to yourself, and your collection will be a good one.
>>
>>6035692
If it's one of your favorite designs out of the millions of IM designs out there, and you loved MvC, and the figure looks okay despite the older style and articulation, it sounds like you're hitting a lot of green lights. Go for it.

If you want a good comic-based recommendation, I would say the Sentinel Armorize Iron Man is at the top of the heap as far as toy design beauty goes but it is expensive. There's also the ML classic IM that was in a two pack and got re-released in the Iron Monger wave.

So, what are the must have Marvel figures of 2016?
>>
>>6036988
If you missed the figuarts cap from aou, the civil war one is pretty solid. People dump on their ant-man for being weak on accessories, but he's an above average toy and the best option for that costume in that scale.

Legends wise, there weren't really any surprises this year. If you like how it looked, it probably delivered. I'd say movie scarlet witch, nico, space venom, and either of the ultimate spiders were my personal favorites though.

Also, revoltech deadpool was a flawed masterpiece, if those are your thing.
>>
>>6036988
Miles Morales for sure.
Cable is ridiculously impressive for no reason. Just a way better figure than it should have been. For that matter, Kitty Pryde is probably the best use of that particular buck, along with one of the best faces they've done yet.
>>
>>6036988
As far as Legends go, I'm missing a few from my "want" list, but from the ones I have/have spent time with, MCU Strange, Nico Minoru, MCU War Machine, Spider-Gwen, and Iron Fist are probably my top 5 so far.
MCU Wanda, Venom, and the Spidey figures in the Space Venom wave are supposedly pretty good too.
I'd say this was a good year for Legends honestly, really bounced back from that lull where it felt like every figure was just the Buckey mold at least.
>>
>>6036988
Off the top of my head for ML, we got ones like Deadpool, Wolverine, Nico Minoru, Silk, Ultimate Peter, and Space Venom. MCU Panther, Wanda and Strange are pretty damn solid releases too.

For imports we got the Revoltech Deadpool, flawed as it was, in which I personally liked their Ultron more even with the limited hip articulation. Then we have SHF Tony Stark as standout figure. Also if you missed out on previous SHF Cap and IMs, there's the Civil War figures.
>>
>>6037039
I forgot the Absorbing Man stuff was this year. I'd add classic Venom on the list then if you didn't already have the MS. Heck even if you have the MS, they both complement each other in terms of offering more Venom variety in your collection.
>>
>>6037038
For that matter, Kitty Pryde is probably the best use of that particular buck, along with one of the best faces they've done yet

The face helps, but honestly I think it's just that she's got a ponytail. Female legends usually get garbage head articulation because of the hair, and she dodged that bullet hard. As boring as that particular costume is, she's probably my favorite out of that wave, which is a little nuts.
>>
>>6037049
Yeah, it feels like there's been tons of figures this year, which I personally think is a sign of good variety, I'm pretty pleased with Legends this year all around, there's only a few figures I can imagine someone would be disappointed with, and it sorta just comes down to what characters you like/dislike.
I actually just cracked open the newest Iron Fist and he's pretty rockin', the alternate hands are pretty rad.

If Diamond Select can get >>6028838 out before December ends, this will undoubtedly wind up in at least 1/2 of every /toy/ Marvel collector's display. It's going to be like $25 and weigh about 3 lbs of solid plastic.

What would you guys suggest as someones first ML?
Preferably something I could probably find in a store
>>
>>6038166
I'm going to assume you don't read comics or you don't have a lot of nostalgia invested in Marvel.

Maybe I'm wrong, and that being said, I've spent most of my time with Iron Fist, Peter Parker Ultimate Spiderman, and Wolverine. Lots of fun to pose.
>>
>>6038178
I actually really like Marvel I've just never gotten into the legends because I heard so much bad stuff about them from the weebs that I never bothered to buy onew for myself
IF is a definite buy if I can find him for a good price since he's probably my favourite character they've made so far
>>
>>6038166
what kind of characters do you like?
>>
>>6038206
I mentioned in my post above that most of my favourites havent been made yet so I'm mostly just looking for nice designs or the obvious stuff like Spiderman,Cap,Falcon etc
>>
>>6038065
Source material is shit but the figure itself is very well-made. I guess at that point you're just better off getting Agent Venom instead so you're not wrong.
>>
>>6032608

>>
>>6038065
I agree with him, and I haven't touched the book. I've put together every BAF this year though and he's easily the best. I didn't think I'd like him but he's top 5 easily.
>>
>>6037057
Wasp was on that body, and while the wings made her so top-heavy that the bum knee couldn't handle the weight, she was fantastic on a flight stand.
>>
>>6038391
Different buck.
>>
>>6038737
I need evidence (and don't have Wasp anymore). How many female bodies do they have?
>>
>>6037438
I have him posed on a shelf helping Iron fist and Ghostrider fight a demon, I have a custom cape that looks more like the comic.

He looks fine with out the godawful molded cape, Id like a cloth one from the movie since I liked the look of the movie Strange.

Hey first time anon here just bought an Iron Fist today!
My only problem with it is that some of his joints were extremely stiff and I had to do some DIY to fix them.
Is this a common problem in the line?
>>
>>6039254
Define DIY. What'd you do? Most of the time you can heat joints up and they get more pliable.
>>
>>6039257
Yeah I just had to heat them up.
Just poor wording on my part
>>
>>6039254
>Is this a common problem in the line?
In most cases, no. It's a good idea anymore to be really careful with any new figure. Hot water & a hair dryer are your friends.

Much like the art it helps if you fudge it with perspective, but he gets pretty close. The mold's not-so-great ab cruch holds it back the most, followed by the weak outwards range on the hips, then the fact that his neck can't quiiiiite look upwards enough.

Honestly, the slightly deeper crunch on the ultimate spider body is one of the reasons I like it so much more despite being smaller. Most spider poses really need that joint.
>>
>>6039348
Superior Spider-Man mold is best mold for the Spideys
>>
>>6039348
Thanks anon!
I assume he can pull off a similar crouched pose with both hands on the ground without forcing you to put in more work :)
He's probably going to be my second legends!
>>
>>6039356
I was considering getting him or Ben but his lack of open hands turned me towards Ben more.
Is the mold really a big enough improvement to get him instead?
(He's also MUCH cheaper)
>>
>>6039356
>>6039363
He had some weird proportions going on (ie, too much of his height was from his legs), but yeah, that was a really solid one. I basically used him as miles for two years until the one we got the new one recently. Honestly I think it depends on what costume you prefer, they're similar enough build-wise that looks will make more of a difference.

>>6039358
Sorta? If you're the guy who just got iron fist then you sort of already know, the hips and ab crunch don't really let him do it properly. The last pose was easier because it lets his torso rotation do some of the work to bring that hip forward.
>>
>>6039363
Better hip articulation, insane ab crunch the abdominal part is lest elongated Aside from that he is exactly the same
>>
>>6039358
>I assume he can pull off a similar crouched pose with both hands on the ground without forcing you to put in more work :)

Not really though. I don't think any of the modern legends are able to pull out the 4 point crouch pose properly.
>>
>>6039377
How's Mile's shoulder articulation?
Did they get rid of the the butterfly joints or are they just very well hidden?
>>
>>6039416
They're just regular hinge/swivel joints like most other legends. However, they still get really good range; the arms are skinny, so he can put his arms straight ahead pretty well. Also, he can put them straight down naturally, something the pizza mold can't do because of the muscle definition below his armpits.

I actually just picked this one up too (for the cape for a custom i'm making) but yeah it is really nice all around. I think you're supposed to work the staff into his grip by sliding it in from the top, or at least that's what worked for me
>>
>>6043002
Yeah, I ended up going with that, but I'm worried it's warping the hand permanently. Oh well, I might shave a little off the center later.

The whole strange wave in general was weird. It's a total cash-in you're-buying-these-for-the-baf-anyway wave, probably worse than the hulkbuster, but I actually ended up liking the individual figures way more. If you ignore comic strange with New Capeâ„¢ and iceman movie strange, they're all pretty fun.

You should really try and make your own, I have a custom cape on the movie Doctor Strange.

Its OK looking but I haven't had time to do make a proper one with the gold details, but it looks a whole hell of a lot better than what we got. Its move comic than movie with the huge collar.

He is whooping ass with Iron fist taking out a demon a friend made out of bionicle. If my phone wasn't on its last leg i'd take a picture.

If they made a decent MTG Jace he would be up there learning a thing or two from the good Doctor.

Eh, some of the Jaces are alright. I actually got one with a perfectly good face, just a shame he broke apart at the waist.

Id kill for a a few MTG characters with decent articulation. Funny how Wizards is allergic to making money, id buy half the planeswalkers if they made a set with Marvel Legends articulation, figuarts on the other hand Id only buy Jace.

Jace and Revan as on my have to buy list.

They scale perfectly with Marvel legends, I was going to rearrange my shelf to put Doctor Strange and the 6 inch Constantine. I feel Constantine would be trying to talk Strange in to planes walking to a dimension where they could get fucked up and laid.

I'm going to pick up the matty toys Master Chief to spar with Captain America, Steve needs a partner who can train with him. I have him next to Captain Mal, Captain Star Lord, and Nick Fury.

>>6043566
Personal opinion here, I don't like this at all. Its not that its bad I just don't like it.
>>
>>6043569
Wait, you don't know? Funko did a line of MTG figures with ML-level sculpt and articulation, and... er... it wasn't very good. I would say they were great figures at the concept and development level, but completely disintegrated on a production level, sometimes literally. I bought at least a couple figures that straight up had superglue on their joints, even.

On the upside, the entire line is now so fucking cheap you could practically buy a whole shipping case and go through until you find one of the one in twenty really good ones out of the whole thing.
>>
>>6043581
I know about the line buts its not worth even buying, the the articulation would never even be on the same level as Marvel legends.

>>6043581

The Legacy figures have great articulation, each one is at least Marvel Legends standards. The 5 POA stuff is their ReAction line.

>>6043589
The big zombie, the necrogypsy, and the elf druid gave me the least trouble out of the box. All three of them had few to no stuck joints, no paint problems, and generally were alright. Blue mage, fire girl, and the lion are all a lot more troublesome, and I've had to return one blue mage and two fire girls. That said, lion dude has the best design of the whole line, and fire girl is a lot of fun just as a neat character design.

Of the ones that don't have a lot of problems on their own, necrogypsy is by far the best. She has delightful articulation and sculpting, and her plastic parts are soft enough to let her move in all kinds of ways, despite all the stuff she's wearing.

3. SpiderkUK
>>
>>6043759
Beast there would hardly be the end of the world. He's drawn differently depending on the artist, though often not that skinny, I've definitely seen some that do look like that. That said of course I'd like a beast to be chunkier.
>>
>>6043566
Sandman looks really good out of nowhere, so I guess I'm completing another goddamned baf this year. Ms. marvel also looks well done, but I can only hope those arms don't snap off.

Green goblin also looks really good, but that body sucked big time on hobgoblin so I'm not looking forward to him.
>>
>>6043759
While I'd prefer a bulkier Beast, for sure, when they inevitably use the Jackal body I won't be too upset. It's not perfect but it's close enough that I can see where they'd be coming from in not sculpting a whole new furry body when they just made that one.

>>6043832
I'm hoping that since the arms are made to be swapped out, they've improved how they're made and won't have the breakage issues other female figures on that mold have.

That's not even confirmed dude. I think Zendaya as MJ would be fucking retarded but at least wait until it's 100% fact before getting mad about it.

Now Flash Thompson's casting, that's bullshit and confirmed. Fuck that.
>>
>>6045774
Oh man, don't even get me started on that. Is there even any point to calling him Flash if the only quality he shares is being mean?

Proportions are all kinds of fucked. Head's too small, shoulders are too broad, forearms and calves are too thick, legs are too long, and almost none of the muscle definition shows through the fabric, making him look like a regular guy wearing a shitty costume instead of the superhero from the comic books.
>>
Dorkside has preorders up for loose sandman wave figs.
>>
Anybody have the recent hobgoblin figure?
How did he turn out? I'm lacking villains and was thinking about picking him up and the new green goblin up as well.
>>
>>6045777
Surely he's going to be Twitter trolling Peter, and his username is "Flash".
>>
>>6046103
I thought he was pretty disappointing. His shoulders are stiff as hell and can barely move 45 degrees up because of how they clip into his torso. His glider is also tiny, which is already not great, but it's also made of really bendy plastic as well. finally, his ankles don't bend upwards, so it's hard to get him actually crouching on the glider.
>>
>>6046129
That's disappointing. I'll at least pick up Green Goblin
>>
>>6046144
Well, green is basically the exact same figure with a new head, so I'm not exactly hopeful.

One of my favorite Captain America comics is when Kingpin hires Bullseye to kill Red Skull. So I gave my figure a sai and pistol grip shotgun. I'd like to find a vest too.

So I went to Gamestop the other day and they FINALLY decided to mark down the Hulkbuster wave figures that were warming the pegs there forever. Decided to get me Blizzard for $10. Always wanted him because I like his design but no way was I going to pay full price.

He's about as basic as a figure gets but that's fine, he has a basic design they couldn't do much with. Wish he had some ice accessories, though...
>>
>>6046568
That was the standard to have varints back then, so I guess the whole industry was jewish
>>
>>6046574
>Wish he had some ice accessories, though...
Yeah, him and iceman both. Ice effects are surprisingly hard to find, it's all fire and explosions.

>>
>>6046669
Weird how audience differers by region. Here, it's Misty as far as the eye can see. No sign of any Space Venom figures anywhere.

Have the money for one of these figures, so i'm deciding to jump on Mezco's ship and give them a shot. Which fig should I get, Cap or Punisher?
>>
>>6046691
Cap is awesome but Punisher will be awesome x2
>>
>>6046319
So how come I'm not seeing the autists coming out left and right about how dynamic poses are going to hide the bottom of the white symbol? Breaking up the symbol was hailed as a cardinal sin of the Select, this is even worse. At least you could see ALL of the Select's symbol at any given time.
>>
>>6046735
Because it sort of looks like it ends, instead of splitting it in two. Not really as noticeable.

That or the figure is so busy it's hard to focus on one thing.
>>
>>6046463
I've got Nuke and that vest looks perfect, but I think it might be too big. I'll try it later though, thanks.
>>
>>6046744
It'll be even worse because when you tuck him in for a deep pose the pelvis piece will hide the bottom completely. Or if you put a tilt to his hip like he's twisting his back slightly you'll see one end point of the symbol and not the other.

I don't really care either way, but it's interesting that the autists aren't harping about it despite it fucking up the presentation of the symbol worse than the MS.

>>6046760
don't give the shitposters ideas, mate

Has anyone here ever ordered something off of Dork Side Toys before?
>>
>>6046379

Why does he look like shit?

You will probably say the same thing about venom when it turns out you need to pose-away the gaps in his articulation too.
>>
>>6046827
They're pretty solid, and they sell loose stuff for alright prices if you're not into the BAF game. They did fuck up on an order of mine a couple months ago, but they ended up giving me a legend for free so I can't even complain about it. I'd recommend them.

The only thing I wish they would do is streamline their preorder system.
>>
>>6046827
I've been ordering their for awhile. They're great, but the only time I've ever had a problem was when I pre-ordered a Spider-Gwen when she became available again when I also ordered the spaceknight wave, and when the spaceknight wave finally started releasing, they sent me a message saying they might not have the spider-gwen, and when I emailed them back about how disappointed I was gonna be, the representative said he was going to make it his goal to track down the spider-gwen figure, and he got it within the day.

Buying loose figures for when I don't want the BAF is pretty great too so that you can save a couple bucks.
>>
>>6046691
Punisher doesn't have scales flaking off so he gets my pick.
>>
>>6046558

I may pick one up when everyone inevitably dumps theirs on ebay in favor of the new one.
>>
>>6046319
My main complaint is that he's too shiny & it doesn't even look black. Might be good as MvC Venom.
>>
>>6047200
I think, color-wise at least, they're going for more of an Utimate Venom look. Ultimate Venom pretty much always had a similar coloration and build to this one. Ultimate Venom was only shown with the classic Venom symbol a few times in the comics, all mistakes, though it did gain the symbol at one point in the Ultimate Spider-Man video game.

From the tiny head, really muscly build, eye lenses and right down to the stretched-out mouth/tongue, it reminds me of Toybiz's Spider-Man Classics Venom except crazier, and I mean that in a really good way.

Which is cool since I loved that figure except it had lot of shit holding it back from being a truly great Venom figure (i.e the non-moving rubbery head and inoperable action feature).
