chances of a Revoltech Black Panther since the Figuarts one is said to be a disappointment?
>>6025348
I hope they don't waste another figure on that literal who, honestly. So many other, more popular heroes would deserve figures long before Batman: Africa Edition.
>>6024836
This makes me wish I'd been collecting figures when the Winter Soldier wave was released. I would have bought a few AIM and Hydra soldiers.

Kaiyodo will actively avoid characters already done by Bandai unless they are big sellers like Batman and Iron Man. Ultron was a coincidence, it wasn't like they made it because Bandai's was lame, doesn't work like that. Kaiyodo has a much limited release schedule so they will focus on the popular heroes that most Japanese folks would know about.
Deadpool finally arrived today. I had it 5 minutes before the peg to attach the sheaths to the back somehow snapped off. No idea how it happened as I basically picked it up, pegged them in, put it down, and when I picked it up again the sheaths had come off.
That said I just cemented and pinned the peg back on and in a few hours I'm going to sand the peg down a little. Hopefully that won't be a problem again.
Anyone else have this issue? Also like half the neck is weirdly glossy.
>>6025655
>Anyone else have this issue?
That's been the biggest complaint over the last few threads.
>>6025665
I haven't been keeping up with the threads. I also sanded the sword hilt pegs a little while I was at it because I can see those being an issue too.
>>6025674
>I also sanded the sword hilt pegs a little while I was at it because I can see those being an issue too
I see where you're coming from, but I don't think it's a clearance/tightness issue. The pegs are just incredibly thin, clear plastic, so they can't really take any flexing at all.
Also, be aware that the actual swords use the same peg internally, so they're equally fragile at where the base of the blade meets the hilt.
>>6025638
Could we be getting a classic Captain America?
>>6025687
>Also, be aware that the actual swords use the same peg internally, so they're equally fragile at where the base of the blade meets the hilt.
Well fuck, I'll have to be careful with them.
I'm tempted to leave this head on him for a while.

That's all I was thinking while taking the photos. Would've been much easier to convey his swinging motion
>>6025700
Maybe. Difficult to judge about heroes with (more or less) open faces right now. For comic book characters especially since they can look very different depending on who drew them. For full or half masked heroes the deviation can be more forgivable. I think Kaiyodo will focus more on characters that needs that high range of articulation so shield wielding Cap might be low on the list in that regards.
>>6025729
this would be perfect if the neck didn't stick out so much. I'm a sucker for mascot-heads on otherwise cool bodies.

Thoughts on the Revoltech Gurren Lagann figures? I saw a Enkidu being sold for $40.
>>6026302
They are all pretty good, I think normal Gurren Lagann (or with wings) is the best of them all. The other GL up and downgrades are just fine too. The Enkis have a bit of an issue with the chest face not working like you would want it to work. Hard to explain but it's like there are too many moving parts and some don't stay put. Lazengann has cut joints wrists ans hips so it depends if you like that type of joint scheme.
>>6026039
I need to see this to fruition now.
>>6026392
So basically top 3 would be Regular GL, Lazengann and enki/enkidu. Plus is it just me or the figures look too small?
WHEN
>>6026434
Nah, for me top 3 would be regular GL then 2 other GL upgrades. But it's better to have 2 bad guys so getting those 3 is a good idea. Enki has better option parts so I'll go with that even though that one and regular GL didn't coexist in the show.
And they are smaller, not as bad as other early Revoltechs but robots tends to be smaller in general.
>>6026164

>>6026164
OK, so the revol joints they used for deadpool's ankles, what size are those and how common are they? I always hated the thin ones they used for raiden's, and I just swapped them out for deadpool's and they're a perfect fit. They hold ratchets much better, don't look too much worse, and actually give him some extra range.
The muv-luv stuff is super cheap on amazon for instance, if I could get one of those only to replace the ankles it'd be worth it. I just want to make sure they're the right size.
>>6028541
Aside from some variation among smaller joints, the pegs are usually about the same diameter. If they end up being a bit loose, you could always just wrap the peg with some tape to compensate.
>>6028548
Sorry if I wasn't clear, I meant the diameter of the actual joint, the clicky part. Like I said, the pegs are a perfect fit, I just want the slightly larger ones with a stiffer ratchet.
>>6028551
Diameter of the spherical part? Most likely, yeah. Just shoot for any one and try switching out the various joints until you're satisfied. Worst case scenario, you have a cool robot with guns and/or blades on your shelf.
>>6028551
If you don't mind a lack of clicky. Hobbybase sells revoltech style joints that get used for garage kits and to replace broken revols.
>>6028557
>>6028558
I ended up buying one of the muv-luvs, I figure it's only 15 and the accessories and spare joints are worth it for other stuff even if I don't get the right ones I want.
Also thanks to whoever suggested heating the sockets for loose joints, I put ultron under my bathroom heat lamp for a minute and it improved him a ton. He can actually stand properly now.
Anyone here habpve Revo AND Damashii Ingrams? I'd like to know how they compare.
>>6029322
Well, I got my reissue Leanardo and Donatello. Donie was fine, but Leo was defective. His right eye is higher than it's supost to be, so he never looks right. I'm getting him replaced, I'm really disappointed.
>>6029874
>first world problems
>>6029890
Yea, I know. It's not that big a deal anyway, I'll just get it replaced.
>>6028641
did you just heat the empty sockets or did you have the joints inserted when you heated it up?
>>6029922
I disassembled as many joints as possible, because apparently heating stuff with the joint in will loosen it. So basically I had the two thigh pieces, the upper torso, and arms. The joints don't appear to come out of the elbows and hips, so I just tried to heat just one side of those parts.
>>6029910
Did the place you bought it from offer to replace?
I don't think most import stores would consider that a legit QC issue.

This dude showed up in the mail today and it's pretty alright for the price, especially considering it's 5 years old. The ankle joints are also the right size to swap for raiden's, and even better, he comes with four of those double shoulder joints that are a pain in the ass to find loose.
More than anything though, it makes me wish we were still getting mecha revoltechs. Some super robots with modern articulation on par with deadpool would be amazing.
>>6032818
>it makes me wish we were still getting mecha revoltechs. Some super robots with modern articulation on par with deadpool would be amazing.
Me too. UC is trying with their Sentinel sculpted mechas but they are working off of Yamaguchi's old articulation schema and are overpriced. I think Kaiyodo's balances their prices among their different releases where as UC charges more for the costly/under-produced figures.
Also I missed out telling you, just grab any one of the Assemble Borgs and you will have some extra joints except for 4mm. MuvLuv Revos are really good though shame no one bought them.
And I happen to have another wish list collage made for Yamaguchi mecha revoltechs. TV Evangelion remade with his standard humanoids articulation mold would be cool.
Since Bandai has all the fun Nagai Go robots, how about some minor ones like God Mazinger or Mazin Saga? Kaiyodo is better at the more organic looking robots anyways.
Jinki would be nice since a new manga started and the author had dealings with Kaiyodo before. (Speaking of Jinki manga this is the third time he started a new series without finishing the previous one...are we getting another flashback bridging the two, only to end in that flashback, again?)
And I think it would be funny if he made Leopaldon as part of Amazing Yamaguchi.
>>6025564
That range
Does the Mk 45 actually look this segmented, or did the OP not push the joints in all the way?
wait a minute, wasn't this thread on auto sage for reaching bump limit?
>>6036326
Welcome to revoltech.
>>6041759
Seems like all people who buy revoltech care about only a few releases, they've been talking only about the fucking deadpool for two threads, but when l tried to discuss hebikera l got like two replies and that was it.
I never see any hype in revol threads anymore, it's all about deadpool, ironman, please rerelease this naked woman, and that's it.
>>6041818
It's almost as if the more popular property of the very limited amount they have will garner more discussion! Who woulda thought
>>6041818
It's tough to keep discussion going when the amount of new releases diminished quite substantially. Well if you ignore stuff like Sofubi Toy Box.
TBA list just gets shorter and shorter because nothing new pops up, the Ustream show ended so I don't get much hints or teases for future projects, and price inflation has prevented many people from buying Revos that are not MG or Marvel related.
Union Creative didn't really kept up with the release load we thought they would taking over for the general Revoltech line and I think that hurts the most. At this point in time I'm not even sure if they intend to continue for the next few years.
>>6041818
I'm a freelancer at the moment and client payments don't come in until end of next month so I can't make any big purchases. I've just bought the Takeya revo dragon and the fuckin eyes were defective, that put a dampen on the fun a bit since I loved the Kirin to death.
Hebikera, I'll be getting eventually but am not sure if I'll prioritize that over Shin G SHM (also a Takeya figure... from a Bandai line). It's getting to the point where all of the figures I want are going to set me back $120+ each... Not even taking into account the figma God Hand yet... It's a bit tough being a Takeya revo fan, hobby stores don't like stocking them because it's a niche within a niche and I'd like to compare paintjob and QC now whenever possible. Not to mention, it'd be nice to be able to see in person and decide which I want: full color or rust.
>>6042351
I have been buying the rust version for all the jizai okimono syuff, mainy cause the color version is just too colorful for me.
Hebikera, on the other hand, l decided on the colored one because its colors are not bright and l really love it.
Btw rust version is already down to 9500 on amazon jp.
>>6042793
Kirin I knew I wanted it in rust. I wanted the Takeya skeleton/oni-4arm skeleton in bone color but could only find rust-color in the shop near me. Still love it. I was undecided on the dragon, because I did find the blue really appealing but chose to go rust as well.
Hebikera, I'm debating still which color to get. The colored ver is really cool but I think I might actually get it rust colored. Also, do you know if amazon jp will ship toys internationally now? Few years back I tried ordering a toy off amazon.jp and they said they can't ship toys.
I see your Takeya 4 heavenly kings. I'm only missing Ashura and Bishamonten from that, I also chose the colored ver for that set.
>>6042997
I don't think they ship internationally, you can try anyway.
If you want l can buy and send it to you for 500 yen, but be ready to get raped by shipping cost cause the box is needlessly huge.
I have all of the buddhist statues, all colored but kannon, cause colored it just looks like a creepy fat guy lol.
>positioning Venom Snake's eye
>hand jerks the eye in the wrong direction
>move eye back
>half the paint has been scraped away
>go full retard and panic
>try to reposition the eye so it isn't so noticeable
>more paint scrapes away until there's barely any left
>end up having to give Snake Raiden's blue eye
The paint on Raiden's eyes must be better or something because I've been more than a little rough when it came to changing them out but no paint ever rubbed off.
Maybe it's the way Venom's eye socket is made compared to Raiden's, I don't know.
At least Raiden's blue eye looks good there, even if it's a different shade.
>>6043302
It's just a mishap with the eye print process. I ended up getting a few since it kept going on sales and none of them had that sort of issue.

About the only thing I'm not liking is how the fingers are all parallel with each other. Fingers don't work like that, but everybody who makes articulated hands does it anyway. Aside from that holy shit yes give it to me. I am curious about what kind of shoulder joints those are though, because those arms look way too heavy for the usual double revoljoint setup.

He's gonna be expensive but I'm liking the movable fingers, tendrils the extra large mouth. Hopefully it comes with a non crazy head.

Fuck I was hoping those shoulder spikes were gonna be part of the removable pieces.
What do you think the price is gonna be for this guy? He looks to come with a bunch of shit. Definitely over 10,000 yen I'd say.
>>6046404
You can see a hinge pretty clearly on the right leg (our right, not his). But on the other hand, if you look at the area below the knee on the left leg, you can see a hole of the sort usually seen on double hinge joints, which makes me believe that Venom's knees are double-hinges (the top joints probably ratchet).
>>6046412

You may have noticed already but from other pics it looks like it can go 135 degrees or so which is the best you can do with a bulky mold. Why you assume that pic was full bend anyways?
And can I just say, so many bitched about Spidey's knee looking terrible, Venom went for the visually appealing choice and if that still gets a lot of shit...then you people can just eat your ML and shut up.
>>6046829
Probably. I wish the releases could be every 2 months. The guy used to release like 2 revos per months, plus who knows how many more that didn't get released.

>wanting a premium venom from cuhrayzee man that doesn't look like the symbiote
Who the fuck are you people , and why arent you satisfied with the marvel select or legends again?
>>6046689
Not thrilled at all about the hinge knees. I hope they change it to a revo joint in the final product, but revoltechs don't usually change much from the prototype so I'm not holding my breath.
>>6046689
damn, I like that jaw but the veiny scratchy body surface with the splashing symbiote effect is a bit much for me. I'll... but I don't know when else I'll get a revoltech Venom... That Spider-Man is now looking a lot more tempting.
>>6047380
Hahaha no You're right it wont change from here, maybe colour, and strangely it might shrink a little in size. Not sure how that works but it did for Deadpool.
I get you, I wanted to utilize part swapping more since Venom is a shape sifter to a degree, like become an arm or tendrils from the knee down. In this configuration it is all one connected piece from the waist to the ankles.
It doesn't look like Union will be showing off anything VulcanLog related? Well so far I don't see anything. New Sofubi is Penguin if anyone cares.
>>6046358
I really dislike the veiny look, personally. I prefer Venom all smooth and stuff.

So a few days ago Senmu tweeted the next Yamaguchi figure was a red guy, turns out he was just talking about Spider-Man...
Which wasn't even the new figure that was revealed. Got me excited for nothing.
>>6049608
Well it was venom so I can't really get mad

But we knew about Venom from day one. He sounded like they were going to reveal a new character we didn't know.
>>6049657
>inb4 it's just another ironman
>>6049702
Considering we don't really have a well articulated comic IM in ~1/12 scale, I'd be perfectly fine with that.
>>6049702
Oh I'm sure they will do one eventually, but IM especially can be a very different figure depending on which suit they pick to do.
And it's always good to get a definitive selection for the future, and not some senile tweet for a figure that already went up for PO weeks ago.
>>6047324
no.
>>6049657
How do you convince them to do Wolverine? It's right up Deadpool's alley.
>>6046698
Pre-order when? I just busted out my marvel select and realized how fucking awful the articulation is. I need this now.
>>6046305
Would be the perfect venom figure if it werent for those stupid shoulder spikes. They look like bones, not symbiote at all.
>>6050174
I was talking more about the ones sculpted onto the arm and shoulders.
>>6050094
u knoe
>>6050221
I would murder my first born child for this and Doku
>>6050131
I don't see the big deal myself. Granted I have both the Select and recent Legends. So for me its nice to see a Venom that has his symbiote acting out.
I always said I'd try keep just one figure of any particular version of a character. However recent time has been pretty good to Venom. I think I'm gonna diversify it by having the Select as the Madness, the Legends as the McFarlane, and the Revoltech as the crazier, modern interpretation.
>>6050227
Ryu's costume is just a skintight suit with nothing in the way besides the scarf, so he'd easily be among the most articulated revo's. I also feel like they'd give him a decent assortment of extra weapons, like his bigass tonfa or the scythe. The Falcon's Talons would just need to be a set of extra hands and feet.
I also really want a fucking Dante redux. He and Ryu go perfectly together in my mind.
Personally I think every one of the comic Revos look absolutely terrible but that venom looks particuarily awful.
Kind of a bummer since I had convinced myself that even Yamaguchi couldn't fuck up Vemon.
>>6050446
Just get the Marvel Legends or something
>>6050131
theyre clearly removable. stop being a little faggie.
wew lad can't wait for the dozens of complaints every thread from now on about Revo Venom's looks from people who think they know everything about Venom and how he is supposed to be smooth all the time because all they can think of is "b-but muh 90s cartoons and MvC!" nostalgia.
Like holy shit the symbiote is alive it doesn't hurt if it looks like it's moving or bubbling
I'm glad Yamaguchi actually tried to do something different.
>>6050462
Only the tendrils are, the spikes all over his arms are not
reeeeeeeee where is the green goop??
Anyone have the Vash and Wolfwood figures, Are they so old that they're shitty?
>>6050576
Vash is fine, jacket parts are fiddly af and the double joints in the knees can be a pain when trying to get him standing. Wolfwood is really oddly proportioned, has the double jointed knee problem, and the faces don't look that good. Still a good companion piece though, and lots of nice accessories.
>>6050576
I only have vash but he actually holds up really well. In fact, I wish revoltechs still used the knee and shoulder setup he does. Regular revoljoints at the hips shoulders and elbows, and joints at the waist AND torso which is particularly nice. I know some people aren't a fan of the dedicated knee joints he has but I like 'em.
Downsides
>visibly tiny head
>revoltever is molded into his hand
>the coat is kind of a mess, no way around it.
>>6050484
I was one of the ones rooting for an MvC inspired Venom, but I am glad I got this still. Yamaguchi seems like he was very inspired Classics Venom here. His even lacks the white patches this one does. That's I always admired on and off again back when I was starting to seriously get into collecting. I was always let down whenever I remembered how hampered it was by stupid decisions, so I never bought it. Select and Legends Venom filled the gap somewhat, but I always wanted a straight up monster Venom in my collection.
It seems like Yamaguchi looked at this and said, " What can I do to fix this pile of broken dreams? Oh, I know:"
>Get rid of that stupid fucking failed gimmick that put a jarring, big button on his back.
>Just make his jaw articulated instead like any normal person would have done. Also articulate the tongue.
>Thus give free motion back to his head.
>Give him accessories that make sense.
>Get rid of those weird white lines they painted on his brow.
>Give him a better base to stand on by making his feet bigger.
And as for the texture and finish he gave his that everybody is talking about:I think it looks much better than the original. It made Venom look like stone.
It's essentially Classic Venom 2.0, which ends up hitting me nostalgically in a good way I was not expecting. I only see 3 drawbacks. Probably won't be as big as Classics since Yamaguchi is scaling these to the big name Japan was collector lines. There might be less motion in the knees, though there is trade off since his arms can bend much more. Finally the tail end of spider logo seems to get easily lost in his hips. Should have painted it on the hip piece. These don't bother me much though. I collect this lines, prefer more motion in Venom's arms, and the logo is a pet peeve at worst for me. I love it still, and I cannot wait to get it.
>>6050528
I'm noticing some gaps around the shoulder areas, like he is wearing a small vest piece. There might be a slight chance that back section and the arms swaps out with regular arms and head to give it that tamed look. You notice there is none of that swooshing anywhere else on the body.
Just a theory as there is no info yet if that's all we see included with the figure or how mush it will be.
But since only the head arm and back has that exaggeration I think they have something in mind.
Some more pics of Venom from Tokyo Comic Con, which is a new thing?
>>6050813
>commercialism conners in glorious nippon
I wonder if trendy bazinga styled western weaboos who discover loli and shota blog about how pedophilic the country is leading to massive closures lol no way go homu white pigu
I'm liking the side view of the head.
>>6050821
And that details on the tongue.
One with a strong flash.
Despite what people thinks, it's the right move for Yamaguchi to go all out like this, because who else will really?
>>6050831
Okay so there is clearly a gap in the upper body piece between the chest and shoulders.
I'm betting the back piece that has the ports for all the tendrils can come off so it can have a smoother back.
And maybe alternate smoother arms.
>>6050831
Most here like it, we have at best two IPs that are upset by this design.
>>6050844
possibly. He won't have the same amount of accessories Deadpool and Spidey had so it's all possible
>>6050850
I am worried though the size, tendril pieces, alternate eyes/expression pieces, and just having more parts for the mouth and hands eats up all the option parts slot. Or they go for like a 8000 yen plus Revo and have that alternate look.
>>6050131
ey wait wait, so the upper arms are swappable? Because, really the one thing that's bugging me really badly is the swooping little leftover symbiotes on the back of his tricep. I get what they're supposed to be, but it's instant pre order if this is how it'll look.
>>6050859
Then again I guess they save more on the painting process for this guy as it has less detailing to deal with.
>>6050861
Not sure at this point. It is a possibility since they haven't shown that typical display of "here is everything that's included."
>>6050861
Oh, and that pic is clearly photoshopped.
>>6050831
Man, really hoping the spikes at the back of the arms are removable or swappable. This is really one of those few US characters I had wanted out of Yamaguchi or revoltech other than Spider-Man.
>>6050844
Yeah. It looks like Yamaguchi is taking some cues from the Selection and giving him a backpack, but instead of the Madness it's more generic, more playable symbiote goop. Pretty good choice I'd say. Yeah, the Madness is an interesting display piece, but more a more play oriented toy the tendrils will be more fun.
I just wish there was a piece that sit more flush with his wrists though. The piece they swapped his hand with on this display is a little too thin and obvious for my tastes.
knoe
so, any more pics or any new revoltech announcements? I'm ready for more Takeya revoltechs too. That Ghibli Takeya hebikera sure was a damned surprise out of nowhere.
>>6050930
I don't think so. Tokyo ComicCon will just be American stuff and anything like that would've been shown at Miyazawa.
For now the focus seems to be with the soft vinyl line. They're nice looking but I'm sure it will be another failed attempt by Kaiyodo for trying something new.
>>6050937
I'm actually excited about that line, the salamander is looking great. I'm... actually... I actually would buy a revoltech line of just realistic animals with really extensive articulation.
>>6050944
wait, there's a Komodo dragon? Where'd you order them from?
>>6050951
ok nvm I found it. No articulated jaw though, salamander still reigns supreme for me.
>>6050962
Yeah, the salamander is really looking good for just swivel cuts.
Hebikera... Now can any anon who has it post more pics? I really am trying to decide if I want the iron rust look or the actual colors.
>>6050940
I've been saying they should do a Revoltech animals line ever since Nanael came out and had a great working wing.
I think the size of the sofubi animals are all over the place though.
looks like a buff Carnage, not muh Venom.
looks like a proper Venom. Definitely muh Venom
I hope Yamaguchi does Carnage next. I know there are probably people who don't want to linger on Spider-man characters. Neither do I. However, Carnage would definitely benefit from Revoltech articulation.
Though with Yamaguchi seeming to stray away from the McFarlane style, I wonder which artist he would take inspiration from in designing a Carnage?
>>6051236
carnage and spiderman 2099 is all I want.
>>6051236
Whatever design he settles on he will certainly add a dick neck.
>>6051236
It won't be next.
I haven't been to the Japanese Revoltech thread in a while, but someone there brought up a good point.
When Senmu gave that random tease about the new reveal at this event being a "red guy" which turned out to be Spider-Man, Yamaguchi got confused and name dropped a few characters like Carnage, Daredevil, Iron Spider and Flash. This means he hasn't even been told to make those characters yet.
Also since he didn't say Iron Man, there is a good chance he actually made (or going to make) one already.
Judging by this clos up of the tenticles, I think we're going to be able to remove the things.
>>6051445
Yeah no shit. The fact that it is a Revoltech pretty much guaranteed that already.
The theory now is that the entire piece it connects to can come off like a backpack.
>>6051445
We already know that, look at the thread
>>6051343
>>6051437
Eh, it isn't super important to me that he is the one right after Venom. So long as he gets done at all I am happy. Plus with him being one of the characters he name dropped, I am sure Yamaguchi then is interested in giving Carnage a go.
A more classic, comic Iron Man would be nice too. As much as I love the super technical designs of modern Iron Man, it would be nice to see more of his simpler suits from days of old.
>>6051580
I'm interested if he did Flash. You can do a wide variety of running and turning poses thanks to the greater range in the neck and shoulders that Yamaguchi figures have.
What would be a good price for pic related?
I'm heading to Tokyo next month and hope to get some cheap souvenirs while I'm there.
Sick and tired of paying "Import and storage" costs when buying over here.
>>6052542
4k-5k is the standard.
>>6052542
>good price for pic related
>I'm heading to Tokyo
Good luck.
>>6052631
>le ebin irl stores are not cheaper than online shops
simply ebin
>>6046305
I wonder If you can remove those tendrils. I dislike wenom with big tendrils.
>>6052765
Oh stupid me, I should have gone through the whole thread before asking this.
>>6050094
I need it.
>>6053110
They already have the effect so...
>>6050221
>>6050227
I want to recreate this epic fight
So I guess we are still getting new blood (probably those who buy ML dominantly) that don't seem to understand the fact that pretty much every part of a Revoltech is removable because the joints are designed that way.
Only recently has it gone back to the way of hip joints not using revolver joints or some built-in hinges, but generally speaking all moving parts uses the joints with straight pegs.
#NotMyVenom
>>6026164
Holy shit.
I usually say there are no good photos in this place.
Way to shut me the fuck up.
>>6055237
Deadpool's release really increased the general quality here.
Where's arthur?
Interesting, Deadpool's price jumped up on Amazon Japan. Pretty stupid since you can still get it from Kaiyodo directly if you must.
>>6056511
I should've got one when they were around $60, damn.
Then again, it's crawling closer and closer to Christmas day by day, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised shit is beginning to disappear from stock for any given toy everywhere.
>>6053115
ideally it would be just like that, but three curves. And then another one for the X-shape.
goddamn the new MvC announcement and the possibility of more mahvel revoltechs is giving me some kind of feelings.
>>6055795
Fuck Arthur, where's Beat?
Does anybody else have Gigan?
Is the right "pincer" around the mouth suppose to be more loose and misaligned from the left?
I noticed and it's been flaring up my OCD, but I'm assuming it's just made like that on purpose ala Woody's non-symmetrical hat, and so the pincers can fully close in them mouth without them touching each other. Drives me nuts though.
Why is the deadpool revoltech 70 fucking bucks?
>>6059457
Because everything in Japan is going up in price due to their shitty economy being fucked. Revo's jumped from $30-40 to $60-70. Figma's are going for $70+ with no fucking accessories.
>>6059537
>that ass
>those elbows
>>6059537
>seperate pieces for the back of his shoulderblades
I'm not really sure what's going on here. Like, is this gonna be the butterfly joint from hell or something?
>>6059618
Looks similar to how Ultron was handled. They were separate pieces that moved similar to butterfly joints for some range of movement to the joints for the shoulder.
>>6059618
Just some floating pieces. The horse has a few of them.
>>6059682
That was the first thing I thought too, but ultron's were just separate layered parts for more detail. They didn't really add to his articulation any more than if they'd just been included in a chunk with the rest of his body. These just actively break up what I'd expect to be a smooth sculpt, so I'm not sure what they actually do.
>>6059694
I would assume to swap out ones that arent riddled with holes.
>>6059537
>holes everywhere
I TRUSTED YOU TO MAKE THE PERFECT VENOM
>>6059734
We were already shown images of it with tendrils that were obviously plugged in and removable. You can't do that without holes
>>6059734
just get a nigga to uselessly be popping caps in his ass.
>>6059734
Who cares about holes?
You should be worried about unsightly joints making the figure look disjointed like Deadpool and the TMNT.
And so far, Venom's mass is hiding all that perfectly.
>>6050831
this looks cool, but im not a fan of those red lips?
unless its supposed to be his gums, then it's not working at all
>>6061351
Those are gums.
>>6063720
>ywn get this venom
so how much is venom gonna be?
>>6063731
I don't think a price has been stated, but I figure around the $80 range, maybe as high as $100 since he looks pretty big.
>>6063735
God, I miss the days of revoltechs being the cheap import option. They've definitely improved so it doesn't sting as much, but man.
>>6063748
Well, they still are cheaper than other options. And some of the older ones are cheaper than dirt, like all of the Muvluv stuff.
>>6054548
I kind of miss the thigh joints having revo joints in them. made cattleya much easier to pose and modify if I wanted to put in bigger joints for a pose. I have sakamoto and the old style thighs on him are kind of wonky.
>>6059532
Already have Deadpool and and Spiderman is on preorder! I want it ! I want it now!
>>6063735
Has a revo ever been that pricey?
>>6067273
They're starting to hit figma tier prices at this point. And of course a bunch of older ones cost a shitton if they were popular, like normal color Raiden, Ed & Al Elric, Melona and Menace, etc.
>>6067273
I think the answer you are looking for is, yes some Revos were pricey from release. Hebikera was over 100 dollars and there were a few in the past that were like 2x or 3x the price of the normal revos at the time. Those were bigger size revos like the Zoids and Raoh + Kokuoh pack.
Are there known instances of bootleg Venom Snakes? As far as I know no Vulcanlog stuff has been bootlegged but I've seen a lot pop up recently on ebay all from chinese sellers.
>>6067938
Never buy from filthy Chinese.
>>6069056
...but they make all the action figures
>>6069255
>making stuff for other companies who set stringent standards vs making stuff for themselves or to do illegal shit on the cheap
There is a difference.
>>6067938
> bullpup design so it hinders the hand holding the weapon.
Have this figure and I hate that.
>>6069281
He kind of just had shitty hands. None of the right ones really gripped his accessories well at all.
>>6055570
Increased quality here, sure. But everywhere else, it got much worse.
>>6070661
???
oh baby
>>6070700
Jesus fuck, that's hot.
But the toe articulation looks limited
>>6070700
Can any other spiderman figure get that pose down?
>>6070660
I agree but then again Revoltech seems to be under collector's radars unless it was a super major character they know like Deadpool or video game series like Metal Gear (but then again only so many companies seem to handle MGS)
>>6070700
This is all I would have needed to see to preorder if I hadn't done so already.
>>6070897
Look at the back leg, it's warped. I think there is a joint at the shin.
If this photo was taken at a different angle it would look so fucked. I guess it's the only way to get his feet that close together.
>>6070921
There is a joint at the shin, been talked about before. It's doesn't really look bad from a head on angle, but I think the big issue here is that most of the crunch is coming from the neck joint.
>>6070897
I think the bigger issue was balancing the figure at that pose, where all the points of contact are close together at the center of mass, making it easy to topple over.
To get the pose balanced with the length of the straight arm he had to keep the toes like that I reckon.
>>6025553
You mean the to-getter list.
>>6070700
is he gonna come with the magnet attachment?
>>6071442
Yeah
>>6070722
The one from Civil War, kinda
>>6070660
This fucker didn't even attempt to properly place the gun in the figure's hand
Venom promotional photos!
>>6071996
Day 1 shots should be interesting
>>6071996
>that second pic
Jesus. I was the fence, but I think these just sold me. This guy looks properly bulky.
>>6071996
>can man handle spidey with the hinge
I need this right now
>>6071996
Goddamn it, I didn't want him until I saw that shit-eating grin.
>>6071996
With all these photos having the same swooshy arms kills my theory we might have replaceable arms and backs. I guess the shoulder blade pieces are separate for some sort of added articulation. Not that I mind those arms in the first place.
So the main figure, some alternate upper head covers, some tendril pieces and the stand my guess is the price of Venom wont bee too different from the other Amazing Yamaguchi revos.
>>6072154
Gotta be at least 1500 more yen
>>6072155
Maybe. But this much size difference technically shouldn't change the price that much. And this guy should cost less for paint because less hands are involved. Body is just two colours and then you just need detailed paints for the mouth. At least that's my understanding of the way of things. Plus how many they make which I'm guessing wont be as many as Spider-Man but not so different than Deadpool. Then there is how much you can ask for it before people thinks it's too much...like oh it's bigger so it should cost more trickery Such as PAKs.
>>6072013
>>6072150
>>6071996
It's fuckin beautiful. Everything I could've hoped for. Is the release date somewhere in there, or is that not known yet?
>>6072214
No dates, just size and "Spider-Man not included."
Here's a hint, if it's a number between 1 and 12 that tends to be the month. I don't think they ever use kanji numbers for promo materials.
>>6072214
Oh I just found this haha.
April release. Looks like 3 months window is a thing now. 8424 yen, so like 7000 plus at most places?
http://figsoku.net/blog-entry-48837.html
>>6072238
PO starts tomorrow btw.
>>6072238
Some information of note are:
Shoulder blades are on ball joints.
4 holes on back for symbiote parts.
One optional head, 4 symbiote parts and a stand. It doesn't say how many but I assume the face parts are a separate thing. Or is it just one different face part? From pictures I guess that is the case.
That means we saw everything that's included already.
>>6070660
FUCK, this pic made me cringe
everything bout it is shit
>>6072238
i love this pose
>>6072238
I expected worse, he has more range than I thought he would. This thing turned out way better than I expected. This line is going great so far.
Articulation is really well hidden too.
Fuck, not even a venom or spidey fan and I kinda want.
