Hello /toy/, not sure what thread these cute little robos would go under...
Lots of stores (amiami, hlj, amazon) still have these girls in stock and I was wondering if anybody else has bought them.
Tried looking a little but there hasn't been a lot of info of them online.
How is the poseability/accessories/paint application?
Any info at all or cute photos would be appreciated!
>>
The main figure is painted but the weapons and stuff are all molded in single color plastic.

The parts that are painted are well painted, but mine honestly falls apart easily. I don't know if I just got one with bad QC, but limbs pop off a lot when I repose her.
>>
>>6020802
They fall apart easily, at least my batch does, also the stand doesn't work for some of the set ups, and considering how small their feet are, it sucks quite a bit, other than that they're fine, honestly, if you like how they look, you'll probably won't be disappointed.
>>
>>6020802

shinki thread would be where they go, if you're looking for a general.

>>6020848

That's how they all are. Japanese buyers are outright drilling holes in them and replacing the balljoints with hobbybase joints.

I bought one, of course I opened the box and got the worst fucking one (top left corner, literally has nothing, look at how cool the other ones look)

Oh well...yea it is kind of cute but yeah, you can barely move it around without it falling apart. I say, fuck it.

They should make a Hatsune Miku themed version

Why? The whole point of the line is customize your toys.

I'd say if you really like how they look, you should get a single one first to get your feet wet on the line. Mandarake and Rakuten sellers have them for around MSRP and they even tell you which one you'll get. The only downside is you only get one face (looking left, front or right) in each box.
Megahouse seems to want to keep it around for a while. There's new releases and restocks down the line. So supply shouldn't be an issue.
Honestly they're not that good for the price, like others said the joint system isn't the best and they're incredibly tiny, gachapon sized even, so getting a full box of 6 is kinda overkill.
Still I love mine and I'm considering giving her hobby base joints. And custom faces, if I can find them

Twitter is full of customization options.
This guy used an Obitsu 6mm joint for the neck plus what I think is a 5mm polycap.

Another custom using revoltech joints. Most joints require a bit of drilling to fit better

I cant seem to find them in Rakuten.

Someone has a link?

And in Mandarake, how do I search them (the romanji I mean?

yeah that's a nendo bootleg price, that would explain the quality

If they were 8 mms tall and with that level of detail, it would have meant Megahouse has defied some law of physics probably.

Not sure what world you live in where something selling out isn't a good indication of success or popularity.

Thanks! But at 3 for $20 each I may be better off buying a whole set. Could always resell the extras on bst
>>
>>6031491

It's not just a loose joint problem, baka gaijin.

The joints are single pieces with no moving parts. Posing is somewhat limited. Also doesn't help that the socket doesn't hold the peg ball very securely so things keep falling off.

The additional weapons are mostly useless for play in that regard. Move em and they drop.

I got the scout from manda for ¥800 and I don't feel it was worth it. I was expecting a little robo girl I could fiddle around with at my work desk. But it's so flimsy that without HEAVY mods it's mostly a pose-and-leave-it kind of figure.

I need my goddam fix. Also anyone remember Pasha Yome? It was something similar to this that Bandai released in 2008 most likely in reaction to busou shinki, same height but no joints, just arm swivels and a head rotation. I have a few, gonna dig out later and compare with this

I was really on board with these when they were first announced because of the designer that was making them. When I got them in hand, they were super fiddly and fall apart really easy. The lack of paint vs the advertised pictures was very disappointing too.

In the end I only opened 3 blind boxes before deciding that I really couldn't take them falling apart all the time and I didn't have time to mod them.

imo not worth it unless you have the time to put into them.

>>6028908
To my knowledge the book never sold out, there were printing problems and it was never released, they went over it on the main site. That was a handful of months ago though.
>>
The hyper-extension in the elbow on the middle bottom one bugs me.
>>
>>6040441
They fixed the joint issues with the rerelease.

The original publisher, Novelize, actually went out of business the month the book was originally due to release. Several months later a different publisher picked it up and it's now sold out on amiami.
>>
>>6020802
What are they called and how much? They look pretty cure
