Looks like the Chinese have begun bootlegging the new Archetypes. If anyone is willing to take the plunge, ask sellers on ebay to send you a pic of the figure in its package. Lots of these sellers have been using photos of both the old Archetypes with the new ones in the sale's pics. They can still do a switch-a-roo but from two of the sellers I've messaged I've gotten non-stock photos of the new Archetype bootlegs. The old Archetype bootlegs are decent if you want the old style ones but don't want to shell out, and are good fodder for customs, so maybe the new versions' bootlegs might be okay too (not holding my breath).

No it's because he took the photo with the camera turned sideways. When you view a photo on the camera the software automatically rotates it according to how the person holds the camera. It always looks right.
When you post it anywhere (not just 4chan) the info in the photo file says it's landcscape, and posts it as such.

You're correct when you say he needs to crop it and resize it, but he needs to make sure it's in portrait format otherwise it posts sideways.

The joints are almost the same as the new figma ones, they are just integrated into the sculpt differently. This was a tiny figma so obviously they are more of an eyesore. Shinobu Hoshino is a recent figma and the arms looks even worse because they tried to integrate the joints better but that made the arms too fat.

The white in the horns is normal. They paint irregular patters that way, remings me of Mami Tomoe's corset. If you zoom-in on some recent figmas you will notice imperfections too. Yugi's collar comes to mind.

Some will say that the new wrist joints look way worse in some cases, it was a common discussion back in the day. I like both, the only ones who were a pain in the ass were the first ones with a ball peg.
I own a shitton of old and new figmas. The only major improvements are the wrist and in some few cases the new pull-out shoulders. They also imporved on the sculpt deparment but the change is not as great as some people seem to believe and there are duds from time to time too as far as sculpt and paint goes.

In japan being a lolicon is not as a taboo as it is in the west.
Looking for imperfections in girls that make them seem goofy and thus younger, childish, is mostly related to that.
Dumbo like ears, weird teeth, bent legs, big eyebrows, high pitched voice, tan (girls usually get tanned only up to high school because of club activities and shit), etc.

I'm stuck with considering whether or not I should buy my first Figma.

I'm a big fan of PMMM and I spotted a School Uniform Homura in a retail shop while toy hunting. Only problem is, I'm too fucking ashamed to actually buy it.

I'm not too big on being open about liking anime, I generally like keeping quiet about it because I detest stereotypical weebs. But at the same time I do want this figure just because I like having figures and toys of stuff from my favorite shows.

So my question is: how do you guys deal with the general shame of buying waifu dolls? And should I go for this figure and try to not kill myself from the embarrassment?
