>>6009960
I'm gonna need a few of those.
>>6009891
It looks cool and I like the concept. However, I only have mega bloks anymore and no longer have any Lego. I feel that better game rules can be created that are better balanced for mega blok figs and weapons.
>>6009974
theres also an official Halo ground combat game by spartan.
>>6009974
>It looks cool and I like the concept. However, I only have mega bloks anymore and no longer have any Lego. I feel that better game rules can be created that are better balanced for mega blok figs and weapons.
Well you can still use the rules for Mega Bloks, but I will admit the ranged weapon simplifications due hurt when it comes to the variety in Halo...
...Still, this is why we have FUDGE!
>>6010005
>theres also an official Halo ground combat game by spartan.
There was also suppose to be one for Halo Mega Bloks, but I don't know if anything actually came of it...
>>6010018
I'm thinking about using Combat Storm rules as a basis for a Halo system, it would work well enough already for CoD. Not that I'll ever have an opponent for any games, heh..

I wonder if the 3rd Halo Legendary Crate (or any of them) will ever have a MB/MC figure. I guess Halo Icons was supposed to replace them, but I'm still curious.
>>6011045
I think that anon said last thread he was in Alabama.
>>6011055
There might be a few reasons. One is that it might make Destiny be too Halo-like and 2 putting them in would relegate them to the status of the current enemy vehicles in the game in that they appear in a few missions and the Combined Arms Crucible list. Plus multi-seated vehicles would have to be resigned to things like Strikes or Raids which use fireteams.
I gave the Starwinder helmet a lick of paint. Left is before (how the helmet came in the box) and right is the result. It looks better irl.
>>6011371
I've been thinking of adding paint to some of the Destiny figures, how well does it hold?
>>6011266

I wish MB would make the original PR stuff for collectors instead of 4year olds. TMNT has a good setup, newer stuff for kids and the classic stuff for older collectors.
>>6011675
oh nice, the set i really want is the one that comes with the Big Phalanx, cant be to long until amazon has them in stock, thanks for the heads up that the sets are popping up on amazon, might get that red...titan guy? admitingly i do not actually play destiny, but these figs look awesome :P

Since the Rethuglicans control everything now, expect that to be overturned in short order, along with forced church attendance. You can always secede- oh wait, the thugs will just send in the army to massacre you for doing so and take the land back.
>these people claim to believe in a loving and caring god as well as Jesus, who was practically liberal in his ways
>they are violent, despicable people who look down on everyone, are filled with hate, do not follow their religious rules and are massive hypocrites about everything, and they hate feeding poor people despite Jesus doing so
>>6012459
Could be worse.
>>6012354
Well at least the command center has an alpha 5 and putty to fit in with that gift pack that was released a few years ago. I honestly thought they had lost the license. I was thinking the TMNT setup was a no brainer for the license too. MB was kicking ass with all the new stuff until this. Damn.
I won't touch MB for 2 reasons
>hideously overpriced
>nothing they make scales with Lego minifigures
What good is the Technodrome in Lego format if it's not even compatible to fight against the Kre-O Terror Drome because of differing figure scales?

>>6012771
There's no regular Carter in the Foxtrot wave, presumably because he's already in the newer Elephant set.
Sorry.
>>6012799
And by newer, I mean newer than original Elephant before they introduced the current articulation scheme.
I saw some megablock HALO mecha at Walmart the other day, and I was wondering if they're any good. I have zero experience with megablocks, but won't lie that building a little army of Spartans and shit seems fun.

Because I don't. If that's as much effort as MB is going to put into PR I wish Lego would get the license. At least we'd have a good chance of getting a bunch of teams through KO companies.
>>6013159
They won't break and the articulation is awesome, the issue is that bits and pieces fall when moving. They're great display pieces and great for some careful posing, but not for play. I like them a lot, so I got 3.

They're also great for gaming minis. They're available everywhere plastic building brick systems are sold.
And you're right, they do need more licenses.
>>6014533
Yeah, they're normal sets. When looking for them, be aware that the new destiny stuff is labeled Mega Construx. I's the same stuff, though. The new, more collector oriented stuff will be called that, while the kid friendly stuff will remain mega bloks. You should be able to find them in any large store, like walmart or something.

>>6015947
Thanks for the pic anon.
Fuck he's tiny. How well does the armor fit on the Destiny body?
>>6016073
Which armor? The Brute's on the standard Destiny dude?
Destiny figures are CoD sized, maybe slightly taller from larger head pieces.
>>6016101
The brutes if you'd be so kind
>>6016117
It really doesn't fit.
The brute bodies are halo scale, but thicker. Their armor is super loose on other bodies.
Mixing heads and shoulder pieces seems viable, but chest piece doesn't look too good.
On a related note, the brute heads I have don't fit right in the huge Destiny bodies. They're just super loose. Not as much of a problem with CoD or Destiny heads.
>>6016145
Damn. I may just buy the brutes regardless and have them as Manlet enemies for my guardians.
Thanks for all the pics though anon! It's much appreciated.
Also to all Marylandfags, found both new destiny armory sets and both Sparrows at Toys R Us today. So if you're east coast keep your eyes peeled.
>>6016188
The brutes are still really nice figures. I'm getting them regardless of size, and just treating them as other beast alien guys. Wish they were bigger, but meh.
The New sparrows are at toys r us in southern California too. And most of the newer halo and CoD sets as well. Not the new Destiny armory packs though.
>>6016198
I just got the 2 new Destiny armor sets, bought 2 of each so I could have all 4 displayed. Can't find the hive seeder or the 2 sparrows though.
Im kinda sad how halo dudes are basically all manlets now.

Head, torso, crotch, lower arms and legs from the Brute.

I don't know. I'm too afraid of touching them. I suggest you use a varnish to protect the paint though. It might also be a good idea to use an undercoat before applying paint on unpainted plastic.
What I do know is that ink is having trouble staying on MB plastic.
I can't wait for the titan armory. I'm gonna paint the shit out of it.
>>6016863
I was hoping for names of the individual pieces. Most of it has to be another brand than Brickarms.

Thanks for the help.
Is there any site that tells you which fictional guns are from what movie or game?
>>6016512
Yeah, what happened there? Did they make the CoD guys bigger, and just never scale up the new Halo stuff? Or did the Halo stuff get smaller?
>>6017185
http://www.imfdb.org/wiki/Main_Page
This might help you out some, however it doesn't go much into sci-fi or fantasy.
>>6017242
They probably kept the new Halo figs at that size to stay in scale with the older Halo stuff, as well as to differentiate from the other licensed lines. They aren't under any obligation to make all their themes to scale with each other.
>>6017242
They kept the HAlo figure the same size as the older figures.and vehicle compatibility.
CoD was always larger.= in size.
>>6017130
Dude, he looks neat like that. I think I'll paint mine dark grey and then paint the lines with a pen like I did with my hunter.
I suggest you open the picture in a paint app and paint various schemes on him to see what looks best. I think the Cerberus colour scheme from Mass Effect 3 will look great on him.
>>6017242
Halo has always been that size and CoD has always been bigger. Halo, Ass Cred, Tmnt and terminator are all the same scale, Cod and Destiny are the same scale.
Is there anywhere you can order singles of troops and "army build" aside from in the standard packs and on ebay?
Anyone who bought the lepin haunted house have a tip to make the ghost parts fit?
>>6017754
What other way do you even need? A lot of the blind bags have generic troops in them, and there are those 4-5 figure builder packs, as well as the customization packs.
I'm not even sure what other options you're looking for.
>>6017815
There aren't any blind bags for the CoD troops.
or anything like the Halo stuff you mentioned.
There are tons of squad boxes for both CoD and Halo - packs with 4 troops (formerly 5, in the good ol' days), some gear, and a display of some kind. Plus larger packs at TRU usually.
Getting "generic" CoD or Halo troops is exceedingly easy.
>>6015454

It's also nice to see how these threads no longer linger and go days without any real posts. MB has really upped their game.

I dont really know where else to go for general MB info, it seems like each license news gets picked up up fan sites for that specific license
>>6018943

>>6019070
There are a few forums, but it's even slower than here. Also fb groups, good for leaks, autism galore.
>>6018980
I feel the same way, though more for the color mismatches but I don't hesitate to use other brands if something I'm working on will benefit from it.
The badass figure articulation they started with the CoD figures is what got me to even look twice at MegaBloks. And since then I've gotten way, waaaaaaay too into it.
>>6019408
Agreed man. I remember buying the first desert squad of cod (one of the old ones with 5 figs) and being blown away. Now I've sold almost all the other figs and buy almost exclusively mega bloks.
>>6019529
My son has all of my old Lego now. He has some Halo mega bloks, but mostly I have the Mega and he has the Lego.
Easy way to keep both. :-P
>>6019529
Mega Bloks couldnt have come out at a better time. I actually quit Lego. When I was a teenager all I would try to build was scale military vehicles and figures. However, no matter how many brickarms I put on a minifig, it never didnt look ridiculous. No, elbows, knees, or knecks made it impossible to pose guys in a way that looked good. Mega Halo was a godsend to get me back into playing with plastic bricks. Even the old halo guys blew Lego figs out of the water. I actually got ostracized from MOC pages because I started incorporating Mega figs into my MOCS. It didnt matter that the posing and detail was better, it was mega blok, which is bad (lego uses more large single use pieces now than ever before and Mega uses more blocks. funny how that worked out)
>>6020322
Yeah, I recently got the new desert tank and I was impressed by the fact that it's all bricks. No special pieces unique to that set, only the hatches I think. The quality is still kinda bad, some missing pieces and it sucks waiting for the replacements for cust service. Other than that, everything is too good.
>>6018584
i don't live in the US, any good site that ships internationally that sells the Destiny sets with the big guys?
i don't seem to find em on ebay and the like
>>6020452
The hatches aren't unique either.
>>6020452
Ever since I picked up the Ghost helicopter, I've been very impressed with just how "brick built" all of the Mega Bloks sets really are. It really feel like they go out of their way with the CoD sets especially to make them really detailed with an absolute ton of "regular" parts.
So Cal Ross stores seem to have some good MB sets in currently.
I've found the CoD radar base, the green apc thing, some other smaller sets, plus the newer Halo Scorpion tank ($15), the Halo firebase sets ($22), and some others.
I'm hoping I can find another of the radar base sets. That thing is amazing.
And I'd love to find at least one more Firebase. These sets are fucking epic.
>>6020870
the Westwood Village Marshall's in Seattle had the Vulture gunship, ghost, banshee, SEAL sub recon, and Terminator time machine(!) all for about half price
Anyone else collect the mb ninja turtles? They aren't all that bad. The foot troop packs make for good army building, too.
>>6021312
I have the classic ones and stockpiled the foot ninja from the movie. They're great!
>>6021340
Fuck yeah! I picked up the 4 classic turtles, 12 classic foot and 5 movie foot today. Worth every goddamn penny.
I've started seeing the single pack movie turtle figs on clearance so my movie foot army grows.
Found the new sparrows today and got my first Titan. I'm loving these sets and really want the larger vehicles, but have a hard time justifying >$20 purchases to myself no matter how much I want them.
Also, how well do the CoD bodies work for putting the extra armor on, are they compatible?

The only Destiny set I've yet to buy is the Hive Seeder. The titans are the fucking shit. The new Cabal Colossus is too fucking small though, but the Phalanx is cool.

>>6021838
4 armed guy is a Fallen Captain and you can get on in either of the first wave Destiny Sparrow sets or the Fallen Walker set.
>>6021841
Thank you my friend
i think this set is new?
its listed at amazon.com for 25USD, with amazon prime
freaken 12 dollar shipping fee to canada though
also what are the little d12 things supposed to be >.>
>>6022121
Yeah, that's the Hive Seeder set.
Coincidentally, this was the first set we knew about in this new wave, yet it seems like the last set actually making its rounds in this new wave.
Also, those little "d12 things" are called Engrams. Enemies drop them, and they're a random encrypted item that you take to the social space and have an NPC turn into a respective armor piece/weapon.
>>6022133
ahhh ok, i dont actually play destiny, but the figures do look very nice, and the one video showing cabal forming a battle line and a bunch of them slamming their shields into the ground is quite awesome
Since Mega Bloks seems content to make $200 Halo sets that sit on store shelves, I'm really hoping they'll make a scale-model set for the siege machine from the new raid.
>>6022121
>Another Warlock
God fucking damn it. You're lucky the Warlock figures look so fucking amazing, or if be completely tired of this shit by now.
>>6022160
Their $200 sets are all fucking amazing, to be fair. I wish I could justify buying them, but I only grab mid-range sets most of the time, and larger ones once they hit discount shelves.
>>6022210
We knew about this set like, six months ago.
At least we didn't get any more filthy Hunters in this wave.
>>6022213
I'll admit, I pay very little attention to the specifics of most releases until it's possible for me to actually grab them.
>>6022218
To be fair, the news on these sets is all over the place.
This second wave wasn't even announced or shown off.
The Hive Seeder set popped up on some retail site early in the summer as some "coming soon" thing, and no one even knew the new Sparrow sets or Armory sets existed until they started showing up in stores.
Literally the first time anyone had even heard of the new Sparrow sets was maybe three or four threads ago when some guy started finding them in Texas.
Went to TJMaxx today and they had a ton of Mega Bloks for cheap, with most of it being Vultures, Banshees and Ghosts. Picked up this CoD radome for $17 thing to give my Destiny stuff some scenery. 11 Guardians vs. 7 assorted enemies, Mega Bloks really needs to put out some more bad guys, this is getting really one-sided.
>>6022693
Up on the dome
>>6022693
That looks really cool. And it's an issue with the cod line too, no enemies to speak off.
Does the Cabal Interceptor fit either of the Cabal figures in it?
>>6022877
You know, I don't think we've ever actually seen a Cabal in an Interceptor in the game. They are always just parked somewhere those few times they've shown up
>>6022877
I think they're supposed to be piloted by the little Psychic dudes. So probably not.
Saw pics of more Power Ranger sets over at rangerboard. Red and yellow with their megazords but Blue has Goldar in his set so that's halfway decent I guess. It still sucks they're still using the older style body. Even knee joints like the nick tmnt would have been more than welcome. Maybe we will see some movie stuff. Those suits might look good with halo or destiny depending on how MB does them.
>>6022693
Mega bloks for some reason has something against 'enemies.' There must be something were they cant be fighting and violent unless their aliens. Thats why there are no tan or grey versions of the WWII troops, or green helmeted Modern Warefare guys (even the green army builder has guys with tan hats. that way there not enemies with the tan army builder).
>>6023531
Ha, that's exactly what I do! Use the different colors (green, tan, grey and the black seals) as different factions. Isn't the Juggernaut an enemy in the game too?
>>6023196
Power rangers is for babies and retards
>>6023531
>Mega bloks for some reason has something against 'enemies.' There must be something were they cant be fighting and violent unless their aliens.
I've literally never seen anyone make this claim about MB. LEGO, yes, since it is well known that they try to maintain a squeaky-clean family image.
With MB, most of their properties are just "Human guys vs Alien guys" anyway. CoD is really the only one that's just normal dudes with guns.
Even AssCreed had human guys fighting each other. I guess I can agree that when modern weapons and modern military guys are involved they're maybe a little bit more conservative toward how the figures and characters are displayed fighting each other, but they don't have problems with humans vs. humans in some of their lines.
>>6023793

There were technically "enemies" in a couple of the WW2 sets, nothing more than darker uniforms but otherwise the same helmets, equipment and weapons. There were also faction patches on a few figs of the more modern times sets, honestly CoD factions are so generic already it's not a stretch to have enemies that look nearly identical to the "good guys".

I want to move to your parallel dimension. Is Bernie president there too?
>>6023531
I agree. As a "villain" myself I feel the "bad guys" are underrepresented in toys. This is almost 2017 and toy companies are still racist and biggoted. We need to start a moral diversity movement, march alongside our social justice bretheren (our groups overlap in their majority after all) and demand that we are not ostracized and marginalized for what we are.
In all seriousness though bad guys tend to have low sales.
>>6024858
Ray dome set has 3 guys. Gas mask guy, helmet guy, and balaclava guy. All of them have tan bodies. These 3 kinds of figures are also in the first desrt troop pack. So at most, there are subtle bad-guys, but never any obvious ones (only in CoD).
AssCreed had bad guys but its a historical setting and technically its the assasin who is the bad guy.
>>6023531
>>6023793
The deal is, Mega Bloks in general and Mattel in particular don't want to turn on the news and see "BARBIE AND HOT WHEELS CREATORS IN HOT WATER: PUTTING NAZIS AND TERRORISTS IN YOUR CHILDREN'S TOY AISLE!"
So all you can really do is pick out characters with a distinctive look and decide they're a faction. Sometimes it's easier than you'd think.
This chuchu1028 person on amazon must be making pretty decent profit, hes selling the new sparrow sets for 34.99 USD + 4.99 shipping

Also, TRU has started their markup of Destiny sets. $11 for the armory sets, and $18 for the Sparrow sets at my local TRUs. Fuck.

His head is incredibly loose, like his neck is broken or something.
Also, what do you guys think of the exoskeletons? My assassin's sash and hunter's scarf have cracked and are almost cut just by being posed for a while, and I'm afraid the same might happen to the delicate-looking harnesses.
just got this yesterday for $8
>>6028384

The TRUs here in the US have some of the fuckhuge Halo sets like, 20% off on clearance. They also have Destiny, Halo, and CoD sets on sale, buy one get one 40% off right now.
I also forgot that they raised the price on the Halo Heroes figures from $5 to $7, and they increased the prices of the blind bag minis by $1.

Never painted a Megabloks figure before(also haven't painted in a long while) but I decided to try and do the Misfits Crimson Ghost since I'm still a bit gay. Not terribly thrilled with it but I don't hate it.
Might try and paint another at some point. Also the chest armor is from the halo Flamemarine that came with the cyclops. I dig that chest armor and it fits so fuckit.

it seems to me like bungie had a lot of great ideas and a bunch of goals for destiny but kinda gave up halfway when they realized they could probably put out a mediocre product (gameplay wise) and get away with it
here's hoping destiny 2 turns out way better
>>6029122
Its more like they decided they could divide their game up into like, 5 parts and charge some $150 for what should have been a $60 game.
But really, vehicles are almost a non-entity in the Destiny universe. They're just a total afterthought, and there's almost nothing in the game, gameplay-wise that really requires them.
It was part of the reason why I was kind of wondering how the hell MB was going to do sets for Destiny, since there really aren't any noteworthy vehicles in the game.
The first Jumpship was probably the most iconic thing they could have done, but other than that, there isn't really much.

Now I will get 1,000,000 of them!
>>6031425

>>6031374
A paratrooper was exactly what the line was missing. Excellent addition.
My racing sparrows finally arrived. The only Destiny set I don't have now is the hive seeder. I literally have everything else plus the 2 limited figures. Shit's dope. I still hate the fact that of the 21 possible guardians half of those are warlocks, though. Give me more titans!
On a side note for those of you who play Destiny, you know the hunter figure's ammo belts that wrap around their leg and you can put their knife on it? Well the hunter in the walker set has 2 belts to hold his knife AND hand cannon. Is that a specific of his particular armor set or can any hunter wear 2 belts? I ask only because, like everyone else, I buy 2 of each armory set so I can have both figures but am left with extra parts but I want to keep everything as close to game canon as possible. Same with shoulder pads, can non-titans wear dual shoulder pads?
I finally got all these fuckers together and took a photo.
>>6031743
The belts really are just there for aesthetics. Hunters normally have armor that'll have knives just strapped to them everywhere (see pic). The toy can do it so it has somewhere to store on the figure. However the Handcannon on Hunters is stored on the hip, like a gunslinger (no pun intended). As for the dual shoulder pads on non titans, it depends. A lot are arm bits will be symmetrical and have 2 shoulder pads but both Hunter and Warlocks do normally have these gauntlets where they have only one shoulder pad but the choice is up to you.
>>6031347
>Zbierz wszystkie!
Fuck you too, MB!
>>6031347
>Those containers
>>6031945
Lots of Titan armor and Marks also have sheathed knives, even though knives have nothing at all to do with their class.
In-game its mostly just there to kind of look cool. Although, in some instances, they go out of their way to make the item actually sort of make sense with the perk on it (like how the Armamentarium Armor has two grenades strapped to it. Even though your character doesn't pull the grenades off, its still nice aesthetic "continuity.")
Fucking Mega, and I just spent my toy budget for the remaining of the year on the technodrome. Goddamit.
>>6031743
You can do what you want with your toys, they are yours after all. If you want to give them extra ammo bandoliers or pauldrons then go ahead. To answer your question, though, see
https://www.bungie.net/en/Armory/Detail?item=3280714642&itemname=Dustwalker. Notice how the hunter is only wearing one belt? That's how it officially looks. So, assuming you want to keep canon as you stated, you can only equip one. See also the Dustwalker gloves in that same set to see how the hunter is only wearing one pauldron.
Question that i'm sure has been asked here before. I 'm really interested in the Mega Bloks Star Trek sets but have had lots of issues with the brand before with missing pieces, pieces that didn't stick together well and general flimsiness. Now that was quite a few years ago and I've heard the quality has improved but i'm still apprehensive, can anyone vouch for them?
>>6033252
This may not helb, but I've bought halo, cod, destiny, tmnt and terminator set and yes, I've had missing pieces and deformed parts, but it's not the norm. I'd say it's happened 4 times out of 60 sets. Also, their customer service is superb, they send the parts without hassle. I never bought any of the older sets (before the new articulation), but I can easly recommend mega products.
>>6033252
Mega Bloks has made great strides in terms of manufacturing, but they still lag behind Lego in terms of QA. If you watch the Jangbricks review of the huge Enterprise set, he reports that an ENTIRE BAG of parts was missing from the box, and the original Spock figure he received looks like its head was dipped in black paint.
On the flipside, I've picked up a couple of Kubros sets and had no major problems. All parts the were included (although there were a couple of moments where I started getting a little nervous). The only problems I had were figuring out what color parts were being called for in the instructions and trying to figure out how the instructions wanted me connect parts at certain points. Other than that, it wasn't bad.
>>6033415
I had a missing bag in the lights&sounds Cobra, rather than go through the request process I exchanged it at TRU where I bought it, but other than a missing piece in a couple other sets I've had good experiences with them. Been into the Halo line since the beginning, my Gremlin does have a Lego piece buried inside somewhere as I was not patient enough to wait for the replacement, it's too much trouble to take apart for one small piece.
>>6033424
Yeah, Mega Bloks will send out replacements when parts are missing or damaged, but it still happens a lot more than it probably should. Meanwhile, the price of Mega Bloks continues to slowly creep upward with no corresponding improvements in QA. What I guess I'm getting at is that Mega Bloks is totally worth buying at a substantial discount. Full retail price? Not so much.
Any word on non-Lego building block Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals? I've been watching prices on my Amazon wishlist seesaw this past week, and I'm tempted to pull the trigger ahead of those days unless the prices are going to substantially drop.
Any place I can buy the Kyle Reese figure from terminator without getting the whole fucking prison truck?
I remember seeing a guy post something like an official mb product being sold on a chinese site in singles, it was april o neil ontop of that.

>>6034896
The dark hoods come from Assassin's Creed sets, I can't remember which one specifically.
You can easily make at least a couple MP5s out of most sets, since it's the standard barrel, the standard receiver, the standard ammo mag, and no stock.
>>6034896
>>6035147
The Atlas Troopers and Sniper troopers are a good base to build Duty from, as seen here: >>6027533
The Atlas Troopers also come with exoskeleton parts, very handy for Exosuit figures.
For Freedom, I used Jungle Troopers (note: Not Jungle *Rangers*) and Juggernauts, plus some tan and orange parts from various desert sets.
