It's a kit you put together. There are plenty of reviews. There are issues with the joints being too tight so it requires extra work with sanding the spaces for the mushroom peg unless you want static legs you can't turn without snapping the pegs.

It comes with a fuck huge rifle that breaks down into weapons most toys without open hands can't hold.

It's not the thighs themselves, it's the thigh/hip tie-in. Grinder looks a bit bulked up all over compared to the MP, but seems to have the same sized crotch/hips. It doesn't look bad, I like the overall figure actually, i just think a little more bulk in this area would have helped his proportions even more.

I got mine fromm bbts a week ago and I figured since I just got it and *if * there is an issue I'd rather have it break now while I can still get the foot replaced or return the whole thing. I've been transforming him back and forth and working that joint that the toe]heel is connected too and have not had a single issue. No stress marks either. I'm fairly confident at this point it was an isolated issue as my Overlord is still fine and since we havent heard from anyone else yet about the issue.

Oh yeah, I should mention that while his feet are fine and that dude was probably a troll, the tabs he mentioned on the backpack are 100% something to watch. I didn't even notice when it happened, but when I went to check the one that tabs into the wingtip was twisted maybe 30 degrees. It didn't break off, and I hairdryered it and twisted it back in place, but it's still something I'm watching. I'm not even sure how it got twisted, I can't think of anything in the transformation that would put that kind of force on it.

That's because he's doing it wrong. Fold the wings out first, then slide it down. I got it to do that once with the wings folded in and I am still shocked there wasn't any damage. Do it publicly and make sure you are very polite but do explain just how much trouble you are having contacting them and what's wrong. The third party vendors and companies hate having negative stuff show up like that where other people can see it so they're more likely to help you to make sure you don't keep posting stuff. Maybe even include pictures and if you have friends on those sites get them commenting on your pics too. Make it as big a deal as you can basically. I heard this from a friend who had trouble with an MMC part a long time ago and finally did that and it worked.

Primer ensures paint sticks better to a surface. I know this because I painted mini's for years and you had to prime everything: Metal, resin, plastic, or your paint would come right the fuck off.

And shit, if it was metal, it'd still come off anyway because paint on any metal chips if a fly farts 3 rooms away. It's why diecast and chrome are usually shit materials for toy making.

Since it took me so long to get to alt mode last night I couldn't go back to robot mode till tonight. So much easier. But again in left questioning the shoulders. Like every transformation of this figure had a "click" when the part is in the right spot. But these shoulder just seem to just sit there. Which makes putting the shield on the shoulder kinda loose and unsafe looking.

Also is there any combination I can do with the shield and the gun while he's weilding both swords ?

I got to admit I really like what they did to the transformation schemes to make these guys more accurate without copying the original toys. Extremely cool and inventive stuff going on with Slag's feet.The only awkward bit is jamming Sludge's dino head into the foot like that, but they got impressive results. These things are now on my radar. Still, I would have liked the yellow to have been shiny or the paint to match, and the tiny little 3mm fists aren't ideal at all.

How's Mightron at this scale? I have Tyrant but he's not painted and only really works with GT devs.

No shield/gun combo that I know of. The swords you've either gotta put in his hands, on his shield, or in a box somewhere if he's in robot mode. As for the shoulders, they're not supposed to lock in anywhere in robot mode because they're supposed to be repositioned as needed to accommodate the arms and get out of the way of the arms so you can pose them easily, then set the shoulder pads as needed for the pose.

Honestly, I kinda hate how Sludges dino mode head folds up into his calf and then just looks out of the gap. Sure, just having it fold up along his back wasn't exactly an elegant solution but it looked a lot less awkward. And at the end of the day, he STILL has a big useless chunk hanging off of his back so really, I would have rather seen them put the effort into hiding the tail down there than the head. I'm all for trying something different with characters but when part of the point is to adhere to G1 designs, then why change up the end result like that?

I do agree with the dino head just sticking out of the foot being really weird and out of place. But the rest of the figure looks pretty good, all things considered, and no one else is trying Legends sized Dinobots other than IF, and IF's are more Dynobots than Dinobots.

DX9 though always seems to be one of those companies that gets everything just the tiniest bit shy of perfect. It's good, but usually someone puts out something better. Problem here is, the only other company that really tackles Legends sized stuff already spit out their version of Dinobots.

This guy suddenly came in the mail today. I had to loosen the 3 screws to pull his leg and I added a coat of floor polish to the chrome part so they don't get ruined (Hopefully). Besides those 2 things I had to do out of the box, he looks freaking amazing. I managed to play with his prototype but this retail looks and feels more solid.

Cupola is fucking huge and is basically the closest thing to MP headmasters. Comes complete with Maketoy's signature pain in the ass transformation. Also may or may not come with extra parts to fix a few things wrong with the original release.

Code is a fun transformation but really limited thanks to the range and articulation, but you have 3 repaints to choose from. I don't think he's worth it next to other offerings around the same price.
