There definitely have been a few disappointing releases lately. Usual DBZ/Naruto quality, Black Widow face, Black Panther not having claws, WWE wrestler bodies, Jango Fett, SS Joker, what we've seen of Rey and Finn, etc. That being said, I think it's just an unlucky handful of releases lately with people like subjectanon blowing certain problems out way out of proportion. I think there's been a bit of a hiccup in quality, but I don't think it's enough to say there's a definite decline, especially when they're still putting out some great figures. Subjectanon can bitch about the dot printing all he wants, but I'm loving the results we're getting for realistic faces and I'm looking forward to them improving the technology even more.

The figures themselves are definitely getting better as a whole, but some lines have been lazy. Love Live in particular was really bad, and Naruto has been spotty. Kinnikuman has been aces from the get-go, and DBZ had a massive quality turn around this year and is even going back to re-release older figures with completely new molds. Star Wars has had solid figures, but accessories are desperately lacking, and there seems to be a trend of that across all lines.

The other thing is the price increase. It felt like a pretty sudden jump up, but I think a lot of that is licensing. The Western properties are usually the more expensive ones. But, the main competition that is figma is also increasing in price at a much higher rate, while also suffering from a general lack of accessories, though the quality of figures is very consistently high.

All in all, our 40 dollar weeb toys are getting more expensive, with better main figures, and fewer accessories. It is what it is, and I'm dealing with it by just being more picky with what I decide to purchase.

I only ask because I want a higher quality Ant Man from the original movie. The Civil War design wasn't bad but nowhere near as good.
I'm hesitant on getting the Ant Man figuarts cus I'm afraid they're gonna show off one from the original movie. It's probably too late for that though. For Marvel characters, I'd rather just have one iteration of each, and sure I could sell the Civil War Antman if that happens, but I'd rather just avoid that if I can.

I imagine it's just a cost-saving measure - no need to spend the extra money making window boxes if the product will only be sold online and therefore doesn't have to catch the attention of potential buyers on store shelves. This Bluefin deal has been kind of a disappointment. The Barnes and Noble by me actually had a nicer selection of Bandai stuff before the actual deal was finalized, when it was just Amazon overstock of something. The section has really shrunk. Granted part of it is probably due to the lack of people willing to pay that much for figures in this area. I don't expect much of this TRU deal, either, probably just the same DBZ and Sailor Moon figuarts. The Shinkenger sHFs at TRU from years ago seemed to bomb, too.

So, just got him and fresh out of the box. he feels really good in hand, due to all dat texture, the scult is pretty nice and I like the shoulders. I forget which figuarts where they started to be able to swing out like that, but I like it. The ab crunch and neck seem enhanced in some way as well. The cons I think are obviously no claw hands.. This is like no silver tips on faiz fingers all over again, and the leg articulation seems a bit limited to me.

For an Armored Batman, you are best off just looking at just armored Figuart figures like Iron Man. Otherwise you are basically basing how good a possible Figuart would be on another toyline.

Forgot to add that there is no word if there would be effect parts(Kikoken, Hadoken) but I don't mind since I can just take the effect parts from my PAK's and give them to the S.H. Figuarts figures(I also can use D-Arts Full Armor X's and Toybiz Ryu's).

Honestly the Storm Collectibles Ryu looks better at the same pricepoint (and possibly less shipping). SHF line may do characters Storm doesn't, though, and vice-versa.
