I looked up a tutorial on making your own flocking, by using cloth ribbon, unraveling it so the vertical fibers are all that's left, and then chopping the ends off into small bits of fluff. It's really time consuming, but turned out nicely.

Thank you! Honestly I didn't do anything to get the mohawk like that except cut it. I did hang the head upsidedown for a while to get it to stick up a little better, but it's all just cut and layered. I used hair I cut from a Casta I'm using for another custom, so it was fairly short to start with which may have helped.

Mattel made a fully articulated Frankie with light up features in the past with the "Ghouls Alive!" line. Which also shelfwarmed hard during the height of the MH craze a few years back.
Yes, the light up critter is a shitty action feature that ruins articulation, but it's understandable why they did it that way. Gotta have that tiny wire to go from Frankie's torso to the critter in her hand. You can't do that with the standard arm articulation in the way.

Rochelle is very over designed.

Dayna has some cute qualities but overall design is just a bit eh and the molded on top sort of kills it for me.

It's a fairly good line that suffered a bit being caught in the reboot, since it is pretty obvious it was meant for the old aesthetics.

The dolls have lots of new accessories and there is a surprising amount of painted details. Most of the looks are fairly cohesive, too. Rochelle is the weak link, with her look being over designed and having way too many different elements.
