Better ask that about this shit.

It's not too bad. There's at least one or two projects per approval wave that are great.

Forgive me if this is incredibly stupid to someone who knows how Legos work, but wouldn't it be fairly easy for Lego to keep a warehouse of bricks and have a model making program that would let you automatically order the needed bricks on a per model basis?
>>

They also had a program like that in place in the late 2000s. The program, Lego digital designer, was only shut discontinued a year or so ago.

The price of order a model through that program was higher than even ordering all the parts from lego directly, which itself is expensive compared to the escondary market.

What are you talking about? They updated it earlier this month.

because sorting through those parts is a very arduous task that services a very small niche

He meant the function that let you order all the bricks from your LDD creation, which was the original purpose of the program.

Now it's just an official system designing program.

Bricks & Pieces and Pick-a-Brick still exist and continously existed since Design by me.
It makes no sense that they would remove the function to order the parts from the program but still keep the services to order the parts outside of the program.

I wonder why they even have B&P and PaB. Some pieces are cheaper on PaB and B&P has every single brick currently in production and some of the older parts.

Common sense would dictate removing PaB and advertising B&P more but I have a gut feeling that they only keep B&P so the occasional parent can order a rare piece if they are capable of finding the service so it's mostly only for AFOLs buying rare parts in bulk for Bricklink stores.
