If you want an armored Batman, it's the best one.

Just put in the last payment for Hot Toys BvS Batman. For all the highs and lows, its the best I think Batman's ever looked in live action. I'm going for a collection of HTs that are mostly faithful to the source material; which is why I bought the Spider-man from that mediocre ASM2 movie. Actual comic style figures in this scale are pretty dubious quality, so this will do for now.

I think you're talking about me. I was lucky in that the wire was already poking out of the corner of the cape. Pulling it out was easy.

I had to snip a tiny hole in each corner of the cape to get the wire to go up in there.
You'll want to bend the end of the wire that you're pushing up the side of the cape or else it will just poke through.
Getting the wire through the side to the collar was kind of a pain, but it's possible.
Once it went up the whole way, I snipped the wire and used a tiny bit of super glue to close the hole. Did this to both sides.

DCC put out new photos of Armored Bats and Superman. Armored Bats has light-up eyes so apparently he might cost more than the initial pricing estimate.

Personally, I think they look good, but unless you collect the TV lines (like I do), these won't scale well with your 6" lines except maybe with your 7" NECA DC figures. Supposedly if these two don't sell well they won't be making Wonder Woman and the regular Batman.

That's true, looking at my CW Flash figures, as tall as they are, they're literally the same height as my ML Johnny Blaze Ghost Rider. Hopefully Superman and Batman's physique might offset the scale and make their heights look fine by comparison.

Licensing is tied to what the manufacturer wants to make. DC can't say "Hey, make more Green Lantern" and have it happen. They need to make GL look like it's a money magnet so that licensees come flocking to them.

And that's pretty much where they've been fucking up since... the early 90's? They had strong media tie ins with the Burton batmovies and the Timmverse shows but it's been downhill since Schumacher turned Batman into a neom nipple fetishist.

DC shows and movies have been shit for so long that they've destroyed most of the hype for their stuff. Didn't help that they got stuck with Mattel which ran the Timmverse and DCUC lines into the ground with cheap ugly toys.

No surprise that Mattel is still making cheap ugly toys even right now, for stuff like Suicide Squad and BvS.

the entire figure can be taken apart if you're careful. I removed the pegs of the knee joints from the upper and lower legs after I shot it with a blow dryer for a while before. Just be careful to not twist on anything too hard.

The upper legs can be popped off if you want. I suggest popping off the whole torso so you can look down the top of the crotch piece to see where they connect to the ball pegs. You could stick a tiny screw driver into the socket to slowly pry out the ball peg.

Since the entire knee apparatus is held together with what looks like metal rivets, I don't think much of anything can be done about looseness. Maybe just squirt a drop or two of pledge floor finish in there.

The theatrical cut was a mess, but the extended version is much better. Much of the backlash comes from a place of NOT MUH. I initially had issues with it for the same reason, but I came around on it as everything makes sense within the context of the movie, which itself is a deconstruction of the characters and the DC mythos in general. It's a more thoughtful movie than most superhero flicks, though it's certainly not without its faults, don't get me wrong. Most laymen must have been totally lost after a certain point, as it alludes to big things only fans would understand, and I get that.
But so much of is reception was over-exaggerated.

Now sit back and watch while I get shitposted to hell and back.

It's weird having toys this old brand new. I've bought ancient toys before from that one toy store that has had 20 year old toys in their bargain section, but this is the first time I've bought any I actually wanted as a kid. I distinctly remember ogling at the Batmobile in a catalog or the back of a Batman figure's packaging back then but I don't think I ever actually saw it in stores.

I'm thinking about getting Superboy and the VTOL Cycle from the old Man of Steel line as well as Street Biker Robin and the Robin Cycle from the Batman Forever line.

I got an email today saying that my order was being processed so it's gotta be soon. Modern Cap was also being processed today and that's already out so it could probably be out next week.

So I took the advice of that one anon and somehow managed to take out and put the wiring in the sides of the cape for Mafex Supes. Honestly it makes the figure feel 10 times better.

And actually, Begins' suit hasn't had much merch, it's usually the Dark Knight suit.
